Family / Re: My Wife's English Is Terrible! by franko2: 7:31pm On Jan 07, 2010
A bit of perspective here please! English is only a medium of communication, as in language - igbo, hausa, yoruba etc comes to mind as comparison. So, please, this person has not said his wife has a handicap, or is brainless, or unintelligent.

Remember that please!

In the corporate world, it is actually a standard procedure to sell your property(ies) to your firm and lease/rent it back, as well as to lease your property to your firm and whatever follows from there on, especially in terms of tenancy etc is up to the company.

Usually, all you need do so as not to fall foul of the law (in the UK), and I believe it is an acceptable practice in Nigeria as well, is to make sure you put in under the management of a company where you are separated/immune from in terms of day-to-day management and running. A bit similar to what OBJ did with his farms while he was Head of State, same as Atiku did with his various high falutin businesses including INTELS etc. All of which were deemed acceptable in the eyes of the law.

Person whey get oga position 4 work go chop now, abi? grin

Well done Amaka! Tell them, abeg

Cally is not comparable to Lsgidi, although its smaller and the rest but, is much better planned and the masterplan (almost) dilligently followed to a tee! Unlike lasgidi which has HAD no masterplan for over five decades, before ASIWAJU's Tinubu and now Fashola came on board to show the illiterate ex-leaders we've had (especially military) how to do iy.

Well done Fashola, and the author of this posting!

Romance / Re: In Love With A Much Older Man by franko2: 2:12pm On Dec 20, 2009
@ babylar

Every situation is dynamic, if a man takes advantage of a woman for whatever reason (including age and naivety), doesnt mean its a valid reason why such (age difference) romances arent ideal, or does it?

Personally, i think its better if the woman is the (much) older party than the other way round though, but, again i believe its all dynamic, should depend on the peculiarity of the situation

No big deal about older woman, ive had a few older babes and, they can dig it alrite,
Usually, the older woman doesnt give u all the pretence of our younger babes (sometimes they do, makes me mad! if it happens, )
And boy, can they pamper u!

I aint married so, cant really answer the question but, age hasnt been an issue re marriage as far as me concern
Properties / Re: Burnt Clay Bricks As An Alternative To Cement Block (less Expensive&looks Better by franko2: 2:29pm On Nov 18, 2009
Red bricks fine, main problem is with the artisans/bricklayers in nigeria, who do not like anything which needs EXACT standards of workmanship, too stressful for them. U will need to find the right kinda bricklayers to work it for u, else the job will be rubbish, like most (skewed) building workmanship in nig. With redbricks, rubbish worksmanship will not fly! Otherwise, red bricks very common in south africa and zimbabwe.

I think its also cheaper but, make sure u import workmen, maybe from our neighbouring countries and, u shud be fine.

Dont let those who dont really know put u off but, do more homework
