Thank you so much Sir, If I apply alone and I get my visa, how soon can my Husband apply for SOWP, is it possible we all can leave together even when we apply seperately,my Son is just a year old, should I apply with my son, then my husband applies separately, pls I need clarification and you advice, I appreciate you all
Your hubby can apply once you arrived Canada and have secured your study permit document. I will advice you apply with your son since he is just a year old, then your hubby applies seperately. Though the reason for your son accompanying you to Canada must be very persuasive.

Thank you so much for taking a time out to replay ... pls is it possible to get a PGD admission with HND CERTIFICATE AND which schools can the person apply to using her HND certificate?
You can certainly be admitted for a PGD program with HND certification. You can apply to Conestoga College and Fanshawe College.

Hello all,
Please I want to know if I can use a pension statement as my proof of financial support if I opt for the Nigeria Student Express(NSE).

Thank you.
No, you can't use pension statement as a primary proof of funds for study permit application.

What of someone that didn't do change of name and will there be a need to write SOP?
Generally, for the SOWP your spouse needs to write an SOP while you provide a letter of explanation (LOE). You can use this medium to provide any explanation whatsoever that would be helpful in your application while sighting why you haven't thought about changing your name after marriage would also suffice briefly.

Yaaaay. Glad to have you back o.
I just got my ielts result now. I wrote the CBT day before yesterday.
Kindly help me clarify if the bank statement for MBS is six months or 12 months.
In my own understanding, I believe they asked for a minimum of six months with at least 1 year of running the account but my friend is saying they meant one year bank statement.

Please help.

@Frankrobbin, I also sent an email in December. Please respond to it as my deadline is 16th. cry cry
Thanks for the warm welcome wishes. The requirement for the NSE program is a minimum of six (6) months Mybank Statement Certificate and one year regular banking history.

I hope his clarifies your concerns.

Hello everyone. Please I need your help and urgent response. How long does Spouse open work permit application takes?
There is no stipulated time frame a spouse open work permit takes for finalization. The recent approvals from my end takes about 4 months. Though, there are other applicants whose spouse applications are taking longer than expected (1year) and yet there seems to be no update from IRCC. Above all, it actually depends on applicant's case and how easily IRCC can verify information.

Same here oh, infact when PPR came, it didn't show as final decision did not show as "approved"
and as this minute it is still showing "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.", but the final decision has changed to as "approved", Also, I noticed that they didn't include the NSE docs I sent via mails.
What you're saying on your CIC account is completely "Normal". When an application has been approved by IRCC, the profile of the applicant will still be reading "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements".

Nonetheless, upon the receipt of the counterfoil with the duration of your visa on your profile, the eligibility review and background check will be updated as completed with it's respective processing dates.

Watch out for the above changes soon!

Can the spousal open work permit (SOWP) be obtained while in Nigeria or its done only when one is in Canada?
It has to be done where both spouse have legal permit. In that case, that can be within or outside Nigeria.

Pictures dont matter your marriage certificate is enough proof
Well, i have given a detailed breakdown of the documents needed to establish proof of relationship for married couples. For immigration purposes, pictures go a long to strengthen other supporting documents. Sometimes you can't tell what the immigration officer would be looking out for, so if there is photos it doesn't cost her anything to include it with her application.

Hello, Everyone. Greetings Frankrobbn1 and every other person here. This is my first post here. I just joined Nairaland today ooo lol. I'm here to find more information on how to go about studying in Canada. The whole stuff is really giving me headache already but I shall not relent. I have applied for an undergraduate diploma at College of the North Atlantic, Newfoundland and Labrador(Sept Fall intake). Waiting for my LoA. I used my NECO result since I'm not through with my ND(National Diploma), supposed to finish Nov. last year(2020) but covid-19 spoilt everything.will be rounding up before May this year (2021). Well, I'm trying to gather every document for online visa application before my LoA will come.
My problem now is how to show proof of ties. I don't have a job, kids, spouse, or business or even properties...... I need directions and guidance for this Canada study process...... Frankrobbn1, please I need your contact. I'm all alone on this journey and wouldn't want to miss this opportunity.
I will guide you through your immigration journey to Canada and with grace being by your side you will be successful. However, my professional advice for you is to seek admission at University of Regina than an undergraduate diploma at College of the North Atlantic, Newfoundland and Labrador. My reason being that your chances of approval success is very slim with the aforementioned College. I want to believe its because the school is cheap, hence you selected it as your preferred option. On the other hand, I'm giving you my own personal advice to ignore applying for your visa with the school. When you've successfully gained admission for a direct program at University of Regina, come back here for assistance and I'll gladly put you in the right direction.

Good evening House, pls I need your humble submission, I have been offered admission for masters in public health, I have a good paying job, but I intend applying for my study permit with my husband and a kid,pls how do I go about it?should I apply myself or use an agent?
What documents do I need to use for my husband and child,
Should I use the NSE route? Waiting anxiously for your candid responses, thank you
tracy0803409:
Pls as I am preparing to apply for my study permit, I am traveling with my Husband and son, so how do I apply, pls I need to be guided, is the application going to be together as a family, pls candid responses Gurus, I heartily appreciate you all
First and foremost, i would like to congratulate you on your acceptance into a designated learning institution in Canada. Secondly, there are lots of drawbacks associated with applying with your entire family as most often, visa officers have this notion that such applicant is using study permit as a means to relocate with the family to Canada rather than educational advancement. In view of this submission, I will prefer you apply alone and upon the successful assessment (approval) of your application, you can apply for your child and spouse to accompany you to Canada. With this info on file, it will be much more easier to convince the visa officer that you're a bonafide student and would return to your family (spouse and kid) after studies. On second thought, if you're financially buoyant crowned with adequate ties (landed properties, buildings, investments in the bank etc), you can apply with your family. I can hardly count the number of successful applicants I know who filed for a family application and were approved of their visas. Conclusively, i will advice you utilize the NSE program when applying for your visa.

Greetings great minds. Please house, I need your input. A friend of mine got his Letter of Introduction after getting his PPR but his accompanying Son (infant) got his PPR without a Letter of Introduction. Is this normal?
The letter of introduction for the principal applicant is sufficient for the accompanying dependant son. She should proceed to submit their passports for visa issuance.

I would like to know if for the NSE application , the total amount of the 6 months bank statement should be equal to 30000 Cad or there should be 30,000 cad as a closing balance .
The closing balance as stated by IRCC should be 30,000CAD.

Im going for my service by feb and i can get a food company to work for my service year (1year)
I studied Biochemistry 2.2
Fantastic!, you can make the explanation more elaborate by explaining to the immigration authorities how you garnered experience during your work with the food company while participating in the compulsory NYSC which stimulated your interest to further your post graduate studies in Food Technology. You can also mention some of the challenges you've experienced first-hand in the food industry in Nigeria which you have ardent desire to improve upon your return to Nigeria.

I believe this makes sense. All the best with your NYSC program.

Pls I need to ask this question... Is it wise to include that my parents are resident of European country and my younger brother is a citizen and their properties purchased in my name as the first son are somehow in my care since they are not in Nigeria. As proof of home tie?
You've a great deal of work to do in your application, most especially when establishing strong ties with your home country. Given that your entire family (parents and siblings) are resident of an European Country, you're better off showing that you've immovable assets in your name with valuation report, as well as briefly discuss about your plans of getting married to your fiancee immediately after the completion of your studies. Attach relevant documents like engagement photos etc. Your future career prospects and goals after studies would also be a strong point to bank upon as motivation to depart from Canada.

Pls I have a question. A frd of mine applied for a college diploma because her highest level of education is HND ...pls is this the right move because some people are saying that the vo will consider educational progression ... pls your opinion
With an HND certification, her best option to show academic progression is going for a Post Graduate Certificate in an area of study that is in tandem with her previous education and/or current work experience.

Hi everyone,

I got married after submitting my application. Now that I have been approved, how do I go about applying for my husband to join me.

I raised a webform to update my marital status already, but I don't know what visa to apply for him to join me.

Thank you in advance.
Your spouse would apply for spousal open work permit (SOWP). You need to provide legal documents to prove that you're legally married to him.

You need the following documents to establish relationship with your spouse (hubby)

PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP DOCUMENTS
1. Marriage Certificate
2. Newspaper change of name
3. Throw back family pictures
4. Snap shot of WhatsApp video call or messages for the last six months (if any).
5. Wedding photos.

I hope this information is helpful to your enquiry.

I don't know, that's why I am asking. I know someone that travelled to UK with 700k they worked and planned everything out for d guy and he moved. spent about 280k for flight. So I think a way to relocate to Canada is possible but I don't know how. I want to move asap
With your sense of desperation to leave Nigeria, I hope you don't fall into the wrong hands as there are lots of agents on the streets looking for the slightest opportunity to defraud people of their hard earned money. I reiterate, you can't travel to Canada with only 500k, there is no such immigration program.

Thank you @frankrobbn1 a Big Amen please i have 2 bank acct i am intending to keep #4m and #1m respectively as $10k cad while my sponsors acct will have #5m for my tuition note the SOA of my sponsor has more than #10m. My main concern is the #4m will just be paid to my acct by my sponsor i am thinking to state and provide proof in my LOE. pls advice me
Its highly advisable that you should provide a written explanation and verifiable proof as to any large deposit that came into your account towards the submission of your application. My professional advice for you is to clearly state in your LOE that your sponsor have transfered/deposited the sum of 4M into your account for your living expenses and to show his readiness to sponsor your education in Canada.

can I get to Canada with 500k?
This must be the most hilarious question of the year grin cheesy. Pardon my manners, 500k can only pay for your flight itinerary. The lowest tuition fee for international student in Canada is between 8KCAD to 13KCAD which is equivalent to 2.5M to 4M. It doesn't stop there, you also need to show proof of your first year living expenses in the amount of 10KCAD.
