Good morning house, please help a Sis.

I want to start my application and it’s self sponsor. I am a public servant and a proprietor. I have money in my school account while my savings and salary account is less than 500k. If I move 11M from my School account to my savings because I have read severally that it is not safe to use Business account. what explanation would I give in my SOP and do I need any gift deed?

Please I need a replyπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

I don't think it would ideal to transfer the entire funds at once into your salary account if you've not experienced such inflow in that account. I will suggest you transfer the funds in tranches from different sources, then you can move about 5M at once from your company's account and provide both bank statements.

Pls i need help i want to know if i can move with my family as an undergraduate student

You can move your family through any means be it undergraduate, post graduate or doctorate level. I will suggest preparing an airtight application with sufficient funds in your bank statement to show you can cover for yourself as well as your dependents without working in Canada.

GOOD AFTERNOON ALL PLEASE HOW DO I REQUEST FOR GCSM

You can order for your gcms notes through this IRCC official website https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do. However, you may need someone who is resident in Canada to help you place an order on your behalf. The cost of ordering the file is $5.

Good evening everyone.

Please has anyone used Nigeria Student Express (NSE) Stream?

1. What are the steps involved?

2. How long does it take to process?

3. What are the documents to submit..

4. Is there a separate website after application where you choose Nigeria Student Express (NSE) Stream?

Thanks and God bless you all

From my good working experience in handling complex Canadian immigration cases, I don't believe NSE is still in existence. The program was scrapped off in June 2021 and since then every application goes through the standard processing times.

Pls my Aunt is my sponsor but she is married with another surname
Pls I need your help on how I'm gonna apply for the study permit with her being my sponsor and still getting approved
I've once been denied
I have all the necessary documents to prove her financial ability including company and landed properties documents
Thnaks

Provide the following information in your application to prove strong relationship with your sponsor.

1. Payment of tuition fees in Canada
2. Transfer of living expenses (about 4M) from sponsor's account into your personal account.
3. Family tree diagram showing how this sponsor related to you (from paternal and/or maternal side).
4. Old pictures showing you and your aunt
5. Proof of history or ongoing financial support (this can be proven by presenting your bank statement showing history that she has been supporting you financially)

I hope this information suffices to address your enquiry on how you can demonstrate relationship with your aunt.

Please how much is good for a spouse to have as POF in order to apply for πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ spousal open work permit ? And can the spouse acts as the sole and main sponsor or his partner in Canada must have a part to play in this sponsorship thing ?

It's nice to be here again. Happy New Year to Everyone! I'm rooting for everyone and wishing you all a promising and fruitful year in 2023.

@jaydave, I'll attempt your question, your spouse can have the entire funds in his bank account. The amount involved will be contingent on the family size. Is he applying alone? And/or How many kids do you've?

Applying alone : he should show 10M in his account.

Applying with kids: 16M and above.

Imagine have been served breakfast since November 9th and i did not see it on my portal or get any email from IRCC.

I emailed Nairobi on Monday about my application and they sent me the letter today. 6 months of waiting. Ogaa ooo cry cry cry :' cry

What type of visa did you apply for (study permit or visitor's visa?

The visa officer is not satisfied that your current employment situation doesn't show you're sufficiently well established and you've also not provided adequate evidence to support your guarantor's income or assets.

Please provide answers to this question and I would advice you appropriately.

Good morning @frankrobbn1,

I was refused the first time due to purpose of visit which I tackled then I was refused for this October for the second time due to assets and finance.

I applied to Crandall University for Master of Management (2yrs course), I paid one year tuition, had 2.4m in my personal account and my elder brother in the UK who is a pharmacist is my sponsor who paid the first year tuition and had around 40k pounds in his UK account and about 19m in his naira.

I'm about to reapply next month and I want to increase the money in the money to 5m through a gift deed from my immediate elder brother. I want also add my sponsor's landed property in Lagos & Abuja to my application. I used my 3 siblings in Nigeria, including mu nieces and nephews and my inheritance as hometies.

Please what will you advise?

I learnt that you need my attention on your refused Application. Going by what you've done and plan to do in order to salvage the concerns of the visa officer. I will further advice you provide a property in your name and if possible get a real estate surveyor to value the property. This will considerably help your case and overcome the issues in your last application.

So you are saying there is no need to inform them of the new LOA.

You can certainly send them the LOA via webform to update your records. It doesn't hurt your profile.

Question ni ooo, studied psychology, but went into finance, worked in the bank and later registered his own company, which is into different buisness, now he wants to do master in either finance or buisness, is this possible since he studied psychology?
Also he has low gp,2.2. he is considering graduate certificate.
Any help, advise or Recommendation.
Thank you

Career advancement is very critical when considering a study permit application. In a bid to show that there is progression in his career, opting for a business or finance program is a logical progressive step for him. He stands a better chance to convince the visa officer about his intent to pursue the business course since he has been running a company of his own over the years.

Hello Guru's in the house,

I have been battling with my GCMS note for some days now just to know how best I can send ircc a webform/email to tackle the paragraph marked in red.

1) Expired LOA: I have sent ircc updated LOA for August 23 intake no acknowledgement from them before the note.

2) Non NSE: Passport will expire before the end of stay. My passport will expire July 23 that is like 9month from now. (I want to start application for renewal but the timeframe for passport nowadays is getting me worried. Please advise.

3) Saving (POF): *LUMP SUM* I have decided to resubmit all backing documents and add more receipt/invoice for bulk transaction. Please advise.

They clam I didn't provide history for fix deposit which did but I will send it again.

Please gurus@Olokings, @Frankrobbn1,@Makano,@Justmellow,
@ Bullstriker make una biko help me oooo

Starting October 1, 2022, all COVID-19 border requirements, including vaccination, mandatory use of ArriveCAN, and any testing and quarantine/isolation requirements will end for all travellers entering Canada whether by land, air or sea.

Kindly see the source from IRCC website.

Just out of curiosity, I have noticed there are way more women in the japa industry. UK, Canada, etc. Why is it so?

The summary of this statistics are simply because women tend to be more protective over the future of their kids. They want to relocate to a country where the system truly works, where their kids can showcase their talents and they will be celebrated as well as excel in their academic/career endeavors.

PS: Insecurity is also a factor women consider highly!

good day everyone,
Please i'll like to know if there is a particular format for writing the Canadian visa SOP

A standard statement of purpose (SOP) should cover these clauses in this format:

1. Introduction
2. Academic background
3. Why the course
4. Why the school and Canada
5. Future goals after studies
6. Family ties in Nigeria
7. Financial Provision

This isn't true according to IRCC Twitter I raised a concern like this if it is more than 150days and you don't inform them, your visa will be deactivated till you submit a new LOA

In most cases, IRCC officials might not ask for it. Only on a few occasions, would they request for updated LOA. Some visa officers can approve a visa when the program start date has elapsed.

Hello guys,
I have just been sent my new LOA from my school. It is till September 2023. I want to ask again, is there any need to inform IRCC or I wait till my application is approved. If approved, does it expire or is there a timeline for me to travel.

June 18th applicant.
Eligibility started 9th September

There will be no need sending the updated acceptance letter to IRCC since its a far resumption date. As for the duration, the visa will be valid untill the period of your program, so you can certainly be able to travel with it by next year.

You welcome Justmellow and good to have you back.

The bittered souls that have been claiming Fake PPR from you gurus have not for once brought out concrete evidence to prove their points, but they chose to tarnish the images of selfless people like you, frank and Makano on this thread out of Envy and hate. I can even see one of the bittered people acting like a guru here whereas he doesn't know shit.
It's good to see you are back and I hope Frank and Makano come back too so this thread can be enriched with professional advice and guidance, cos truth be told, We do not get accurate answers to the questions on this thread again..

It is quite unfortunate that I am seeing the misleading and incorrect information about me on this platform. However, it gives me courage that "As you build something worthwhile, be ready for the critics. Therefore, never let criticism stop you from doing what you know how to do, for it is the only way to grow in your competence and gain more popularity in the industry".

I'll be here from time to time to respond to enquires and assist others in realizing their immigration objectives to Canada. Although, if you take the time to read through my previous contributions on this platform, you should have a better insight on how the entire processes works. I believe to the best of my knowledge that I have been able to answer every questions that relates to immigrating to Canada.

I wish everyone the best in their respective applications.

Hello all. I am about to start my visa journey. My medical is this week and I want to submit my visa application as soon as it's finished but I have some things I need clarification on.
My total fees have been paid by my dad and we have the receipt from the school but the money plus my upkeep money which he has transferred to me was given to him by my uncle so his account is now empty so I don't know how it will be to add him as a sponsor
Can I just use myself as self sponsored since I already have the total school fees receipt and the upkeep money in my account?

You can tag the entire funds as "Deed of Gift" from your dad. By so doing, you don't need his financial statements and you can be self-sponsored.

@ Frank and my nairaland friends

You can certainly use your mum as your primary sponsor for your study permit application. You should have some funds in your bank account. With this, you don't need to include your hubby as your sponsor.

If one's course is for one year but was given two years visa. How many years PGWP does the person qualify for?

The length of your visa is not a determinative factor for the duration of your PGWP. Thus, if your program duration is one year, IRCC will issue you a 1 year PGWP. Should you want to be qualified for three years PGWP, you may have to enrol for another course and at the completion you will be granted 3yrs PGWP.
