Once the counterfoil number and the duration of your visa has been uploaded on your CIC account. It implies that your visa has been appended on your passport and ready for pickup.

So it now takes 28 days to reply to a webform
In most cases, you might not receive any acknowledgement email from IRCC, however, your request has been attended to and appended on your GCMS note.

Good morning Honorables,

I want to make an enquiry

My program was for Fall 2020, so I didn't defer, I wanted to get my approval first bfor deferring.
So I got the APPROVAL & I deferred, and I just recently got my New admission letter (LOA) and other details for Fall 2021.

I have alrdy sent my Passport to VFS, (Thursday last two weeks)

My question now is,

Can i send my New Admission Letter (LOA) to IRCC now or wait till I get my Passport stamped

Thanks

cc: Chocs , Frankrobbn1 , JustMellow & Honorable members in house
The processing of your application has been finalized, there is no relevance sending a new LOA to IRCC. Your visa is valid till the duration of your program, for this reason, you can travel to Canada by next year, 2021.

Omo , them Mohawk and Humber are quoting over 4.5 million for PGD programs . Looks likely I have to forfeit the Canadian dream now
I will advice you prepare yourself financially as you will not only be required to show proof of funds for tuition but will also demonstrate that you can cover for your living expenses of 10,000CAD. Canada comes with a lot of financial burden, you may want to explore other European countries.

what do you think about memorial University of Newfoundland? I searched and found that their tuition fee is quite low but I think it's in a remote part of canada.
Memorial University is a good institution and their candidates usually get approval. My post was actually referring to Colleges in remote areas.

Good Morning,

Must part payment for tuition fees be from sponsor's account?

Any red flag if it comes from the account of the applicant?

Your response appreciated.
It doesn't matter if the tuition fees is paid from the applicant's account. However, it adds more credibility to your application if the funds came from your Sponsor's account.

Day whatever , I'm still on the search for a college and low tuition schools offering PGD in social sciences ... Frustration is setting in gradually but eventually
Most often going for colleges with lower tuition especially in rural areas dramatically decreases your prospect of getting an approval. Consequently, I'll recommend you apply to good colleges in Canada in the likes of Humber College, Constoga College, Mohawk College, Fanshawe just to mention a few. You can probably switch to another college upon your arrival in Canada if you feel that you can't afford the fees of these Colleges.

Well done everyone .
I am a graduate of English ,can I go for a diploma course in Journalism or any related discipline?
2) Is it possible for one to change program, probably if you are no longer interested
Ie if you are already in Canada .
Pls I need responses.
Thank you all
I will advice you for a Post Graduate program that is reasonable in light with your current job role. In the event that a program in Journalism is a progression in your career path, you can apply for it.

You can change your DLI and Program to another, however, you must advice IRCC via your CIC account about the change and provide proof of enrollment and maybe a copy of your tuition receipt in the new program.

I need to drop this so that posterity will judge me kindly. Apparently this is my first post on this forum and I hope it won’t be the last. I have actually being on here for more than 3 years. I have learnt a lot in this journey from how to seek for potential supervisor up to ppr. I started reading from thread 1, initially, I have so many trouble questions but each time I read all my questions would be asked by somebody and answers are easily provided. The more I get more information and the more I get questions and answers. Many thanks to those that ask irrelevant and good questions plus lots of appreciations to those that freely provided answers to all questions.
I bet you, if you take your time to read, you will easily get answers to most of your questions. Some guys in the past have done good justice such as, phemmy, thesoj, yemdog, maziude, osemigho, jynuwa etc just to mention a few. There is one guy called breadandbeans, the guy spitted some fire, I think he has long deactivated his account for the reason best known to him.
I appreciate God Almighty for absolute everything plus many thanks to frankrobben1, this guy is actually an Angel in human skin. He has a large heart and despite all the dirt thrown at him he still continue to respond to people request happily. Frank, I personally appreciate you and the advice you gave for the finance really worked a lot for me. Only God Almighty will answer all your obvious and secrete prayers.
I really sold myself very well with evidences. I introduce myself and discuss my passion for Engineering, Electronic Systems Engineering to be precise. I discuss how I became the University Scholar when I got to 200l with free tuition fee and a yearly stipend of 20k till I graduate and I attached the scholarship certificate having attained and maintaining a CGPA of 4.0 and above (God bless the then VC Prof. Hussein). I discuss my excellent skills in some computer application such as Unix and SQL, I also discuss about my knowledge of machine learning using python. I moved a step further to talk about my masters having graduated with distinction which was one of the best result of my set. Finally, I mentioned my plan upon return to my home country after my studies.
Program: PhD Electronic System Engineering
School: University of Regina
Documents submitted:
All CIC forms
SOP
Admission Letter
Funding
Personal statement of account of 4.3M (My mum gifted 4.2m which was advised by Frank)
Marriage certificate and birth certificates of my kids

hello house,

special thanks to uncle frank and everyone here who has been encouraging on this journey.

received bvl yesterday after sending web form on friday
ppr today
aip was september 18th.

got my gcms notes and discovered how thorough IRCC guys are. they checked my profile thoroughly. i am glad i didn’t have issues with having an EE profile. please note that every single web form you raise is added to your profile. keep everything honest, respectful and straightforward.

i am amongst those who kept saying aip would mean final approval when others were in doubt. i cannot help but be positive all the time. my classes are going on full swing and i may be amongst those to finish two semesters from the comfort of my home before traveling to round up my semester if need be. i have been very favored in my school and with my professors. countless doors have opened alongside my studies that being physically on campus may have limited. All things work together for good.

congratulations to all of us. we pray for favour for those expecting their own to come.
My very good buddy @Faithyyyyy. A big congratulations to you on the success of your application. I'm happy to be part of your TRV journey. My best wishes are with you in your academics. Thanks for sharing your experience.

One thing this Study Visa Journey has taught me is PATIENCE

My little advice for TRV hopefuls & Future Applicants

1) I will encourage every applicant to fulfil all righteousness when crafting their Canada study application

Remember "No Two Application is the Same" (there are many factors attached to this statement such as - different academic backgrounds, work experience, Marital Status, the Visa Officers reviewing your application & lots more)

2) Avoid any form of assumption that a Visa Officer won't need this or that, do your due diligence.

3) Show Career/Academic/Logical Progression most especially your Degree/Work Experience should be resonating with the Program you are going for

also,

Show Progression in the qualification of Program you are going for e.g
- B.SC grad (2.1) going for a Masters
- B.SC grad (2.2) & HND grad going for a PGD/PG. Cert/ Post Baccalaureate Diploma

If you have a 2.1 and you want to go for a PG. Cert, endeavor to show cogent reasons in a convincing manner in your SOP why you are going for a PG. Cert instead of a Masters Degree

4)- Assume yourself as a VISA OFFICER, assess your documents, read ur SOP to urself and point out your errors.
- Also regarding ur SOP, avoid any form of Plagiarism to the bearest minimum.
- Show Originality when writing your SOP,
- Be 100% Patriotic - don't say unpleasant things about Nigeria on your SOP, how you can upgrade your career and also help in the improvement of the Nigerian Economy after studying in Canada is very Paramount, talk about it in your SOP.
- Avoid Grammatical Errors in your SOP
- Subheadings Will make your SOP readable, don't write your SOP in Composition/Essay Manner
- Any thing you mention in your SOP, make sure you have a document that confirms it.

5) Read Success Stories of Applicants that have gotten Approval in the Past, most especially from 2018 till date, you might just see an applicant with your exact kind of profile that got approval which u can learn one ot two things from.

6) Also, if you are on the verge of starting or submitting your application, endeavor to ask questions in the forum on things u are not clear of. There are many things you gonna learn here that an agent don't know about or won't even tell you.

If you are an Applicant going for Masters/PH.D, this thread is a training ground for you to learn how to do research before the real research, so don't feel bad if someone tell you to start reading from Page 1, u gonna gain a lot.

7) Take your time and read this Thread Explicitly.
I never had an iota of experience on Canada Study Visa application. Reading this thread in my leisure period for a year helped me tremendously and this made my application strictly DIY (do-it-yourself)

cool Finally,
after Submitting your application, Talk to God to take Control/Charge of your Study Visa Processing, cos in every situation (good or bad) God will still be God.

As we all know the motto of this forum
"it will end in Praises (in frankrobbn's Voice)"

I'm wishing all applicants awaiting a decision from IRCC a FAVORABLE ONE

Remain Blessed Honorable Sir's & Ma's!!!!
Finally the golden mail has landed. I can now rest from your incessant emails and worries about your application grin. Thank God for success and I celebrate your victory Lekan. It's a great pleasure assisting with your application. May Canada favour you. I hope you will be around to assist others in achieving theirs. All the best.

It will end in praise.

Just got my PPR after waiting since first week of February!!!
I applied on the 6th of February, got medical request on the 3rd of March. Passed medicals on the 12th and I didn’t hear anything from Ircc till July when I got my bvl from Nairobi. I didn’t get AIP so I had to defer till winter 2021 semester.
I sent them so many strong worded web forms (to every visa office; Kenya, Ghana, London and even China) this past two weeks (at some point I even felt like I was being rude but I did not care after waiting for almost nine months).
I even made my friend to email her MP in Canada and I sent emails (the same strong worded email) to the minister of immigration and and the PM . Anyways this morning I got an email from cic and lo and behold, my ppr.
This platform and the people behind it were really helpful so I wanted to say thank you! And to those waiting, it’s probably coming sooner than you expect!
Special mention to justexcellent and frank for being there to listen to me rant and help me out.

Also for those who have submitted their passports what’s the process? Thanks!
Congratulations to you Chioma. I appreciate you leaving your feedback and sharing your experience. It's very rewarding to be part of your success story....May Canada favour you!

Thank you for your response. I have sent an email and filled a web form case to Nairobi.
I want to find out, is it true they won’t begin processing unless the biometrics is updated?
Could it be that they’ve received it but it hasn’t just reflected?
Please do you also know how long it takes before it’s rectified.
Someone I know who did on the same day and same center I had mine got hers updated same day.

Thank you.
In this recent times, I have come to understand that IRCC can begin processing on an applicant's application prior to the receipt of a biometrics details. I have seen on countless occasions wherein a visa officer reject an application pending the applicant's biometrics. From the wisdom of my experiences, the immigration authorities have received your biometrics enrollment details and presently working on your file. As earlier said, its possible that there is a system glitch and the best way out of this is to raise a general CSE to IRCC and Kenya immigration office. On a normal condition, biometrics enrollment details should reflect in your MyCIC account within 1-2hrs after submission of your fingerprints at the VAC. I will advice you keep all hope alive and continue sending a message across to the responsible visa offices until they attend to your request.

Please I need your advice on this...I just finished my MBA and I want to progress with my new career in business analysis. As of the time i was just finishing I had not gotten my result and certificate and the only degree i had was in biochemistry. I made application to study in canada but was refused based on my purpose of travel and immigration status.

Quote from the VO:

Nigerian single female. Exemption code C32 (co-op for post-secondary international students) for u of Manitoba. Career trajectory is not justified and illogical at such an expense for relocation. The applicant can find a similar course of study in the UK or in her home country - not necessary to relocate to Canada for a three semester course. The applicant studied biochemistry in Lagos- this proposed course of study is now it line with previous academic achievements. Status in the UK is expiring this April. On the whole am not satisfied this applicant's main objective in Canada is to further her studies - refused on purpose as the path and academic focus are not logical, as well as immigration status (expiring in April).
Having critically examined the GCMS notes, the visa officer has expressed concerns about your choice of program which is not reasonable considering the fact that there are similar available programs in the UK and Nigeria. More so, there is no correlation between Biochemistry with your intended program in Business Analysis. Again is the fact that your immigration status in the UK will soon expire in April.

In light of the above concerns of the visa officer, I'll suggest that you return to Nigeria and reapply for your study permit or more preferably you renew your permit in the UK in either case would work. Most importantly, however, in your next application, apply for a program that is directly relevant to your previous studies in Biochemistry. To ease the difficulty of searching for a program, you can apply for Msc. Biotechnology in Brock University or University of Windsor as this program has strong connection with Biochemistry). Its is highly recommended that you should write a well detailed and concise LOE (3-4 pages max) demonstrating that your situation has substantially changed by highlighting the changes you've made in this current application. The LOE should explain comprehensively your career path and why you chose to pursue an MSc in Biotechnology and its associated benefits to your future goals and prospects in Nigeria. I would further recommend you mention three to four core courses you've done during your undergraduate program in Biochemistry that is relevant to your intended program - this will enable the VO understand that in fact your proposed program is clearly an academic progression.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Long post alert!

SHARING MY STUDY PERMIT APPLICATION APROVAL.

This is my Second Application (Undergraduate Student with five years study gaps)

Timeline
Submission: January 20, 2020
Medical request: February 12, 2020
Request for updated bank statement: February 13, 2020
Request for first year tuition fees: February 13, 2020
Request for updated LOA: February 13, 2020.
Medical passed: February 28, 2020

I raised a webform to the Canadian embassy in Nairobi requesting for an extension for me to be able to meet up with their requirements due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, international transactions was a bit difficult during that period.

Submitted updated acceptance letter via mycic account: March 12, 2020 (there was provision for upload on my portal). It took the school (University of Regina) one month to process a new LOA because I have utilized all my deferral chances.

Paid first year tuition and uploaded proof of payment via webform: May 18, 2020.

After fulfilling all the IRCC requirements it moved to a complete silence that lasted for 3 months. Although, I kept sending follow up emails and webforms to inquire if they recieved the documents I sent to them and whether they require additional documents from me. In all of the enquires (webforms) I sent to them, they only acknowledged one while the rest were generic responses about the impact of COVID-19 in Visa processing. This made me restless because I don't know their next course of action.

Lo and Behold, AIP: August 18, 2020
Requested a GCMS note for me to know the status of my application: August 25, 2020.
Received my GCMS noted stating all the verifications were passed, and I found out that my application has been approved : September 17, 2020.
BVL: October 29, 2020
PPR: October 30, 2020

During the long wait, I always remind myself of his words in - Mark 11:24. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” I belived firmly and trusted that God was strongly involved in my case.

I would like to use this great opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to an exceptional, hard working, God-fearing and selfless brother (frankrobben) who helped me with getting my visa approval. Frank helped me with the whole process, starting with the robust evaluation of my previous visa refusal, securing admission at University of Regina, laying out all the next steps and helping me throughout each and every part of the process. He addressed all the concerns of the visa officer, shared his expert advice and answered my questions in a timely and respectful manner. I couldn’t imagine doing this without him. God bless you @frankrobbn1

I am grateful to God Almighty for his perfection in my application. Secondly, my appreciation goes to Frank for going out of his way to see that this application was a success.

My advice to everyone is that while we are waiting for the Lord’s answer, let us not despair, let us trust in the times when GOD is silent to us because HE is doing something good for us. Let us pray constantly and above all give thanks and praise to GOD, just because HE will not leave us in the midst of trials.

… GODs time is always the best!.

I wish you all a successful application. Like Frank will always say "It will end in praise"
I had no doubt in my mind that your application would be successful given the solid arguments and supporting documents submitted. Thanks for trusting and believing my capacity. It's a great pleasure assisting with your application. I wish you all the best in Canada.

Thank you.
This often happens especially when there is a system glitch. I will advice you raise a CSE to the Nairobi immigration office via this medium: IRCC WEBFORM NAIRAOBI

More so, you contact them again via this Email address: nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca

Thanks so much for the quick response.

I have tried this route but the score is not favorable am just seeking other route and you know how IELTS can keep messing up the chances of getting high score.
Keep on trying and never relent. if possible take out time from work to prepare yourself for the IELTS exam. I believe the 8,7,7,7 is obtainable if you invest more time and effort in your practice. I know some of my colleagues who finally got the required score at their seventh trial. I may also want to share you with some of the resourceful materials I have with me so you could use them in your preparation. Never give up, your victory is right around the corner.
