Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigerian Lady Loses Her UK Job For Telling Her Boss Sorry, Explains(vid, pics) by franktolk(m): 10:50am On Mar 22 |
sorry /ˈsɔri/ /ˈsɒri/ IPA guide Other forms: sorrier; sorriest; sorrily To be sorry is to feel regret or feel bad about something — usually something you did. "I'm sorry" is an apology. If you're feeling sorry about something, then you're feeling a combination of sadness and regret. You can be sorry for things you did, and you can also be sorry for bad things that happen to other people that don't involve you. At a funeral, people say "I'm sorry for your loss." The word sorry can also be used as an adjective to mean shoddy or crappy, as in "That is one sorry excuse!" Source: https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/sorry |

ictplotter: Jesus was simply speaking metaphorically in those verses you've quoted. Jesus was telling us that his word will divide people, even within families. Have you not seen some families disowning their child just because he accepts the Lord Jesus ? Have you not seen some people getting really pissed off just because someone mentioned Jesus or just at the sight of the cross? Jesus in Matthew 5 , verse 43 - 48 says we should love those who persecute us. Matthew 5:43-45 Love for Enemies 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous 1 Like |

PrinceOfLagos: It seems you don't know the full story about the Pope's visit in 1998. Please don't misinform the public The Pope was in Nigeria to negotiate the release of all the political detainees and social activists held in captivity by the government of General Sanni Abacha. The Papal's visit was not about merry making and frolicking with the government of the day but rather he was on a truce brokering mission. If I'm not wrong, Gen Abacha died shortly after the visit and that of Yasser Arafat . 4 Likes |

Michael547: Yes, you have the Baptist, Anglican, Methodist, ECWA, Catholic, Apostolic faith, CAC, Foursquare, Presbyterian, and many more. Not all these business ventures littering every nook and cranny. Mind you, I'm not saying all "one man churches" are business ventures but you just have to be extra careful, rightly dividing the word of truth when dealing with them as they are good at manipulating people's minds. 39 Likes 4 Shares |

Donkogbe: If it's one of the "one man churches", it's now time for you to make a decision to stay or to look for another church to worship. The Bible says ". ..by their fruits you shall know them" A Classic example is the story of the Widow's mite The Widow’s Offering Mark chapter 12: 41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. 43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.” 40 Likes 4 Shares |
Politics / Re: Why Is Tinubu Standing Alone At The G20 Summit ? Nobody Interacting With Him by franktolk(m): 2:51pm On Sep 09, 2023 |
There's nothing strange about it. It's very common when you find yourself among the whites and non blacks, they don't easily associate or relate with blacks in a gathering ( be it in school, party, public area etc). The only exception is if they are drunk, you'll see them coming to interact with you with confidence but once the hangover clears they're back to their recluse selves. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

Emekaphilip360: Solar panels do not need direct sunlight to work. They only need daylight, even though maximum efficiency is reached when the sun is shining, electricity is still produced on cloudy days and during winter. On the other hand, no electricity can be produced at night, but a storage system can solve this problem. |

It seems Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla is igbo ( from Enugu State) When it comes to security you don't give room to emotions, a great sense of logistics and high level of intelligence is required and you will want to be surrounded by your perceived loyalists. At the moment the government of the day will not want to make itself vulnerable to attacks ( I guessed you know examples of such attacks?). 4 Likes 1 Share |

If Keloids he may need to get kenalog injection injected into his scalp. Kenalog injection actually comes with some side effects, reason why it's been stopped in some countries. I'll keep remembering him in my prayers. This is just a passing phase , it would soon pass in Jesus name. Amen |

FalseProphet1: I have also noticed that 99.5% of Igbos are supporting Peter Obi. But amongst the Yorubas, you'll discover that the statistics is very different. The choice of presidential candidates varies a lot , you'll see some yorubas supporting Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, Omoyele Sowore , Bola Tinubu to name a few .Yorubas and the yorubaoid group have always been cosmopolitan in nature and welcoming to other nationalities. So looking at it objectively, which of the 2 tribes is tribalistic? I know for sure that if Obi hadn't been one of the presidential candidates, the vast majority of Igbos will pitch their tents with Atiku . So please spare me that statement that yorubas are tribalistic. 2 Likes 1 Share |
