While I don't agree with the circumstances surrounding the recall , I welcome this development . It is better we let the senators know that they can be recalled by their constituencies. The sooner they know this the better , they were voted in as senators to be the eyes of their people in making decisions that will better the lives of the people but the moment they get elected into office they think they have arrived .
It is a call to service and not a call to amass wealth .

Yoruba religion around the world[edit]
Main article: Yoruba history
According to Professor S. A. Akintoye, the Yoruba were exquisite statesmen who spread across the globe in an unprecedented fashion;[11] the reach of their culture is largely due to migration—the most recent migration occurred with the Atlantic slave trade. During this period, many Yoruba were captured and sold into the slave trade and transported to Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela, and other parts of the Americas. With them, they carried their religious beliefs. The school-of-thought integrated into what now constitutes the core of the "New World lineages":[11][12][13][14]

Cuba: Yoruba Culture in the Caribbean

The presence in Cuba of African slaves, who were brought by force by the Spanish conquistadors, a phenomenon that was justified at the time by the need for cheap labor force, also marked the beginning of religious traditions brought to the Caribbean Island by members of the Yoruba tribe.

Uprooted from their motherland, the Yoruba slaves made major contributions to the formation of Cuban society. Their contributions can be found today in the religious syncretism present in Cuban and Caribbean cultures.

The Yoruba religion is based on believing in a supreme being through natural elements, and believers must follow a series of commandments.

Known in the Yoruba culture as the 16 laws of Ifá, their origin is attributed to the pronouncements of Orunmila, the orisha of wisdom and divinations.

The laws of Ifá state that one cannot say what he/she does not know, must avoid unknown rites, refrain from leading others on a false paths, be humble, keep the sacred instruments clean, and respect the weaker and moral laws.

The other commandments state not to betray a friend, to respect hierarchies and the elderly, not to reveal secrets, and not to pretend to be wise when you are not.

Attributes of Orishas.
That way, the orishas – the gods of the Yoruba religion – have been worshipped in Cuba for nearly five centuries. They are represented with human characteristics and their difference lies in the colors they wear, music, animals that represent them, and preferences for certain food and drinks.

The so-called Ocha Rule, popularly known as Santeria, derived from the Yoruba culture. Santeria followers worship a group of orishas (deities) characterized by different myths and attributes.

The Santeria rites are controlled by priests known as babalawos, who are consulted periodically for advice on specific situations, the cure for diseases or protection.

One of the events that attract most attention is the so-called Letter of the Year, which is revealed by the most eminent babalawos after a religious ceremony.

The babalawos invoke the Oracle of Ifá to know the recommendations that must be followed to prevent and overcome the obstacles and difficulties predicted for the year.

In Cuba, the African slaves identified their deities with Catholic saints, and that, according to experts, marked the origin of Santeria.

For Santeria followers, each person's life is supervised by a specific saint, who plays an active role in that process, which combines Catholic and African beliefs.

Under those precepts, the orishas present human beings with a vision of the past, the present and the future, in addition to helping them to solve everyday problems.

Generations of descendants from the first African slaves who arrived in Cuba have kept alive the Yoruba religion, which is also acknowledged by foreign visitors as a characteristic element in the Caribbean Island.

If this case is handled well it will help in fighting the insurgency . I think our government can leverage on this and use it as an avenue to dissuade people from volunteering themselves as mules or suicide bombers.

This girl and her family should be rehabilitated, empowered by assisting the family in setting up a business/trade or financing their farming activities and possibly relocated elsewhere to a place of their choice and if possible given a financial reward .

With incentives like this many people like her will renege their decision at the point of detonating the bomb or involving themselves in suicide bombing and the Boko Haram sect too will find it hard getting committed and die hard suicide bombers .

11 + 3! + 13 =30

9 + 3! + 15 =30

The use of factorial (!) is the trick. Otherwise, there's no other way to add three odd numbers and get an even number.

Note that 3! = 3X2X1 = 6

From what I can deduce from most comments here, many Nigerians are very quick at passing comments without analysing their thoughts first .

I am very sure 90% of the people that have left comment(s) here did not bother to read what was reported that Prof Soludo said .

The word 'copy' here is a wrong word . Soludo was not saying that the new administration copied Jonathan's govt budget , rather he was only saying that - it was more of the same to the previous ones in terms of implementation and not its wordings.

“The present budget is more of the same to the previous ones. Mr. Vice President [Prof. Yemi Osinbajo], If you scale your budget on the scale of GDP, it is almost the same with the previous government.

“It has a historic 37% deficit as we never had it before. The truth is that you are borrowing 37% with only 30 per cent on capital project,” Prof. Soludo stressed.

Please let us learn to do more of reading, analysing and thinking before passing comments especially in a public forum like this .

A sheep–goat hybrid (sometimes called a geep or shoat in popular media) is the hybrid offspring of a sheep and a goat. Although sheep and goats seem similar and can be mated, they belong to different genera in the subfamily Caprinae of the family Bovidae. Sheep belong to the genus Ovis and have 54 chromosomes, while goats belong to the genus Capra and have 60 chromosomes. The offspring of a sheep-goat pairing is generally stillborn. Despite widespread shared pasturing of goats and sheep, hybrids are very rare, indicating the genetic distance between the two species. Though sometimes called "geep",[1] they are not to be confused with goat-sheep chimerae, which are artificially created.

MRBrownJ:
it all depends on who you are asking.... but the minimum wage wasnt much back in 1975:

It is glaring from the graph you posted that Minimum wage in Nigeria has not grown with inflation or consumer price index . An average Nigerian worker has been left worse off and to make up for the shortfall they fall back on corrupt practices to make ends meet . I am not really an advocate for sharp increase in minimum wage because every previous attempt tends to exacerbate inflation rate .Cheap labour is actually an impetus for mass production ,investment and foreign direct investments . However government would have to improve socio economic infrastructures like motorable roads, rail, electricity, modern agro allied industries, better health care services at all levels and sustainable and basic education across board. With these things in place the citizenry will be able to live a contented life .

As at 1975 ...N1.00 = $1.62 or put another way $0.616 = N1
Which implies that N5000 in 1975 was about $8116.88
Fastforward to 2015 $8116.88 IN 1975 has a real value of $35,807.21 that's about 341.1% cumulative inflation rate .

Hence, that N5000 is equivalent to about N7,123,840 now . so if some people could afford N5000 worth of a car then , how many Nigerians can afford a car costing about N7M now . This goes to show that our purchasing power has really being bastardised and labour and economic units are not being fairly remunerated .

In real terms our economy has really gone down the drains

Its very wrong adding armed Robbery as a job in the list . There are some issues you just dont make jokes of ..please the administrator or the original poster should do the needful and remove it from the list . Its more like telling someone that you can pick Armed robbery or Terrorism as a job but that you should be mindful that its very dangerous . This is anti-moral,will promote social decadence and unethical please.

Why would you force and put fear and terror into people to accept your ideologies , even if you achieved it by force it wont stand the Test of time .

They lived very long considering the have progeria. RIP

Progeria (pronunciation: /proʊˈdʒɪəriə/ is an extremely rare genetic disorder wherein symptoms resembling aspects of aging are manifested at a very early age.Progeria is one of several progeroid syndromes. The word progeria comes from the Greek words "pro" (πρό), meaning "before" or "premature", and "gēras" (γῆρας), meaning "old age".The disorder has a very low incidence rate, occurring in an estimated 1 per 8 million live births. Those born with progeria typically live to their mid teens to early twenties. It is a genetic condition that occurs as a new mutation, and is rarely inherited, as carriers usually do not live to reproduce. Although the term progeria applies strictly speaking to all diseases characterized by premature aging symptoms, and is often used as such, it is often applied specifically in reference to Hutchinson–Gilford progeria syndrome (HGPS).
Scientists are particularly interested in progeria because it might reveal clues about the normal process of aging. Progeria was first described in 1886 by Jonathan Hutchinson. It was also described independently in 1897 by Hastings Gilford. The condition was later named Hutchinson–Gilford progeria syndrome.

Children with progeria usually develop the first symptoms during their first few months of life. The earliest symptoms may include a failure to thrive and a localized scleroderma-like skin condition. As a child ages past infancy, additional conditions become apparent usually around 18–24 months. Limited growth, full-body alopecia (hair loss), and a distinctive appearance (a small face with a shallow recessed jaw, and a pinched nose) are all characteristics of progeria. Signs and symptoms of this progressive disease tend to become more marked as the child ages. Later, the condition causes wrinkled skin, atherosclerosis, kidney failure, loss of eyesight, and cardiovascular problems. Scleroderma, a hardening and tightening of the skin on trunk and extremities of the body, is prevalent. People diagnosed with this disorder usually have small, fragile bodies, like those of elderly people. The face is usually wrinkled, with a larger head in relation to the body, a narrow face and a beak nose. Prominent scalp veins are noticeable (made more obvious by alopecia), as well as prominent eyes. Musculoskeletal degeneration causes loss of body fat and muscle, stiff joints, hip dislocations, and other symptoms generally absent in the non-elderly population. Individuals usually retain normal mental and motor development

The rate quoted in loan and deposit agreements by banks is called Nominal interest rate which is as stated below

nominal rate = real interest rate + inflation rate

Its the inflation rate in the country that actually determines what the nominal rate of interest will be . as long as the inflation rate is not below 3% no bank that is into business to make profit will pay an interest rate or return on an Investment (ROI) that will be below or at par with the current rate of inflation .
