Bros u get energy ohh, I no fit lie 4 you because to explain to person wey believe say 1+1=11 say 1+1=2, no be small energy ohh. Hmmm...... Dey like na fried plantains and beans u chop dis evening. See, when the immigrant whites were exterminating the native Indian population in colonial USA, they knew the native Indians were savages and very dangerous but above all, their greatest fear were the half breeds or mullatos, white/Indian who were far more deadly and dangerous. Moral of the story, its far better to engage with a stark illiterate than a semi illiterate and when it comes to literacy, none is better than half bread. Imagine correcting someone who learnt English language from NollywoodTV. Got it? Blazetrailer: |
If you are the owner of a shop in that market and you are not dealing in fake products, you will not be talking like this and if u talk am near person wey get shop wey no di deal in fake products, u go collect slap. The economy is hard enough right now, so how do you expect that person to get his daily bread? What about the loss of rents for those days the shops are closed? I appreciate NAFDAC as fake drugs are silent mass killers in Nigeria but collective punishment is not appropriate and they should be able to expedite such market shutdown to inorder not to penalise the law abiding citizens. I think its the same thing Obi was trying to say There are millions of Nigerians who depend on that market and are also affected by the closure and I am not only talking about the SE. You cannot because Tpain is a failure in government now, then start to say all Yorubas are failures, No, its not appropriate. There are Yorubas who have and can perform like Osinbajo and Adesina. You cannot punish a few/many for the sins of a few/many. MyExpression: |

Which Bello Turji? The same one the CDS said is planning to surrender? Or you mean General Bello Turji, the GOC of the repentant terrorist division of the Nigeria Army? |
After reading through this thread, I think Trump is right that Ukraine started this war. If not, why did Zelensky not follow through with the Minsk 1 and 2 agreements to end this war? The EU which was the guarantor of the agreements failed to tell Zelensky to apply the resolutions of the agreement and after Zelensky failed to apply the resolutions of the agreement, the EU did not condemn him but instead went ahead to arm Ukraine to fight Russia. Who does that? This is the reason Trump kept out the EU from the negotiations with Russia. The EU sef confuse pass Zelensky. Zelensky na Big fool. |
Na because na South you dey, try reach North na there you go complete am with multiple Usman, Uwais, Useni, Umaru, Kasu, Kaka, Karawa, Kyari, Kante, Wangbara, Wurie, then u collect GWR to be presented by Lord Lugard himself. Stop that cowdung you are smoking, you are the real Enemy of Nigeria. If you were smart enough, you would know that there are always pictures when bandits/BH attack the Army. So why do we need to ask again? But when the Army attacks dem, there are never any pictures and you expect sane Nigerians to just accept is as the truth. Same how last year the Nigerian Army told us they struck terrorists gathering at Kurebe in Shiroro LGA in Niger State without any pictures, only for pictures to come out the very next day showing it was civilians they had killed in a village - women and children and the Army later apologised. How many times has this same scenario repeated itself? Where were you when the Nigeria Army was engaging in propaganda and audio killings and damaging their credibility and trustworthiness. Where were you? Or u think say na today e start. Like it or not, na audio killing. You and the Nigerian Army have no evidence so u go explain tire, believe whatever rocks ur boat, that's ur cup of horseshit but you can't tell me what to believe or not. I no blame you, you are one of those cornfused Nigerians on 30k, tell ur masters to alteast give u minimum wage cuz data don cost. wellmax: |

The day u break into "your" house without a bailiff, na that day you go see sworn affidavit say 1 market bag full of Diamonds been dey inside that house. Dem go value the diamonds and your 7 years rent and you pay the tenant the difference. BTW, na inside cell u go dey in the meantime trying to get court bail, while the tenant go dey free as the owner of "your" house since u no go fit be able to pay the diamonds. Be wise b4 taking the law into your hands. Many people have lost good cases not because they were wrong but because of the manner they handled the case. Namaster: |

So, if the product is not branded, it is not selling? This is why I said you are clutching at straws, you are asking me up here about branding but below you are talking about packaging. Does your packaging not include branding? If it does, u have ur answer for the above question. The demand for kulikuli is being met too! If you know how much some people are making from packaging kulikuli! You will be surprised! The groundnut oil producers are not "modern" factories, but the producers are making their money! Even the Kulikuli is now being exported! You are a google entrepreneur and know absolutely zero abt exports and patronising ebooks on "export of kulikuli to usa/europe"will lead you nowhere, dem don scam you be that. You will surely buy "hyaline oxide" one day. The groundnut oil producers you mentioned above who are making their money is your brain pulling a fast one on you, anybody producing groundnut oil in Nigeria is a poor person, I mean very poor person, go and verify. You think if the business was profitable, no one could build a modern factory with it and put a brand name on a groundnut oil product? Go to the market in your area and just demand that you want 100 litres of groundnut oil and tell me if you will get it. But if you want a million litres of palm oil the same day, they will provide for you. If you know the ease with which you can get 1 litre of groundnut oil from groundnuts and the labour involved to get 1 litre of palm oil, then it would be clear to you that the problem of establishing a modern factory is the unprofitability, even if you like go and plant 1000 hectares of groundnut, if you convert to oil, you will not recover even the initial investment, if you try buying groundnuts to process to oil, na OyO u dey from day one. So, yes, groundnut is much more expensive than vegetable oil but the demand for it is there and people are meeting it! There is zero demand for groundnut oil. I mean absolute zero demand. B4 1 litre of groundnut oil is sold 10,000 litres of palm oil has been sold. That demand you are talking about, na for your mind e dey. Groundnut oil is a cultural thing belonging to the North, you can accept or deny it. All Southern soups are based on palm oil and not groundnut oil. A southerner like you should be not be talking abt groundnuts, it's not in your culture. A southerner talking abt groundnuts is like a Northerner cooking onubu soup or ewedu. mfm04622: |

Just take that money go place 2 5 odds because groundnut oil business go tear hole for ya pocket and if you try import or produce any machine for groundnut oil production, after donkey tears of storage, na for aboki iron condemn u go still sell am. If you think I am discouraging you, go on but it's wiser to learn from the mistakes of a million others than to write an exam before taking lectures. Anything oil, go for Palm oil na there the real oil money dey. richiemcgold: |
You are one who is clutching at straws. Business profitable ko, kulikuli in the market ni. OP, come and see response to your question of whether it's profitable or not. Online profitability. @mfm04622, could u answer the following? What is the brand name of the groundnut oil you are talking about? the manufacturer in Nigeria of the groundnut oil ? since you say its very profitable. The richest persons in Nigeria from the 40's were dealing in groundnuts and history will tell you that groundnuts was the backbone of the British Northern Nigeria economy before the discovery of crude oil. Even your SE hero Sir Ojukwu made his money from ground business in the North. The North owns groundnut production in Nigeria. Despite all this, have you asked yourself why there exists no Northern company producing groundnut oil, meanwhile groundnut is the most farmed crop after corn, sorghum, millet? Groundnut oil or any seed/nut oil production in Nigeria apart from palm oil is not profitable, take it or leave it. Anybody who makes kulikuli will do it out of their culture and tradition but the fact remains that processing groundnut into anything is not profitable. Northern traditional meals are produced with groundnut oil and not palm oil. So for a Northerner to get this oil to cook with, they produce kulikuli as a byproduct of the residue of the groundnut after pressing out the oil. This is the only reason why you have kulikuli. U don ever see Obiageli dey make kulikuli for Owerri or Ekaete for Calabar neither will you find Iya basira of Iragbiji dey make kulikuli for sale. Kulikuli na Hausa language, don't say what u don't know!!!! mfm04622: |

Like if you believe that arms were unaccounted for but not missing. Share if you believe that arms were unaccounted for but missing. For context, we are talking about 178,459 firearms, including 88,078 AK-47 rifles. |
The government especially the Ministry of Defence is to blame here. As we all know, there are 2 passports, ordinary and diplomatic. Ordinary requires visa but diplomatic does not require a visa. The CDS is supposed to have a diplomatic passport as in other countries. How a whole CDS go get ordinary passport and has to apply for a visa, meanwhile ordinary consular clerks in our embassies have diplomatic passports. Even a common military attache in a Nigerian embassy who is a subordinate to the CDS has a diplomatic passport. How a whole CDS go need to apply for visa? Who does that? |
Very profitable ko? I am sure you have never eaten Groundnut oil in your life. I mean oil which is pressed from groundnuts. If you have, tell me the brand name and the manufacturer in Nigeria since you say its very profitable. All those half truths you are saying abt vegetable oil, there is no oil called vegetable oil even groundnut oil is vegetable oil. When you read vegetable oil knowsay na Palm Oil. Palm nuts will yield more oil per hectare than groundnut and if people are complaining that Palm oil is expensive, how many people can buy 1 litre of groundnut oil, I repeat when I say groundnut oil I mean oil that is pressed from groundnuts. Do you know how many kg of groundnuts will give 1 litre of oil? Do you know price of groundnut per kg? FYI, 1 litre of groundnut oil produced locally in the North is around 8-10k. How many people fit afford am inside dis economy? Conclusion: It's better to sell your groundnuts than to lose investment by processing groundnuts to oil, even including the sale of the residue cake. ebukason3: |
OP, na wa for you ohh? How do you expect Palm Oil to be cheap in the North? Palm Oil in the North is only consumed by non-indigenes, there is no Northen traditional meal cooked with Palm oil because Palm oil is not indigenous to the North. That said, the people who consume Palm Oil in the North are mostly people from Middle belt and Southerners as it is those regions where Palm oil is produced. Palm Oil in the North is expensive because it faces the same transport, security and extortion issues causing Northern products to be expensive when it arrives in the South. |
