Cos most ask if u know this softwares.
No, I have used neither. However, they are very commonly used ERPs.

That should not be a deal breaker in most cases.

Ideally, when you have experience using any widely respected ERP, they believe you can quickly and easily catch up on how to use a different one. You may draw their attentionnto this, if they havent considered this.

What do you think about MSc in Artificial Intelligence
Would you advice one to go on with the course.
What drives visa sponsorship is more often how skilled employers perceive you to be. The course you had your masters in ia often not the driving factor.

So you'll find a lot of nigerians who did their masters in a field many consider very strong in the labour market but due to the perceived lack of experience or weak experience, they couldnt break into their preferred sector and instead went into the care where experience is often not required for the job and sponsorship.

Also take note the skilled worker visa implies you have certain skill, which is what the homeoffice scrutinises when they issue the SW visa. An employer is unlikely to offer you a sponsored job when you have no experience or skill in that sector.

For instance, I am sponsored in a niche sector of financial services as a finance professional. Not many immigrants get sponsored here, because the UK has a lot of labour and expertise in this area and it is not an occupation short on candidates.

However, I was quite fortunate to have worked on certain projects while in Nigeria that was very close to projects my employer was embarking on back then. So, they were keen on having me on board. Note, I have no degree in accountancy or any related finance field - neither from the UK ot Nigeria.

So, I'll advise you to focus on a masters that complements your sellable experience or skill.

As the salary threshold keeps rising, so also will exployers expect more in terms of the skills or experience candidates seeking to be sponsored should bring to the table.

Please don’t pass the wrong information…you can still get a care worker role with your graduate visa…also “care worker visa” would still be open for skilled worker visa just that it will be time-bound.

How/Why is Daarcomm on full bid?

Since I have ever known the stock exchange Daar has been making losses and only managed to avoid negative equity by revaluing their assets.

Nice one bro!! Please how will these laws affect dependent ( for those going from Mres and dependent)?
It depends on the specific provision.

Generally, the provisions typically affects dependant only to the extend they are seeking a skill worker visa. If they are dependant on the other applicant's visa, they are not usually affected.

You dont know anything - I know someone who spent 7 years on trial for theft. Even without being found guilty, they wasted 7 years of his life and were only released based on the intervention of someone influential.

Chief thank you for the understanding and recognising I wasn't attacking you for updating us. I was just wondering if there's any good thing again left in the UK, as all I've been seeing lately is one sad news to another here. I'm certain some people over there still had ways they made or gained something tangible for themselves, as there will always be good and bad news as long as we live on earth.

A mixture of both would help alot of people come to a reasonable conclusion on which path to follow.

God will see us all through ✌️
There’s a lot of good in the UK — if you can find your feet in the labour market.
Forget the stories people post about the UK being all about bills and struggle. Yes, the cost of living is real, but with a good job and some discipline, you can achieve a lot here.

People actually buy houses (yes, on mortgage) within just two years — there’s even a mortgage thread on Nairaland that proves this. If I decided to focus purely on saving, I could probably buy a decent house in Lagos with just a year or two’s savings from here.

What’s worth noting, though, is that the UK job market isn’t as buoyant as it was just a short while ago.
Even more concerning is the government's clear agenda: a sharp reduction in net migration.

They’re not necessarily targeting student visas themselves — they understand and value the revenue international students bring into the economy. But the real strategy lies in what comes after the degree.

Instead of reducing student numbers, they’re making it significantly harder for students to stay and transition into work or residency. New policies are being designed to place serious hurdles in the path of those hoping to remain after their studies.

In essence: “Come, study, spend — but don’t expect to stay.”

Another thing to keep in mind is that it now costs at least twice as much — if not more — to move to the UK compared to just 3 or 4 years ago.
But despite the higher cost associated with the move now, the chances of settling in successfully have dropped due to stricter immigration policies and the current economic and political climate.

In short: higher investment, lower certainty. That’s the reality for many trying to move now.

For example, this week. The government announces its intention to raise the minimum skilled worker pay from 38K to £41K. That additional 3K would be the reason some job opportunities would go off the table for migrants seeking job sponsorship. To put this in perspective, median pay in the UK is just about £31K. Such moves have real implications for migrants seeking sponsored jobs.

& more hurdles are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The bottom line is that there are still positives in the UK, but access to assessing them is now restricted.

Just keep quiet if you don’t have something nice to say to people that have paid school fee and willing to leave home and try new things abroad .

Is it hard? Yes .
Are people working it out even with the new rules ? Yes .

In as much as the immigration rules is strict there is still much chance to survive here than in Nigeria .

Stop putting panic on people minds let everyone do what works for them and leave this depression and sad stories alone .

As it stands today I’m sure you aren’t willing to go back to Nigeria ,let them take the risk ..share good news about people that have done it and be able to settle and not just panic and sad stories

It’s hard enough relocating and hearing people that live there that won’t come back home saying bad things about it is not the motivation this people need when they get in .

For myself I don’t get it easy ,I know how many weeks I spend for hotel before I was able to get one crazy apartment ,crazy impromptu agency shift and all join with sch classes and assignments. It’s not easy .

It get better the more you live and understand how the system works . If someone as already paid over 6k£ in deposit or over 20m in relocation I can bet they know what’s at risk and negative news is the least of the things they want to hear .

Have a great evening brother .
The truth is, opportunities are thinner on the ground right now—and that’s not fearmongering, it’s backed by the data. It's important we give people the heads-up. Better to be prepared than blindsided.

Jackson is not bad for a sub. He has energy, he is brave on the attack and there is room for improvement.

Did you see him play for senegal against England?

This very short term view was what made chelsea lose out on the prime form of players like de bruyne and Mo Sallah

The players are fairly young, give them time to grow

Nigeria cant be 3rd.

Egypt, Algeria, South Africa, Morocco definitely rank above Nigeria.

Nigeria just has a large land army albeit very poorly equipped and trained

Chai, most of you dont even know Nigeria has air defense systems in place,we even have missile launchers.

Keep underrating your country, the only reason they can't defeat terrorists is tribalism.
Nigeria does not have the radar network and coverage required to support missile based air defence systems.

Our AD systems are primarily gun based ones like Shilka. Would only work for low flyingg objects within the visual range of the operator

Since the war between Iran and Israel broke out, I have been hearing of how air defense system were able to intercept missiles fired by the other countries. The question that came into my mind was does Nigeria possess such mechanism in case of any eventuality?
Nigerian air defence system are typically short range gun-based defence system like the shilka.

To optimally use a missile-based defence system, you need very good radar networks/coverage as missile based systems work beyond visual range and rely extensively on the radar network to hit its target.

Also, Nigeria lacks the skilled technicians required to maintain such complex systems.

Iranians have been crossing the English channel in their tens of thousands since Covid. It's not a new phenomenon.

Thankfully I don't live anywhere near Dover, Clacton or any of the areas earmarked to house irregular migrants.

Also, Labour is proposing moving them out of hotels and into rental accommodation paid for by the government.
This makes little sense, but at this point , Labour is scraping the bottom of the barrel to find "results".

I expect they will up their rhetoric against legal migrants to compensate for the worsening illegal migration numbers as the election approaches.

The worst thing Starmar did was scrap the Rwanda plan without having something concrete on the ground as a deterrence.

Reform has taken control of several councils in England. They've got the platform, the power, and the purse strings (at least locally). If they genuinely have better solutions to housing shortages, council tax burdens, or social care challenges, now’s their chance to prove it.

I expect the other parties to continually signpost the wider public to on-reform councils to demonstrate how radically better they are.

How can mossad hqtrs be bombed yet no single casualties, the same hqtrs used for command and control.
grin dont think mossad would be that daft to stay in their official office during a war in which the feature prominently and have been the spear-tip of Israel's assault.

Its israel's leadership in electronic and human intelligence gathering that makes it possible to carry out such precise assasinations. Iran likely lacks the ability to match israel in this field

Wales may not offer you the best work opportunities, although it may be more affordable to live and work there.

Living cost is low but so are wages. So, getting a job that pays the minimum going rate for a skilled worker visa is trickier to get there, and when you find such jobs, you will find many locals competing for it, because such wage would look competitive for them.

Also, with the proposed changes to immigration, the "care visa route" would no longer by available to those on graduate visas.
