Christianity Etc › Re: 4 Reasons I'm Considering Becoming An Atheist by FredasMumAndI: 1:27pm On Dec 30, 2019 |
englishmart: 1.Jesus is the only way to God, John 14:6 This invariably means those who don't believe in Jesus have no business in heaven. Christians worldwide have an estimated population of 2.4billion people Islam records an estimate of 1.9 billion adherents, Hindu has an estimated 1.1bn adherents. The remaining world's population have their own beliefs which includes atheism. If Jesus is the only way to God, what happens to those who don't believe in him? Hell? Well, the Bible suggests so.
2. There are a lot of complications and contradictory remarks in the Bible- a verse says don't drink, another says "Drink for your stomach sake", or "Do not drink wherein excess." Malachi 3:10 a famous Bible verse on tithing speaks about bringing your tithe to the storehouse (church, maybe) Deuteronomy 14:22-26 says otherwise, it says "you should drink and be merry with your tithe". I'm seriously beginning to doubt the credibility of the Bible. Maybe the translators' fault or God told writers different stories on the same issue. Read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John's account of Jesus and see real contradictions.
3. Does God answer prayers? Well, I'm not really sure about that. Someone might be suffering from malaria, the person takes drugs and still prays, the drugs work, but the person thanks God. Or a successful surgical operation, instead of thanking the doctor, they thank God. Some illnesses that would have been treated led to deaths because a certain congregation who were supposed to take the ill persons to the hospital, circled around praying. Faith without work isn't it still dead? I remember when I had stomach ulcer, it was really terrible, I prayed and made several promises to God that if He took away the ulcer, I'd drink no more alcohol and will be more devout in worshipping Him. That didn't solve anything though, I stopped drinking and took to taking my drugs more seriously. Weeks later, I was well. I returned to drinking and after a few months, the ulcer resurfaced. That was when I realized I really needed to quit drinking. Prayers wouldn't have solved that issue. I spent 80% of 2019 at home because of my misgivings about God's existence. I really wish I could be convinced about God's existence because I'm not even happy to be away from Church because of the views of friends and family.
4. Children of God, or so called children of God tend to suffer more tribulations, hard times and desperate moments, a lot of them scream "Vanity upon Vanity" when secular people live in luxury or spend extravagantly. God tends to turn his back on those who worship Him especially when they need Him most. The 1933 Holocaust and mass murder of Jews to the tone of 6m was a clear indication that God turns His eyes against His people Repulsive comments are highly welcome Goodluck on your choice. I don't know what you want internet people to do for you. |

Christianity Etc › Re: What's Your Most Embarrassing Moment In Church? Share Your Experience. by FredasMumAndI: 3:59pm On Oct 27, 2019 |
I went for a popular pastors church program. It was evening and the whole congregation would go gaga once the pastor just says any word. Everyone was seated on plastic chairs, but you know some people with their yeye will still be standing and screaming when no one asked them to. I sat down because I didnt understand the fuss. Some lady beside me stood up, adjusted her short skirt, and started jumping, screaming "Yes Pastor". But she lost her footing seconds later and fell all over the plastic chairs, all over me, infact scatter scatter. Na so I fall yakata. I struggled to get back to my feet, but the girl lay there, trying to pretend that it was holy spirit. Indeed. |

Where are our food safety standards? People cook with shea butter please!! . Are our airports that ill-equipped? . https://www.instagram.com/p/B2wGxhtlZTJ/?igshid=f7hf3vt4mgi6

This is a phase. Trust me, when you are closer to 30 than 20, most of what you have said here will be history. It takes a while to find yourself, and doing something tangible with your life is part of the process. Set small goals, and achieve them. You're in school. Find some time to pick up a skill, or start a small business that earns you reward/income. Or look for a small job. It mustn't pay your bills in full. But you will earn something. Working and earning money will give you a sense of achievement. Gradually you will move on to bigger things. |
Family › Re: Should A Wife Submit Her Salary? by FredasMumAndI: 4:25pm On Aug 31, 2019 |
jarmy: Good day House.
Please, I need the response of only married couples.
Also, kindly indicate your sex.
My wife and I have been married for about 10 years now. We are blessed with two kids. During courtship, we agreed that we will have a joint budget which will be funded by the income of both of us.
Initially, I was the only one working, with take-home pay of 40k. She then got a job of about 36k. back then, she would withdraw her salary and hand it over to me. What I usually do is to hand it over to her and ask her to use it for feeding while I take care of all other expenses with my salary.
My salary is now about 95k and her's 65k. Our children's school fees, house rent, feeding etc have all increase, no thanks to the current economic realities!
My wife stopped handing over are salary and insisted that I should be giving her feeding money. I clearly explained to her that my income can not accommodate feeding, for now, explaining clearly how I spend my salary and other income but she still insisted that I should be giving her feeding money
The thing is she is into so many saving schemes, without my approval. She just wants to save money! She is insecure and doesn't trust me. She wants her own stuff: her own car, her own house, etc.
I have never cheated on her, I pay the rents, school fees, paid for her post-graduate programme, buy foodstuffs occasionally etc.
What should I do? The biggest cost of all is feeding. To feed 4 mouths on that salary is no easy thing. Rent is probably paid once a year. School fees is paid once in a term. Food is eaten everyday!! It is expensive and gulping down all the 65k. Take some money out of your salary and give to her monthly to support the running of the home. |

FredasMumAndI: Thanks. Someone called me from the CAC office, apparently to help since i was getting many queries. The challenge is that the documents I'm uploading here to resolve the queries are not immediately being seen at their end. So each time I resolve a query, it shows them that I am not doing it right. I'm at my wits end because I need to close this out this week. I have deleted all the documents and re-uploaded them. I don't know if that will help. Finally Approved. Thanks everyone. I learnt a lot here. |

DeConsultant: As long as you have made payment for the registration, you do not have to worry about the approval note been expired or not. Go to your Name Reservation section on your portal and download the expired approval note and upload it. That is the straightforward solution. Thanks. Belkid01: Good Day Sir/Ma... Please I reserved a business name on the 17th of March 2019, after which I paid the sum of Five thousand naira (N5000) as filling fees. I had hope to complete the registration process yesterday but I noticed my name reservation had expired two days ago i.e. 18th may 2019.
My question is, if I were to reserve another name do I have to pay another filling fee. Many thanks in anticipation to your quick response. Hi, How did you resolve this? My name reservation expired before I could complete the registration process. My application got queried, but I cannot upload the document because the availability code expired. |

Though it is above 60 days now due to the delay in dealing my request. What do I do now, since I have paid for registration and gone beyond that point? |
