Convert to the Religion of your ancestors.
That's even more vague and mysterious than christianity. I'll pass |
Thanks to y'all. I just had a divine encounter and I guess I'll just have to believe the bible, whether I understand it or not. |
Pastor Kun: Why are you giving Ola credit for an article he plagiarisedThat's so true. Some of his teachings are directly from kenneth hagin. |
This forum has opened my eyes to some discrepancies in the bible. How do I convert to atheism? |
Why exactly is everyone advising her to leave the guy? Only an insane man will be beating his girlfriend for no reason. Instead of asking her to change her behaviour, you're advising her to leave the guy. Smh |
moshoodn:Sorry I meant colossians2:16. |
autchman144: olodo. Colossians hav only 4 chaptersSorry I meant colossians2:16. |
Felixadded: Colossians 1-4 chapters. Nothing like chapter 5.Sorry I meant colossians2:16. |
Why can't you mind you own business, were you there? |
Yes |
I'll do it in the church, after a sunday's service. |
I agree to disagree with you, I have a female friend who happens to be a muslim, she doesn't go to church but she knows the bible more than myself, or so I say. The church is not the only place one can learn the word of God, Christian religion studies is taught in primary, secondary school and also in the university. Even a babalawo who had not been into the four-walls of a church can quote the bible more then some pastors.
Christianity is not all about cramming scriptures. The bible said "the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life". Being able to quote scriptures, is different from understanding them. If your muslim friend truelly understands the bible, then she would have converted to christianity. Fellowshipping with other believers helps to strengthen your faith and help you grow spiritually. It also gives you the opportunity to work in the vineyard of God. |
Ranchhoddas: i guess your ancestors are already in hell too. ..or were they christians?Worry about yourself. Do you think they are automatically in heaven? |
Hahaha, hell fire go full be that. Even some hypocritical Christians go join for hell fire. Heaven's population would be Jesus, his father, a few Christians and some angels. Why God come even bother to create so many people?
So you think hell fire won't be full? Or do you think all christians will go to heaven? |
shinechinedu: dude can you stop it already!!!! Ur claims lack logic! It is ur very type that believes that Muslims, bhudists etc are going to hell because they are not Christians! When you want to talk, u talk like a good philosopher and back it up with reasons! I won't be surprised if sometime in the future u are ordained pastor! And then u start blabbing out all these nonsense to ur congregationSo where are muslims and bhudists going to if they are not going to hell? Or are you saying the spiritual world does not exist. |
I cannot categorically say if I believe those tales or not but know that those things happened many years ago when science and technology were not present to prove evidence. The bible recorded that Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fishes, the same bible recorded the aforementioned, and if you believe the formal then you have to choice but to also believe the latter. Some people said it wasen't a fish that swallowed Jonah but a whale, but either way it could be that the event never happened. Perhaps, God was using that story as an allegory/imagery to convey a message, same way Jesus told the story of The good samaritan.
Can you now see what I was saying, if you are too far from the church, where you are taught the word of God, various ideologies will start creeping into your life. And before you know what is happening, you are already in hell fire |
So anyone who doesn't go to church will end up in hell fire, is that what you're saying?
Just be careful. |
You are too lazy, I won't tell you. Read your bible from genesis to revelation, you will find it there. |
Read revelation. God is a merciful and loving father(to His children), but there is also the judgemental side of God(to people who reject him) that is against unrighteousness. Read the old testament and even annais and saphira in the new testament, Jesus christ also made reference to hell fire in his teachings. Heaven is real and hell is real. |

No |
Logicboy03: What? And catholics preach the word of Satan??The truth is bitter |
Judge not.
Am not judging you bro. Just warning you. |
No one should give tithe anyway but if there's tithe then it belongs to the G.O. Tithe is generally used for the maintenance of the church and the welfare of the pastors. So if he is a full time pastor and receives monthly salary, then tithe belongs to the G.O otherwise it's for him. |
bravolyk: this is serious I think most churches should look into this girls now mistake church for night clubs very bad.True talk. If it's a new convert then it's excusable(still wrong), but most ladies know exactly what they are doing and the pastors are saying nothing about it. |
Project400: Yes Judgement is to God.Exactly my point, pastors should not support it |
ooman: You are on your way to becoming reasonable. He's on his way to hellfire. |
shinechinedu: now you just displayed how ignorant, brainwashed and silly person that you are!! Is it not thesame pentecostal churches that is ruining Nigeria and the world in generalAm not saying it's wrong to attend catholic, it's just too risky for a baby christian. Pentecostal churches teach the word of God, which is necessary for a young christian. |
Since there's a forum for muslims, why can't there also be a forum exclusively for christians? I actually wanted to post this in the religion forum, so I'll appreciate it if the moderators can move it there. |
@OP. Do you honestly expect every worker in the church to be perfect? Don't let other people's actions decide your fellowship with God. Do you think it is easy to serve God in isolation? Do you understand everything in the bible? God does not call people into ministry(pastors, prophets, apostle, teacher and evangelist) just for the fun of it. They are there to help you develop your faith. Btw attend a pentecostal church not white garments, JW and orthodox churches |
FreeGlobe: This is exactly me. I believe in God, heaven, hell but I don't believe in today's churches. pastors don't practice what they preach and church doctrines are only the views of the pastor or how he understands the Bible whether right or wrongDon't throw away the baby with the bath water. True, going to church is not a prerequisite for making heaven but it makes it easier and there is the corporate anointing. |
Abortion is not a sin in extreme conditions. God is not totally against killing, the same God that said "thou shalt not kill" said if a child curses his parents he should be "stoned to death". It's better to abort a child than make him suffer, you will regret you gave birth to him and the child will also regret being alive(or do you think somebody that is handicapped from birth is happy with his/her existence?) |
Just the same way pastor chris plagiarises kenneth hagin's books.
