Adekdammy: Why is Ambode running from pillar to post, if your first tenure is good, your popularity should win you the primaries and if your party is saying no 2nd term for you, port to another camp and leverage on your good works but unfortunately you have none.
The people will remember how u turned lagos to a dirty state with your visionless scape
The people will remember how you suddenly increased land use charge
How u started several projects without completion in sight.
Lagos roads are so terrible that we spend valuable time in traffic
Your lack the grass root touch of governance. Roads in Lagos have never been more terrible than they are now. Even expressways have gullies, and their service lanes are even more terrible. Ikeja is a glorified state capital. |

Whatever this talk is all about, can Governor Ambode explain why roads in several parts of Lagos are fast deteriorating, including within the State capital Ikeja? Why is Allen avenue, the most popular street in Nigeria riddled with pot holes, just like the adjoining Toyin and often flooded Opebi axis? Ikeja, asides Alausa remains uglier than Surulere, which Fashola beautified. Correct me if I am wrong. |

Whilst the President of Ghana told the German leader to grant his countrymen immigrant visas ours asked that they be deported. What a disappointing stance. Even the German delegation must have been shocked. Given Germany's stance towards immigration, they would have considered a request similar to the one the Ghanaian President had made, esp as they need Nigeria's assistance somehow anyway. |

Yes,foreign journalists carry out hatchet jobs as well if the price is right. The way all this respected foreign leaders keep fraternising with Bubu speak volume about how much they respect him. Although, that doesnt mean his administration is improving the lives of common Nigerians and I am still not voting him even if he invites Fela from the grave. The two world leaders that recently visited Nigeria visited other African countries same time, so it is not a case of wanting to fraternise with Buhari. It is normal for heads of states to visit countries from which they wish to earn benefits :it is not about respecting the person leading those countries. Just to make it clear. |

For inexplicable reasons Iwobi was left out of our crucial game against Argentina, just as he was left out of the Iceland game. Could it be because his Uncle Jay Jay Okocha (On Supersport) criticised the wrong way he was used against Croatia? Well, this is my personal opinion and could be wrong. For me, Iwobi would have held our midfield when we so badly needed to keep the ball against the Argentines. But we live to fight another day. |

Is it only Nigeria that lost their opening match
Argentina draw still do you guys hear or see their citizens criticise them on social media.
Morocco Egypt they all lost their opening games.
Brazil draw still yet not criticism, Peru lost do you hear any criticisms.
Very big NO
So why is Nigeria case different
In every match there will be a winner and a loser not because Nigeria berated una expectations down shouldn't give you guys the audacity to criticise them.
Everyday we need a good leaders but we haven't changed the way we react or show our stupidity on social media.
Jim Beglin and John Dumelo and so many others criticise us because we provided the opportunity for them to do so.
Nigerians are reacting the way they are because they know we could have done far better had we done the right things. Clearly, we threw away an opportunity to win a match in which our opponents gave us a lot more respect than we deserved. |

The coach Rohr has shown his true colours: He distances himself from the team, speaks German to English speaking press when he can speak almost flawless English. Does not stand up to motivate the boys or make corrections during the game. Fields a questionable selection. Leaves out Ebuehi, brings on a Musa in place of Iwobi. Deploys a strategy of lone striker which woefully failed him during our friendlies. Plays a formation that plays at least, two of our boys out of position. Refuses to change his formation and strategy while the game wore on, and loss staring us in the face. |

In the first place, we should stop lying about the age of our goalkeeper! He is not 19! He's closer to 30 than 20. Then our coach should shun pride by speaking English when he's asked questions in English instead of resorting to German. In summary, Nigeria should be real. We should be serious! We're currently fooling around: no game plan, no discipline, no commitment. Without these qualities you can never get results! Watch the tapes of the '94 Eagles, and come back here. |

Politics › Re: Festus Keyamo :I don’t believe NBS figures, Nigerians are becoming richer by fredylee: 10:56am On Jun 14, 2018 |
1960ng: Festus Keyamo, senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), does not believe the figures of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on increase in poverty under the current administration President Mohammadu Buhari.
San FestusKeyamo, who is spokesman of the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari, disclosed this in a chat with a Interviewer.
Asked why he thought Buhari deserved re-election in light of reports on growing poverty and the weak economy, Keyamo said, “Where does the National Bureau of Statistics get its figures from? I don’t believe those statistics!”Nigerian are becoming richer under Buhari the NBS are liars.
Statistics from the NBS show that unemployment has been on the increase under Buhari, millions of people lost their jobs from 2015 till date.
According to the bureau, 18.80 percent where unemployed in the third quarter of 2017, compared to the 9.90 percent in the third quarter of 2015.
Keyamo expressed optimism that Buhari would be re-elected in 2019, saying the president will instil a different political culture in the country before he retires and he is better than any Leader Nigeria has seen.
“He (Buhari) needs time to instil that culture different from what we have learnt government is all about,” he said.
Let’s be honest, most young people of our generation grew up to know only the PDP system, which is – and was – only about money.”
The Buhari re-election campaign spokesman said unlike the PDP “whose oxygen is money”, Buhari did not need federal funds to clinch his re-election, saying his supporters would be happy to sell their possessions and go hungry for his re-election.
He said Buhari also needed to consolidate his anti-corruption war and deal a final blow on insecurity, describing insinuations that the president was sponsoring herdsmen as “satanic and idiotic.”
He also spoke on the president’s reference to Nigerian youths as “lazy”; allegations that he abandoned the defendant in the Ozubulu church killings to join Buhari; and what he thought his former mentor and leading human rights lawyer, Gani Fawehimi (SAN), would have done with Buhari’s government.
When asked if he would support full disclosure of the health status of all the candidates in the 2019 campaign, Keyamo said, “I agree that candidates should declare their health status. But if somebody is sick and is well and now discloses that he is well now, fine. He (Buhari) is ready to go; he is fit to go. Abacha was not sick at all, no history; yet he slumped and died.”
He also expressed support for presidential debate and President Buhari will be ready than ever.
https://www.1960ng.com/2018/06/13/i-dont-believe-nbs-figures-says-keyamo-on-growing-poverty-under-buhari/ No, Mr. Keyamo, Abacha was visibly ill several weeks before he died. Check his up-close images on several photographs taken during this period. There were even intense speculations on his suspected ailment during this time. The incident leading to his eventual death was the decisive one. May his soul rest in peace. |

Once Nigeria awarded a contract for the rebuilding of the Lagos-Ibadan-Shagamu-Benin Expressway, for a staggering N306bn. Contract was not executed, and the then minister for Works was not questioned. The lagos-Ota expressway was a death trap littered with gullies, a President who then used the road to his farm, especially on his regular weekend retreats from Abuja, chose to travel by helicopter in order to avoid the road rather than press for its renovation. A serving governor under him, building the now completed overhead bridge at Sango Ota left it in in a total mess, making it a horrendous nightmare for drivers and pedestrians alike, not a whimper in condemnation was heard from this popular leader and social critic. At least, he had his helicopter. Under him a serving Minister of power, Bola Ige was assassinated, and his killers were not found and no serious attempts to bring them to book. Political leaders, Harry Marshall, Dokubo and co were murdered without trace. Governors stole at will, including especially from oil rich states, and were endorsed as godfathers. Planes crashed at will, our airspace was one of the most unsafe in the world! All these and more, and you ask the likes of Eedris Abdulkarim not to talk about it? Our youths lack awareness indeed, and are the major trouble with Nigeria. They would rather beat the route to Canada, and Europe through the deserts and Mediterranean than ask what brought them and their dear country here. When I visit our dear leader from my Abeokuta base with a delegation of concerned middle aged youths soon, I hope he would give us a listening ear, and address some of the concerns I have shared above. In God we will continue to trust. |

The greatest undoing of the USA '94 Eagles was the gang up against Rashidi Yekini, which meant he was isolated and starved of passes from his strike partner Amokachi, and then, George Finidi. We ended up scoring goals from Yekini (inevitably), Finidi, Amokachi, Amuneke: everyone wanted to score and prove that Yekini was not the "messiah" Oliseh stopped giving the telegraphic passes Yekini made hay with as well. Fans would recall how Yekini walked straight to the dressing room when he was substituted against Greece. The guy was frustrated! In the end, Italy easily sent us parking as the house was already divided against itself. May disunity not bedevil this team. |
