Sometimes, people have good intentions but are misinformed about the consequences.

How is this different from rubbing cow feces on a wound in order to heal it.

That is why "educated" people should be at the forefront of discouraging these harmful practices and not defending it.

Sometimes, we cause harm to people we love by the things we do to them.

it's discouraged because the food can go into the wrong track, the child can choke.

We seem to have a different understanding of what it means to defend something.

And this automatically makes every case of pneumonia a result of force feeding?

I think we have all agreed it is not a feeding method to be encouraged, that comment was directed at the poster sounding like the women who employed such method set out to kill their kids.

If you don't know that force feeding a child, is for the sole purpose of getting the child to eat, then you shouldn't be on this thread or even on NL.

Some younger men would tell a woman they are older, in anticipation that, it would make her respect him more or even consider being with him.

Men lie about their age to gain employment too, some will lie if they feel like they are underachieving.

One thing I have noticed is women lie about their age almost all the time. My ex girlfriend lied about her age until I got to find out after spoofing her gmail acct. Till today she doesn't know I discovered she's 3years older than me.

So now, I am more smarter and never ask a girl am dating about her age. Instead I would find out myself by violating her privacy. Because they will always lie or just tell you 'am in my Twenties".

Women do lie about their age but brother, so do men.

Personally, I don't think age should be an important factor in love though, so long as your love interest is legal, then you are good to go.

Well, I don't know how old you are now and what you've achieved, assuming you set goals for yourself using time frame.

You see, there's this need to grow with others, do things while your mates are doing it and believe me my sister, if you are lagging behind then it wouldn't be a surprise to reduce your age, hoping to give yourself more time, the society comes in because they judge you by some yardstick and age is an essential, if not the most important one they use.

So far, I've not reduced my age but who knows tomorrow?

Although, I do think one shouldn't lie to their partner but there are some lies that you just can't take back, especially if they've been there before you met him/her.

My solution for this is, if you see a person you like, no need to ask their age, just love yourselves, with the exception of women who have hit menopause o(incase he wants kids), this way, even if you find out she's older, it wouldn't matter.

Is there not a chance that she might actually be telling the truth about it being an error?

But let's assume she lied, I think you should try to forgive her, this age matter no be really the women fault per se, na society cause am, lying about her age doesn't automatically make her untrustworthy.

Some pple are just unreasonable, why would you say that the lady did wrong? Even with all you reasonableness, you couldn't tell that if he wanted to hurt her, he needn't reveal his identity to do so, how exactly does chatting her up put her in harms way? Did he put up her info on social media? If she was sacred or whatever, all she had do was block him or never respond to him.

Granted, it's unprofessional what the guy did but for crying out loud, we are all human and can fall here or there, if anything, matters concerning attraction/heart are where people are most irrational, so the guy's offense can easily be understood or overlooked, who amongst us would say they wouldn't/haven't crossed a line, no matter how small, when it comes/came to a person they like? The girl is just a really stupid and wicked person, tell him you don't like what he did, block him, threaten to report him if he tries such again but don't ridicule him/ruin his job because he liked you enough to take a risk.
