Just stay away from them for now....While you try to always navigate your mind away from such thought when such comes in.

The reason you're having it is because when you think of it, you feed that thought with such fantasy. So the way out is to always navigate away from it....when the thought comes, change it immediately to something else.

I wish you all the best.

quote author=NovesaTillie post=107712286]I moved to this city because of my new job and my neighbors have been very homely and helpful to me especially the ones next flat,a young man and his wife with a kid . They have been very kind to me, sometimes when I get home late from work his wife calls me to join them for dinner and hangouts.

My issue now is I am beginning to grow fond of the man because of how gentlemanly he treats his wife and how dotting he is of their son. He ticks all the qualities that I dream of and sometimes I just feel like inviting him over to my place when his wife is out to tempt him a little.

What can I do to stop this feeling?
I don't want someone else man or to destroy a cute family.

Please don't insult me because I am in a relationship though it's a young relationship and I cherish my man I just see myself falling for this neighbor.[/quote]

There is difference between dismissal and termination in workplace

Termination - the employee will pay all the benefits that the employer is entitled to eg his salary, prorated to his last day of work, gratuity etc.

Dismissal - The employee forfeit every single benefits from the employer, no salary, gratuity etc. In fact, dismissal takes immediate effect.

blackboy:
dismissed terminated what is d difference.

This judgement has to be asppealed.

Did she force him into her room?
Did she forcefully take off his clothes?

He came to their room to forcefully or coerce her BN lack mail her into having sex.

That judge needs to be checked and their lawyer must be wack.

As an HR person, I will tell you that this question is the same thing as can you tell us about yourself...

You must answer it simply by using E.E.S which means Education, Experience, Skills. Using this allow your thought to be structure and expressing yourself will flow.

Don't say anything personal- family, hobby, best dish etc

Everything you say must relate to the job you are being consider for.

Dr. Adebola Olubamiji, the first black person to receive a PHD from University of Saskatchewa, Canada shared her success Story on FB and urged Nigerians to be bold & innovative.

We love when our very own succeeds and excels. The beauty about success stories is that it inspires us to do better and be better. Some stories are inspiring and Adebola’s success story is one of them.

Read and be motivated....

My name is Dr. Adeola D. Olubamiji and I’m the first black person to have received a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada (5th of June, 2017). My Bachelors degree was in Physics from OOU. Because I had a 2.1, it opened the door for me to proceed to Finland for a Masters Degree in Biomedical Engineering. During this masters degree, I worked part-time as a cleaner and did this after my Masters as well. Out of determination, I applied to over 100 schools for my PhD and finally got a full 3 year scholarship (later extended to 4 years scholarship) at University of Saskatchewan, Canada  to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. While in that PhD program, I worked part-time as a makeup artist and seller at Sephora Canada, I braided hair and weaves for students, did tutoring jobs and teaching assistant jobs to make extra money. This journey wasn’t easy but it’s now paying off. I currently work as a Lead Metallurgical / Material Engineer in an Aerospace Manufacturing Company here in Canada.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Don't Tell The Interviewer About Yourself, This Is What He Really Wants To Hear by freetongue(m): 1:29pm On May 12, 2017
lalabrother:
So some graduates are through with NYSC, which means that we have new entrants into the labour market, hence the need to share this post as the search for jobs begins for them.

A job interview does not have to be tense. In fact, you may find yourself with a very friendly panel, who will go all out to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

However, irrespective of the size and manner of the panel you are faced with, what is required of you is confidence and of course, the appropriate answers to every question you are asked. This part is what’s tricky.

So, in this post, we’d be looking at the simple ways to answer 5 tricky questions you are likely to get in your job interview.

1. Tell Me About Yourself.
This question seems very straightforward. Usually, the first you’d be asked in an interview. However, it is tricky because though it sounds like an invitation to tell your life story, it is not.

When asked the ‘tell me about yourself’ question, what the hiring panel is actually asking you is to tell them about yourself, as it pertains to the position you are applying for.

With this in mind, you should not begin to share generic information about yourself, your family or how many siblings you have. Rather, you could start with your name, academic qualifications, present skills and strengths, previous experiences as well as future professional aspirations. You should also feel free to ask the interviewers for clarifications, just in case there are specific information they’d like to hear about.

Take this for instance:

Question: Tell us a bit about yourself.

Wrong Answer: Hmmn, where do I start? My name is Oluwaseun. I was born in the late 80s and currently married with 6 kids. …

Right Answer: My name is Oluwaseun, a second-year master’s student of marketing communications at the Lagos Business School. Prior to pursing this degree, I worked with the marketing and communications department at Shell, where I developed and honed my skills in copywriting and digital marketing. This experience really piqued my interest in this field and I look forward to an opportunity to learn more and contribute to your marketing communications department…

2. Where do you See Yourself in Five Years?

This question is tricky because you might be tempted to say everything you see yourself doing in five years and completely miss the mark. Like the first question, your answer should be much more professional than personal. What the hiring panel really wants to know is if you are going to stick with them and if you are worth the investment of training.

To answer this question, you could tell them how you think the job will provide you with so many opportunities, such that in 5 years, you'd be in a particular position within the organisation. You can also explain what value you hope to have added as well as how you could also have improved yourself professionally in that time.

Take this for instance:

Question: Where do you see yourself in five years?

Wrong Answer: In five years, I’d be a millionaire, enjoying life. I’d have built a house and would probably be the CEO of this company …

Right answer: In five years, I hope to have acquired a lot of knowledge in marketing communications, as well as contributed immensely to the growth of my department and the company. I’m also looking forward to eventually taking on additional managerial responsibilities and possibly taking the lead on some projects…

3. What is your Greatest Weakness?

Like the first two, this question is also very tricky because you might be tempted to give personal, instead of professional answers.
When asked this question, what interviewers actually want to know is if or not you are consciously aware of the areas you could improve on. Your weakness does not have to be present. It could be something that you’ve already worked on, but say it anyway. I’d advise that you think about this question before the interview, so you don’t give a generic answer or be at a loss of what to say.

Based on experience as HR....I think the best approach to that question " Tell me about you" , "Who is Tunde Yakub Obinna" or "Can We/I know you" is to use E.E.S
E....Education. Tell them your education and qualification.
E...Experience. Tell them your experience, emphasising on those one that relates with the job you are being interview for.
S....Skills. Tell them about the skill you have gathered from your experience. Emphasize the skills that the job require.

Using this approach makes your response well structure and allow you to have free flow of thought. Do not talk about anything personal e.g family, favourite food etc!

Romance / Re: After Dating For 7 Years, He Called Off Our Engagement. by freetongue(m): 3:28pm On May 10, 2017
I met him in 2010, and I had to leave for graduate school in 2012. We continued dating and he visited me in the U.S as often as he could. After one of such visits, i discovered he had used my laptop to watch pornography. We had a fight, broke up, then made up again.

I am currently studying for my Doctorate and my greencard application (thru sister) is pending, therefore, i cannot travel out of the country now. So last year we decided to do our wedding in the U.S, and he and his family went to my family in Nigeria to pay my bride price.

My dad gave them a small price because he said we don't need their money and he is not selling me. But the problem was that the boxes of items they were to bring for me ended up being all cheap stuff, not even one single set of gold jewelry. My mum was unhappy and embarrassed, and i was terribly unhappy too. His excuse was that they didn't think the stuff would actually get to me since i am far away. My mum actually sent some of the stuff to me to see for myself. So we got into a huge fight and didn't speak for weeks. I later reached out to try and sort out our differences but he now says that he doesn't want to get married anymore.

I am distraught and embarrassed to even tell my family now because i had to fight for him and stand on my decision despite their hesitations. Is this relationship worth fighting for at all anymore? Do I deserve this after all this time?

So you expect to get good advice here.... Why are you still blind to yourself. To know what to do really, get a life coach or certified counsellor or even your religion head. However, I think praying to your God for direction is the best. However, for my own opinion based on what you have said here, I think you should let him go. Then, evaluate your own attitudes to issues, check your value system and then determine what kind of partner you really want.....I pray God will direct you in this challenging phase of your life.

blackberlin:
Though I don't support the maltreatment of workers, but the househelp shouldn't act like an ingrate. There's always 2 sides to a story and her complaint leaves so much unanswered. Is it possible that 20 pounds is all she's being paid? Really? By those who took her abroad in the first place?

It takes a lot to take someone abroad and give the person a better life, she should appreciate that. It's not like she had it better in Nigeria, so why should she bite the fingers feeding her over minor dispute.

The hardworking couple went through the stress of bringing her from Nigeria to the UK to help them babysit and keep the home, if she has issues, she should have found a way to table her complaints in a sensible way.

Most of these so-called househelps end up becoming arrogant and disloyal when they start having "london friends".

Rubbish! Is like you never travel out or you don't know what it means to collect 20 dollars per week for house help job? Don't be insensitive! Receive wisdom!

It is provocatively disheartening the brutish murder of deaconess Eunice Olawale during her morning evangelism in Kubwa, Abuja. Since the Imam has confessed of ordering his boys to chase the woman, but they personally decided to murder her. What investigation is police planning again, having arrested the imam and five of the boys? I think legal prosecution according to the law ought to be the next action. Based on previous plethora cases like this, I am afraid that this case will be bury after few months without justice for the victim and the law. Premises abound to concludes that justice on cases like this are elusive in Nigeria. However, it is high time for Government to know, if injustice and impunity goes on among the northern muslim, an eye for an eye will be a developing phenomenon. Of what use is tolerance for intolerant people of northern extraction, of what importance is peace for northern lovers of violence, of what peaceful coexitence with those who doesn't want it, what is the rationale in tolerating people, who will murder you tomorrow, whose appetite are only satisfy with innocent people's blood on the bases of misapplying and misunderstanding their religion. Most annoying is the defence and heroic attention given to the murderer by both followers and leaders of the religion even those in government by northern people. If new testament of Holy Bible didn't permits eye for eye, old testament will be selfishly utilized! Most time, tolerance and meekness doesn't solve issues! Christianity is not stupidity.

It is quite unfortunate, the case is crystal clear..........The appeal of Ikpeazu would have been validated if it has to do with post-election according to section 145 of Nigeria constitution. However, this is pre-election issue. The ground is that Ikpeazu shouldn't have been qualify from the begining from even primary as one of his prerequisite documents was faulty. Law is not respecter of anybody, it is not influenced by sentiments. This case is not far from Omehia Vs Rotimi Ameachi of River State.

It is bizzare that we have no sensible and legal oriented IGP, they should have moved swiftly to eject Government House of its illegal occupant and allowed the rightful owner to occupy it.

I expect the AGF to stop being political ( trying to distabilize Abia PDP with this issue) and instantly direct the chief judge to perform his statutory duty of swearing in Ogah.

It really pains me however, because Mr.Ikpeazu has been forthcoming with good governance. I wished he was plain from the genesis.

Pls research this issue, before you hurl insults on my person oooooo......Law is law!
