Culture / Re: Naomi Ogunwusi: When I Started Preaching, People Wanted To Bring Me Down by freg2000: 3:04pm On Jul 07, 2019
Gistring:
The Ooni of Ife’s wife, Olori Naomi Ogunwusi, has admitted that she has always loved the white garment church, Cherubim & Seraphim.

Speaking on Saturday at the Seraphim Media Summit held at Seraph Land, Maba, Ogun State, Olori said she was born and raised up in a Bible-believing church but whenever she preached as a young girl, they said she sounded like a member of C&S.

She said, “When I began preaching at a tender age, it was strange to the church I worshipped. They said I preached like the people from C&S. I thank you for bringing me here today because I have always wanted to be identified with the people they say I preach like. I love the church so much and I will always speak for you anywhere.”

She advised members to shun negative criticisms, saying that it was a deliberate act by certain people to ridicule what the church stood for.

She explained, “I rejoice with the church today because of the foundation. When I wanted to learn about indigenous men of God, the first person that came to my mind was the late founder of the church, Moses Orimolade. I want you to know that you are a beautiful brand regardless of what people say about you. You have a beautiful mark of identification; with your white garment, you don’t need any further introduction to anyone.

“We all know that in every original product, there are fake ones. People will always try to bring you down. When people said I was preaching like a C&S member, they were trying to bring me down,” she said.

Delivering her keynote address, the Founder of Love of Christ Generation in London, Rev Mother Esther Ajayi, said the mission of C&S was to renew the image of the church.

He said, “This summit is important because we live in a world that is changing. We are called all sorts of names by people. Even people who come to us for help tarnish us in the daylight. But like other denominations, we all have our shortcomings and humans will always be humans.”

She also said the founder of the church was never a cultist, maintaining that C&S is the only indigenous church that doesn’t have any western influence, “Our late founder was not a cultist but he was feared by cultists. When I met with Pastor Enoch Adeboye recently, he said his late mother was always saying that fetish people feared C&S because they knew they were powerful.

“I urge the media to be free and fair when reporting C&S like they are with others. Nollywood practitioners should stop using white garment to portray bad characters. Members must also avoid dragging the name of the church through the mud,” Ajayi added.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Head, Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Dr Prophet Solomon Alao, who appreciated the organisers of the summit said that with all the church has done to provide spiritual and physical supports for humanity, that it was unbelievable many take joy in tagging the church in ungodly names, which negate the essence of the church.

He added, “We are pleading with them to fear God. I admit that we have a few bad eggs among us but this is not peculiar to our church alone.”

https://thenationonlineng.net/when-i-started-preaching-people-want-to-bring-me-down-says-ooni-of-ifes-wife/

The truth of the matter is that watching all her preaching and infantile gospel evangelism, nothing position her in the direction of C&S. The best is a mix of rudimentary Pentecostals and prayer flavour of CAC.
When she got married into a purely traditional home, its not likely she will find any room in a the new day churches neither will the principled GOs accomodate her if at all to sharpen her spiritually. The next option that blends easily with the house of sacrifice is the C&S.Let her stop the fucking noise and the cheap publicity. Attention grabber.

Romance / Re: She Is Pregnant With Twins But I Honestly Don't Want To Marry Her. by freg2000: 11:43pm On Jul 06, 2019
sirdouglas:
Now before you judge me, I beg you to hear my side of the story.
I said my side of the story cos if she is here, she may not agree with everything I have to say.
This is a lengthy one but I will try to make it as short as possible.
I it is important to note that I am not writing this to be judged or ridiculed. I want matured and reasonable people to help out.

I met this girl in 2017. Can't really remember the month but it should be getting to 2years now. We started dating. As at the time I met her I wasn't struggling, I have my own business and apartment so I wouldn't say she met me when I had nothing. I was a big boy then if I can use that word.
She was just 19 or so then. I am this kind of guy that really really take relationship serious and always looking out to see if things can work out. I don't spend on her, I don't do much for her then. I wanted to see the kind of person she is. She doesn't care or even ask of anything. She might ask for something once in a while but I will pretend I didn't hearw her and to my amazement, she will never talk about it again.
With time I started noticing something about her that I don't like. First is she is really not smart and educated. I noticed that she doesn't have her own say. She listens to gossip and always bore me with what this person said or that person. I really hate that shit.
She is a mama's girl too. Sometimes I wonder if she gives her mom details of our sex life.
She won't sweep the house or do anything for me even while the relationship progressed. I started taking care of her and helping out with her needs. I constantly keep wondering if I can settle down with her but I am always stuck with that question.

I ended the relationship when it was clear to me that I can't live with her. I am an ambitious young man and I am not there yet. I want a woman who will be more than a sex mate. I want someone who can confidently handle my business and manage my home when I am not there. She is to naive to my liking. I am tired trying to build her into the kind of woman I want.

There is only one main reason why I wasn't really hard on her. She was one girl who accepted me from her heart and I know it and I respected that too. I suck when it comes to women and I respect women a lot. You know what they say about guys that respect women. They are mostly single
She came back few months later. She wasn't ready to let go. Being that I am a loner. My defence wasn't strong enough. We started dating. I got hold of myself and ask her to go again because I couldn't see a future with her and I can't bring myself to be wasting her time.

She wanted to stay, I told her in plain words that I don't want to marry her and that's why I am setting her free.

She left and came back the third time. We had sex and all that but this time I was determined to let her go. I went to a lab for a test with to make sure I didn't infect her with anything because I treated staph before I met her and I was afraid it may still be there or something. To my utmost surprise, she was the one who infected me with gonorrhea. I treated mine and hers and ask her to go.

I noticed that she haven't seen her period and asked her and she confirmed it. She left and came back few weeks later that she is pregnant. She insisted that she wanted to have an abortion but I wasn't interested. I told her to keep the child. Besides, she has been the one telling me that my sperm us not working. I laughed over it. I became afraid that she will try something stupid so I took her to a pharmacist friend of mine to discourage her.

Her mother got to know and ask her to call me. I went with a friend and told her mother everything. I started suspecting that the child might not be mine because I treated her of an infection she possibly contacted from another person. In fact, I was shocked when she confessed about the infection. She said it is the toilet they use at home but I never believed her.

I told her mother that I am not sure about the paternity but however, I will take care of her. I told her family that I don't want to marry her and I have told her that severely.

We had a long discussion that day and I left. I started taking care if her the more. I made sure that I made my stand clear on the matter. I don't want to be a murderer so I got to do what is necessary. She started complaining about abuse from her siblings and war started. They beat her almost all the time and I wanted to take it personal. Shit do happen at times but that is not enough reason to kill their sister.

When all this is happening, I was processing my papers. In fact, I started processing my papers before she got pregnant and she is full aware of that. I took another group of friends to their home to help beg the brothers to stop beating her so they don't kill her and the child.

My visa took time so she was almost due for delivery before I left. I sent money to her account and bought some things I felt she would need even the unnecessary ones and left.

My problem now is that she contacted me few days ago to tell me that the scan said she is having twins now not a boy. I can't explain in details because I don't know but the bottom line is that she is now having a twins. I feel for her like I always do.

I don't want to marry out of pity. I don't want to live a promiscuous life. I don't want to marry this girl honestly and having a twins for me just complicated the matter the more.

She said the doctor said she will be delivering this month. I am thinking of sending my uncle and younger brother to her family house to do the iku aka or whatever that is called so I can lay claims to my kids.

Her family is so messed up that I will never want to do anything with them on a normal day. They are from onitsha in anambra and I swore never to marry from that state. That's one of the reason I kept chasing her away. When I say messed up, I am really not that good with English to find the right word to define how disorganized it is.

I am feeling like a monster already. I need all the help that I can get. I never expected this to happen. I never wanted to complicate her life but here I am in the middle of all this.

Should I marry her out of pity and save her the embarrassment or give her money and make sure she comfortable and go ahead with my life. Honestly I don't know what to do.

Business / Re: 10 Biggest And Busiest Markets In Nigeria That Are Saving The Nation From Hunger by freg2000: 2:51pm On Jul 06, 2019
schoolnascam:

Markets in Nigeria are generally known to be very busy with all the hustling and bustling, people moving helter skelter, and those buying and selling. The markets are always congested which is why some dislike going to the market. During the just concluded Eid celebration, markets all over the country were packed with traders and buyers and the usually busy ones were even busier. In fact, the markets had become very busy and congested days before the Eid celebration. Products from food items to clothings were on high demand and prices of goods increased just as expected.

Despite the fact that all Nigerian markets are known to be always busy and rowdy, there are some of them that are extremely busy all year round, with or without special festivals or celebrations, and they are actually really big and popular markets. We would be looking at 10 of such markets in this piece. Here’s a list of them below:

1. Onitsha Market, Anambra

The Onitsha market, also known as Onitsha Main Market, is the largest market in Africa based on its geographical size and volume of goods, and one of the busiest in Nigeria. It is based in the city of Onitsha, the commercial capital of Anambra State.

Despite being located in the south eastern part of Nigeria, the Onitsha market is populated by traders and merchants from not only Nigeria, but all over the world. The Onitsha Main market is often regarded as the headquarters for importers in Eastern Nigeria. These importers are known to bring in about 6 – 20 consignments of 40 tonnes of goods annually. Imported products include jewelry, clothing, household, industrial and office items.

2. Idumota, Lagos

Idumota market is one of the oldest markets in Nigeria, and one of the busiest. The market is located on Lagos Island, and largely known to be the centre for Nollywood home videos, as well as often pirated Hollywood and Bollywood movies.

Apart from home videos, other products such as clothing, textiles, jewelries, shoes, bags and general home appliances are sold there. It is one of the most famous and busiest markets during holidays such as Christmas and Eid celebrations.

3. Kurmi Market, Kano

Kurmi Market is one of the largest and busiest markets in Nigeria, located in Kano state. The market was founded by King Mohammed Rumfa of Kano in 1463, making it one of the oldest markets in Nigeria.

The market is most popular for the sale of products such as sculptures, dyed fabrics, carved stones and woods, beaded jewelry, and woven materials. More so, also available are food items and fresh groceries as well as live cattle from the market.

4. Ariaria International Market, Aba

Fondly called the ‘China of Africa’, Ariaria International Market is one of the largest markets in West Africa. The market was established in the 1970s after a fire incident occurred in Ekeoha Market in Aba.

Ariaria International Market is popularly known for imitations of foreign products, ranging from clothes to shoes, belts, and other items, generally known as ‘Aba made’.

5. Alaba International Market, Lagos

Alaba International market is the hub for assorted electronic products imported directly from the manufacturers. These products include televisions, sound systems, musical instruments, and many other electronics and home appliances. The market is the biggest centre for pirated Hollywood, Nollywood, and Bollywood movies. When visiting the Alaba market, watch out for swindlers who are always looking to play a fast one on unsuspecting visitors.

6. Computer Village, Lagos

Computer Village is the largest ICT accessories market in Africa. There is virtually no sort of computer and electronic accessory that can’t be found in computer village. Also, there is probably no computer problem that cannot be handled or fixed in the market.

The daily business transactions and popularity has attracted new investors and ICT dealers across Africa thereby expanding the market size and population with profound effects on Lagos State economy.

7. Jos Main Market, Jos

Jos Terminal Market (Terminus) as it is otherwise known, is both a trading and tourist centre in Plateau state. It is said to be the largest indoor market in West Africa with its ultra-modern architectural design. Its design makes it easy for customers to get almost anything they want without much hassle. Produce of all kinds such as food items, household tools, etc can be purchased in the market.

8. Zaki Biam yam market, Benue

As the name implies, yam is the only item sold in this market, and this makes it the biggest yam market in West Africa. it is Located in Sankera axis of Ukum local government area in Benue State. With over 1.5 million tubers of yam produced in Benue, the market is the major source of yams for Nigerians.

9. Gbagi Market, Ibadan

The Gbagi market is known to be the textile hub in Ibadan just like Balogun or Idumota markets in Lagos. New fabrics and other clothing materials are offloaded straight from textile factories into the market everyday. All sorts of textile materials, from the lowest to the highest, could be found and several millions of naira are spent in this market on a daily basis.

10. Balogun Market, Lagos

Balogun market is one of the largest markets in Nigeria, and West Africa as a whole. The market is spread across so many streets on Lagos Island. The market is also the best place to get great bargains on different fabrics such as laces, ankara, casual and office wears, shoes, bags etc.

Politics / Re: Igbo Youths Declare Intention To Commence Cattle Rearing by freg2000: 2:04am On Jul 06, 2019
NaijaOlosho:
In a bid to find a lasting a solution to herdsmen-farmers’ clashes in the South East, the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has passionately appealed to governors in the zone to provide funds for farmers in the zone to indulge in cattle business and other livestock farming.

In a press statement issued by the national president of OYC, Igboayaka O Igboayaka, and made available to our correspondent in Owerri, the group contended that if such assistance was rendered by the governors, it would not only encourage indigenous cattle rearing in the zone but also reduce unemployment.

He also noted that the idea would end the constant herdsmen and farmers’ incidents in the zone.

According to the statement “in view of the raging war in these past years arising from settling of cattle herders in the South East and South-South regions, the Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, ably led by Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka, has seen reasons to urge governors of the Igbo extraction, to mobilise funds and empower indigenous farmers in the region to embark on a large-scale rearing of cattle and other livestock, using the ranching method for adequate production of milk and meat to meet the agricultural needs of our people.

“To break the ethnic monopoly of the livestock business since it has grown to become a problem for all, our governors must step in swiftly to grant loans to our local farmers who engage in cattle ranching. We must break this monopoly, not only to sanitise and upgrade the livestock business and make it more rewarding, but also to put an end to this imperialist, wanton killings and territorial claims.

The statement further reads: “OYC believes that this system will definitely improve the quality and safety of the beef and diary products suitable for export and our local consumption.

“On that note, the OYC is urging the Igbo governors to establish modern ranches to be operated by indigenes of their respective states and any other Nigerian who decides to key into it by meeting the requirements for enlistment. It will also go a long way in eradicating the dangers of nomadic cattle rearing if the governors would work together to reinvent the defunct Eastern Region’s ranches that were destroyed during the Biafra-Nigeria war.

“It is sad that after the war, the entire southern Nigeria appeared to have given up on agriculture as a business allowing the North to take the initiative. While we were growing up, we learnt of the Obudu Cattle Ranch and other ranches from where local varieties of livestock such as cows, goats and sheep were reared. These varieties which were indigenous to the evergreen vegetation zones were much more nutritious and highly prized than their lean and long-legged Sahelian counterparts. In fact, the northern livestock were generally looked down upon as inferior to the southern breeds.

“For instance, when you hear an Igbo chief hailed “Ogbu efi” the cow so referred to does not refer to the Sahelian, long-legged cows which today trample our farms and gorge on our crops. It refers to the shorter but heavier forest oxen which you do not find on the roadside butcher’s table. It is a delicacy for specialized ceremonies reserved for titled chiefs and those around them. Before the war, people kept those local varieties of livestock as the subsistent business behind their backyards. It is time we went back to this practice.

“Beyond the subsistence level, state governments in Igbo land can establish ranches and parcel out portions for the youth who are interested in livestock farming to embrace them. These youths should be trained to run these ranches as profitable businesses modeled on best practices around the world. Improved varieties of this livestock should be able to supply meat and dairy products that will make preferred alternatives to the nomadic Fulani cattle.

“Therefore, our governors must help our indigenous farmers by investing in cattle rearing and drive innovation in the agricultural sector as the high demand for beef in our states guarantees good returns on the investment. If this is done and the laws against open-grazing are firmly enforced in Igbo land, there will be no more room for armed pastoral militias and their sponsors seeking to steal other people’s ancestral lands under any guise of cattle colony or Ruga settlement,” the statement said.

>>> https://grovenaija360.com/breaking-news-igbo-youths-declare-intention-to-commence-cattle-rearing/

This should be a good template for all the regions to follow so as to put an end to the problem. If you want to rear cattle, stay in your zone or states.
Its all a game of seriki to emir #Fulanisation

Family / Re: My Wife Often Denies Me Sex Despite That I Only Return Home On Weekend From Work by freg2000: 1:58am On Jul 06, 2019
kennydotkom:
My wife has always denied me sex with her, though I know that whenever she is not in good mood, she won't allow me, but this has become frequent with her. Note that I work in another state but I come home every weekend in which I have all the privileges to have girls because I live alone.

I can decide not to come home on a weekend just to attend to other girls but I didn't. Many people often call me a pastor because my neighbor where I work has not seen me with girlfriend with all the freedom I have.

Sometimes she jokingly says that I so much like sex that she doesn't want to grow old fast because of sex. With just 2 or 3rounds am OK till next weekend oo.

HOW TRUE IS This? as for me I get satisfy whenever we have fun togeda such that I can wait till next weekend when I will return home from work.

She is not a working class type, so she does her business at home, no stress except to take care of kids. at time she complained of headache, tiredness, or even if I wake her up at around 4am when kids have slept, she will complain that why did I wake her up when she was dreaming. And if am forcing her, she will being to make noise that can wake the kids up.

Here in my place of work in abeokuta I have all the reason to sleep with other girls, in which I have told my wife herself that my conscience cannot judge me if I do, because with little time I spend with you, u often turn me down and mostly she never initiate sex with me except she is extremely happy but very rear.

I don't know who to report her to .i just don't want to flirt around because of fear of God and love I have for my kids. We can go a month without sex, she is very OK with that, I told her that she had turn herself to just roommate.

Its a pity but you were here to get sound advice. First, your wife is already having good and solid sex outside the marriage. Second, she is only with you because of what to eat and to take care of her children.
But the truth is that ,its always a messy game trying to work out divorce. Just allow her to enjoy herself. Whatever you can give to support the home, do it but you don't need to be coming home every weekend again. Make it once in 2 wks and don't even trouble her for sex, Let her be.
Find a mature lady to deal with because you need sex and you need it very well, its part of good health. Enjoy yourself outside very well and leave her alone.
The result will be that she either change and call the family to beg you or she pack out of the house.

NUT Kicks against Direct Allocation of Funds to LGs, Says Teachers will Suffer
By editor - 1 min ago
By Laleye Dipo in Minna
The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has said that the plan by the federal government to give direct allocation of funds to local governments in the country could inflict a lot of sufferings on teachers who are the major employees of the local governments.
The NUT said the direct allocation of funds to local governments will also pose a lot of challenges to teachers especially in areas of payment of salaries and other allowances.
The Niger State chapter of the union raised the objection to the policy in Minna on Wednesday in a communiqué issued after the State Wing Executive Council (SWEC) meeting held at the Teachers House in the Niger State capital.
“The SWEC in session express serious concern at the recent approval granted by the federal government on the direct allocation of local government funds to their respective accounts.
“The council further observes the challenges this development might pose to the payment of primary school teachers,” the communiqué stated.
Signed by the state Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Umar, and the Principal Assistant Secretary General, Mr. Garba Labaran, the union however suggested that to ensure regular and prompt payment of teachers’ salaries, under the policy “it should be placed on first line charge to SUBEB for onward payment to teachers”.
The SWEC in session, according to the communique “express support for the federal government’s directive to teachers yet to register and licensed by Teachers Registration Council (TRCN) to do so by the end of December, this year”.
It however observed what it described as “the disenfranchising factor” the computer based test pose to Arabic teachers during examinations and therefore called on the TRCN “to look into the issue with a view to addressing it”.
It commended the Niger State government for the implementation of “Domestic Allowance” to secondary school teachers on grade level 15 and above and appealed that such gesture should be extended to teachers at the primary school sector to boost their morale.
The communique express worry and serious concern at the continued delay in the commencement of the next batch of training and supply of Z-pad to the remaining secondary school teachers.
“The Council therefore calls on the Ministry of Education to as a matter of urgency prevail on the NGO to ensure that the second week of July 2019 promised by the NGO to resume the programme is strictly complied with,” it said.
It also congratulated Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Matane on his appointment as the Secretary to the State Government and urged him to use his wide experience to move the state administration forward.

What is the wisdom in her dancing openly in the town's market when she could have filed her complaint with the police and let the process takes over. Age and fame has nothing to do with wisdom really

Politics / Re: RUGA Will Solve Security Challenges In Nigeria - Lalong. by freg2000: 11:46am On Jul 03, 2019
Masterclass32:
Simon Lalong, Plateau State Governor, has appealed to Nigerians and other state governors to work with the Nigerian government in the creation of settlement farms for herdsmen saying it would solve economic and security challenges of the country.

He said this while speaking with State House correspondents after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Lalong, who claims Plateau is ready to give its land for the creation of the settlement said international organizations would be involved in financing the settlement.

He said, “This is a policy that we felt that it is not only for economic sense, but it would also address the issue of security. So if it is going to address insecurity in a period the country is confronted with serious security challenges then federal government would come and assist those who want to do it.

“They are not imposing it on any state, I am a member of this committee under the chairmanship of the Vice President, the federal government has not imposed that on any state.

“They said if you have land for pilot scheme they can assist, and donor agencies are coming from all over, it is not a federal government project, the World Bank is involved, the African Development Bank is involved.

“So if you have a scheme like this that can take poverty, bring revenue and also address insecurity, you will need to go into it but with due consultation from your state.”

He refuted claims that the Ruga settlement would favour a tribe over the other while asserting that it would totally put an end to clash between nomadic herdsmen and farmers.

“We did a lot of sensitization, in my state it took me three months to do sensitization and we all agreed that we should bring this concept to empower people. It is not meant to empower one tribe it is for everybody and that would address the issue of insecurity because we don’t want people moving from one place to another looking for grasses,” Lalong said.

if it is true that this statement was issued by the Governor after meeting the President, then of course Nigeria is finished. There is definitely a sinister and covert plan by Buhari to cunningly hand over the country to the Fulani.
I dont know how we will be spending all the energy of the Presidency on a tribe. They are also eating cow meat in other West Africa countries but the do not Rugalise the entire nation because of this. Must we have the entire nation handed over to Fulani just because we want to eat meat. This is a o chance vehicle. We must sharpen our eyes, U think the romance is over. We need a stateman not a cowman to redirect the country.

What do you expect when Tinubu boy was in charge? Those are things the scammer of Tinubu was trying to cover up by shifting base to Ibadan during the election to impose Adelabu as the governor.
Until you free South West from the grip of the kleptocrat , you cant get development. At this age and time, with all the billions getting into Lagos, flood is still a problem, rickety vehicles are still on the road managrd by NU RTW assasins. Come 5, Osun will fall.

We do not any other proof to conclude that lots of criminals are hanging around the corridors in Abuja. It is also clear that Nigerians are now treated as slaves in their fatherland.
More saddening was the action of the security who ought to place the Senator under arrest but rather adding insult to injury. The police are nothing but Uber eat mopol

Hahaha
This is clearly a case of assault which can be taken up by the police who must get the beast cum security arrested, secondly lawyers will advice better on likelihood of a tort action against the hotel.
Generally the system is murky and not well defined. Private security are only expected to secure a the premises against trespass, and a clear cut standing order on ways to go about it. No private security has the right to handcuff but may restrain a suspect and quickly find a way to contact the police in case of active resistance or damage to properties.
I will expect Nigerians to rise up and make the hotel face the full legal consequence.
