cumbak60: This charlatan. For me as an Igbo man to take your Biafra seriouse, you must restrict your Biafra dream to only Igboland, both S'S and S'E, otherwise we remain in Nigeria. You cannot create another mini Nigeria in the name of Biafra. Besides, you IPOBs are still evolving on the aspect of media management, the way you guys abuse and insult our elders is really heart wrenching. wtf. Did you read the article? Because if you did and still made this comment then you are very ignorant. |

GrandGarcon: Much of the food consumed there is from Cameroun, I am a living witness, In fact Cameroun is what I will call Africa's Biggest farmland. I travelled from Nigeria to Gabon by road and saw all these things, go to Limbe, Bafousam, Mamfe and many other places in Cameroun from there to Bitam in Gabon, You will find huge farms every here and there, food is dirt cheap there, so the supply food to Nigeria, Gabon, Congo (Brazaville), Eqautorial Guinea, in fact Cameroun supplies food to all the CEMAC countries plus Niageria. You don't travel but sit in Kaduna to pull statistics from your @55. This is brutal finishing. Chaiii |

I guess someone didn't like that inconvient fact. They open multiple threads monthly of Igboland being landlocked and nobody ever shuts them down. But one thread for northerners and the mods swing to action..... I cant wait for Biafra. |

You people think south Africans don't follow what is going on in Nigeria. In their mind, they will say if northerners can issue those threats in Nigeria and Nigerian government didn't do anything, then why can't we do the same.
They know just like the rest of Africa that Nigeria has a weak government. |

NafeesaAA: Even the goats and cattle you use for Isewu and pomo are imported from Argentina .
Pack and Go is that too hard to comprehend? Maybe not Nama but when it comes to goat, we don't play. Raising goat is just as common as raising chicken in Igboland. That's why we have Isiewu traditionally as a delicacy. |

Onions and Tomatoes are Food ingredients and not actual food. Also both crops grow well in the east.
Anambra and Ebonyi are taking care of rice production in the SE. |

Ngozi123: Excellent post. Essentially, this whole country is running on Niger Delta oil. Not even taking into account that oil is a non-renewable energy source and thus is finite, that particular region of the country has been unstable for years now yet the past and present Nigerian governments have never sought to diversify the country's revenues. And we're told that the Igbos are the problem with this country...
Most people don't realise that many Igbos dominate LME businesses not completely out of choice; they were forced into it after the Biafran war after being excluded out of the civil service, the military etc as it was the only way that one could generate income without much assistance from the government, which wasn't afforded to them. This goes to show how resilient and adaptive we are as a people so I really don't worry about what will happen to the average igboman once Biafra comes into fruition. We will adapt.

Scholes007: Just legodi, so every dick n harry form relevance now. Smh My brother, this is something that needs to happen. Let the rejections continue. It is good news because it will help IPOB know where to focus their resources and energy on. "A successful fisherman casts his nets far and wide and slowly narrows the net upon return." IPOB should start narrowing their focus to areas that have shown strong support and immediately remove areas that have issued LEGITIMATE statements. |

This picture sums up the generational divide that I have been talking about.
All I see are bunch of old men from a different era gathering and thinking that they have real power to stop the inevitable break up of Nigeria. This coming Igbo generation is very pro-Biafra and they will take over soon. This is a matter of when and things will never be the same after that. Now is the best chance to restructure Nigeria before it finally gets to the point of no return. |

Cameroon cows are fatter and healthier than Nigerian cows. Besides when Biafra comes igbos businessmen will go into ranching. This sector alone will create so many more millionaires in Biafra. |

It is good that different groups are coming out in the open to reject Biafra. I and so many others are fine with it. BUT if the UN or AU backs a Biafran referendum tomorrow, I hope all these groups sticks to their words and not ask to participate. If you deny Biafra today, please deny it forever. Don't come back last minute to join when the odds are no longer in your favor. |

It just makes me angry and boils my blood when these same people are willing to commit another genocide against igbos but wont bat any eyelid if hausa-fulanis do the same. kingzizzy: Ojukwu explained it that Nigeria is basically a tripod with three legs, Hausa/Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo.
Like all tripods, if any one those legs leaves the arrangement, the whole thing will come crashing down. Igbos literally hold the existence of Nigeria in their hands. Igbos go, Nigeria crashes. Let it crash then. Enough of using human blood to water this evil garden. |
Politics › Re: Biafra Vs Arewa Face Off: The Five Major Issues We Must Not Fail To Understand by Fremancipation: 8:17am On Jun 14, 2017 |
agaba77: Op most of your arguements are based on economics. What many non-igbo nigerians do not understand is that ndi-igbo's #1 priority in life is not about making money, rather it is the freedom to pursue their God given destiny without artificial hinderance as curently obtains in Nigeria. The second issue is lack of fairness, equity and justice. Igbo culture and mindest is very strong on these issues.
These two issues is what is driving the agitation. Igbo businesses lost billions of naira by oberserving the sit at home, if its all about money they would have ignored the order.
Keep in mind that Hitler confisticated billions of dollars in jewish properties and busineses. The Jews lost everything they had worked hard to accumulate all over europe. Today some of the richest people in europe and the entire world are jewish, from Zuckerberg of facebook to Sergei Brin of google. Ndi Igbo will start from scrath if need be and still prosper greatly because its the culture and in their dna.
The solution is more autonomy to the regions so they can chart their own course and control their destiny. Beautiful!!! |

kingzizzy: Because 'one Nigeria' is a fraud and every Nigerian knows it. There are several reasons why the different Ethnic nationalities want Nigeria to stay one or not.
Hausa/Fulani: Scared of losing out on the proceeds of Oil and Gas and being landlocked.
Yoruba: A people with a long history of fighting to be with every ethnic group around them to create empires, Yorubas have no history of being by themselves. It scares them to be alone and scares them even more for Igbos to leave them alone in Nigeria at the mercy of the North. Nigeria gives them the natural comfort zone they are used to of not having to worry about self determination.
Igbo Igbos fought the Arochuwku war, the Ekumeku war and the Biafran war in other not to be part of Nigeria. They still agitate to this day to leave Nigeria by way of peaceful referendum.
Ijaw: They like Igbos also fought imperialistic rule and triumphed briefly at the Akassa battle. An Ijaw son called Adaka Boro once declared Ijawland to be "Republic of Niger Delta". Ijaws also have a sense of self determination like Igbos but are divided how to go about it. While Ijaws such as Asari Dokubo wants his Ijaws to join Biafra, others like Ateke Tom want resource control/Restructuring.
Efik/Ibibio : It is hard to guage what the Efik/Ibibio sense of self determination is. One thing is certain, it is nowhere near the level of that of Igbos and Ijaws. There are some who want to join Igbos in Biafra, there are others who want resource control. There are some that want something called 'Oyono Republic' although there isnt much steam about it.
One thing is certain, in Nigeria, the center can no longer hold and the country is heading for dissolution. Interesting analysis. I wonder why the idea of igbos leaving Nigeria drives some people crazy but the same people don't feel that way when you ask them about Hausa Fulani doing the same. Igbos need to ignore the critics and push on with their agitation for Biafra. |
