Igbos used to be very passive on Nairaland back in the days. The level of hate they used to throw at us was out of this world. But when we started responding the aggressors started playing victim. if you want to believe their crocodile cries that is your own problem but remember to turn your back on your way out for their ceremonial stabbing. |
Abagworo:This is a new low for you...SAD!!! |
I have been on Niaraland for 8 years. I have seen it all from yorubas. Now they want to start playing fake victim when they are only reaping the hatred that they have been sowing. |
Odingo1:They don't understand how difficult it is to run and maintain business in Nigeria. It has almost always ranked as the worst place to do business in the world. Buying and selling is not childs play especially in NIgeria. kids in the east are adopted from age 14 and trained for 7-10 years in a line of business and trade before their oga settle them. They think it is as easy as buying and selling. |
morscino:Then what is stopping them from doing it now? Why wait for Igbos to leave in order to get into those buying and selling businesses? explain Mind you there are millions of jobless youths in Nigeria. Why are they not going into buying and selling like Igbo youths do? |
ERockson:This generation is using diplomatic means through peaceful protests and using diaspora communities to lobby foreign nations. Nobody in my generation wants another war but as human beings we retain our rights to self defense if the need comes. |
The same way that Gowon reassured ojukwu that no more igbos will be killed. Those that returned were never heard from. |
To start a business and do it for years in a country that is consistently ranked one of the worst business climate in the world is not easy. Doing business in Nigeria is not for the faint hearted. So you wont magically generate new businesses over night in Nigeria in order to make up the lost revenue. Lagos will be the worst hit because of its massive debt. |
Igboesika:Is like the example someone gave. If you have 10 noisy renters in your house who have been paying rent and you kick them out because you cant stand their noise, where is your rent going to come from? |
American tax payers don suffer....everyone all over the world is trooping there to have baby. The Chinese are the worst in this practice. |
askaboutbiafra:What economic model will be best for Biafra to develop rapidly and how much involvement should the government have in Biafran economy? |
Igbo investments will suffer initially because Nigerians cant wait to carryout their evil fantasies but once the tax revenues and economy starts going down Nigerian government will start begging for businesses to come back. |
izombie:Exactly!!! this is what I call medicine after death. it took 4kn 50 years just to pass a symbolical bill. Only fools will use this first reading as a pointer. it is just a greek gift. |
Ojukwu was right when he said they were ready to repel Nigerian attack in the beginning of the war BUT he never factored in that the British, soviet union, and some Arab states will join in the fight. He thought the fight was going to be between Biafra and Nigeria. |
Even with all the groups in Nigeria joining the in the uncivil war to fight against the Igbos, they wouldn't have been able to defeat Biafra with out the unlimited supply of weapons by the British, then followed by the soviet union. A war analyst back in 2010, said that of all the weapons Nigeria used against Biafra, none of them can be produced today in Nigeria. His argument was that the Igbos were actually fighting the British empire and NOT Nigeria. Nigeria was just used as a "tool" to put defeat Igbos because they were scared of their empire crumbling in Africa. |
dyydxx:Oya now if you are so confident tell your government to start another war and see how fast this contraption will collapse. Assad thought that by strong arming the protesters and killing them, they will cower and run away. 6 years later, look at Syria today. In the east we know that we can rebuild faster and stronger than any other group with no assistance. We have done it before and we can do it even much better and faster. Same cannot be said for the zoo. Please tell Nigerian government to start a war and see Biafra become a country at the end of this year. You think western nations will support Islamic Nigeria over Biafra. |
dyydxx:Dont make the mistake of thinking that Nigeria will win another war if anything starts. For the mean time, Biafrans are exploring all available peaceful means but if Nigerian government makes the mistake of another war, Syria will be a child's play. In the civil war, biafrans had a professional army and fought a conventional war against the British vassal Nigeria. The world was blind then and Biafra didn't have much. We were just helpless with no real support. A second civil war will be unconventional and will amass the biggest insurgency in Africa history. Biafrans are now all over the world and will mount attacks in all of Nigeria embassies and foreign missions. At the end as NNamdi Kanu says, you might kill us but we will win. |
starkid1996:We shouldn't ban Islam because of the international repercussions but we should have strong border protection and patrol. No matter what happens we should never allow Muslim refugees to come in. They should go seek help from other Muslim countries. You can't be running to infidels anytime you need help. |
pazienza:Ikwerre people won't want to stay in Nigeria without igbos forget all these shakara and besides they are not the only Igbo clans in rivers state. What about the rest that never denied their Igboness after they were carved out of abia state. Why do we always act as if they are the only igbos clans in rivers state or port harcourt while ignoring the rest. |
Knowing how short term minded typical Nigerians are, they will seek to destroy and plunder as much as they can Igbo wealth in Nigeria. But much later as years go by they will start sending delegations to Biafra to attract investments back into Nigeria at much cheaper rate and incentives than what is available now. |
pazienza:Amen. Well captured. |
Land locked means land locked. It means you have no access to the sea. Even if only the current SE in its geopolitical form makes up Biafra, it is still not land locked. Abia state southern tip has the potential for a large port less than 30 nautical miles to the open sea. Ndigbo need to stop swallowing propaganda |
@op, Biafrans are planing to set up the largest development fund in Africa that will be injected into the Biafran economy using Biafran diaspora bond and contributions. The fund will be dedicated to rapid infrastructure development from seaports to railways to highways etc. It will help us catch up with the rest of the civilized world. Give me some ideas on how to go about it. Thanks |
Nnamdi Kanu, you are a blessing to biafrans. Thank you for your sacrifices. We are strongly behind you. |
Southern bla bla bla nonsense. Gang up against Jonathan by the westerners was the final death blow to any possiblity of southern unity in Nigeria. We have gone past that level. Biafra is where we are now. |
The sudden disappearance of that character from nairaland is fishy. Hope his paymaster didn't execute him for a horrible propaganda job. |
Another tripod and bipod group has surfaced again. These people no dey tire. |
Agumbankembu:This people don't know how far IPOB has gone. They spend all day in afonjaland throwing insults while IPOB is making big moves behind the scenes. |
" we intend to stay peaceful but if they come to our house and start slaughtering us and raping our women, then we we have to defend ourselves. That's the least we can do." -Nnamdi Kanu 2017 |
