This thread deserves a fresh attention for those who never got to see it last year. The question can change our fundamental perspective towards Biafra. |

sukkot: they were called the NOK tribe. its an ancient tribe. nothing to do with igbo. google it. The NOK All because of IPOB resistance to your useless Nigeria, you are willing to go to any extent to distort Igbo history. NOK Culture existed in the north central or middlebelt. |

ZarZar: Nope, the longest war in British colonisation goes to the Xhosa tribe of South Africa I will take the correcting in good fate but that doesn't undermine the main point which is that igbos difnt make it easy for the British unlike some groups that surrendered their land with little to no fight. Some groups even invited them to take over |

sukkot: you must think we are all stupid here. why is there no igbo on the map ? you dont need to conquer someone before including them on the map. you must think we are stupid here Oh yes in your distorted mind igbos moved into Nigeria after the British came. Let's just forget the Igbo-ukwu and Nri artifacts that were stolen by the British dated back to the 900 ad. Nairaland needs IQ testing. |
Politics › Re: Do Igbos Really Come From Nigeria ? This Old Map Says Otherwise by Fremancipation: 3:28pm On Jun 13, 2017 |
hornyofife: actually, both the yorubas and the hausas have been conquered as at 1880, the igbos where yet to be taken over hence, they were not yet included in the map. The igbo territory was the last to be subdued of all Britain colonial territory of Nigeria. Part of why they dislike the igbos because the igbos were stubborn and hard to crack.. The igbos resisted British rule for so many years. The Aro confederacy (an alliance that included ibibios) fought them for 12 years. The anioma Igbo fought the longest British resistance in Africa. Lasted for 31 years. It was called the ekwumekwu war. There is a reason the British feared igbos and made sure to keep them away from power. |

The biggest defeat Nigeria government can give to IPOB is to fundamentally restructure the country with respect to true/ fiscal federalism, regional autonomy and resource control.
If they do this, IPOB organization will lose members rapidly and cease to exist within a year. |
Politics › Re: Nnamdi Kanu Is Not The Cause, He Is The Symptom by Fremancipation: 1:08pm On Jun 10, 2017 |
Nnamdi Kanu is being used as a diplomatic tool and symbol for Biafran agitation. If Nigerian government makes the mistake of harming him, IPOB will fundamentally change its strategy to a very violent group. The world will not even feel bad for Nigeria because they know how things played out since IPOB is making foreign nations aware.
That's is why Nigerian government hasn't killed Nnamdi Kanu and he will continue to be a thorn in Their flesh. |

Middlebelt have rejected the northern hegemony
Niger Delta non Igbo minorities have also done the same
Igbos both in SE/SS under IPOB have rejected the northern hegemony and leading the resistance.
The North and their slaves are on their own. |

pazienza: Well, What do we have here?
Not bad, as long as no iota of Proudly Igbo speaking group would be coerced into the Niger Delta republic.
But the truth is that the Niger Deltans ("Whatever that term means) don't want secession from Nigeria, they want resource control, which would be granted in the year 4017 by Arewa dominated NASS.
So, there you have it. THEY WILL NEVER GET RESOURCE CONTROL!!! I AM WILLING TO DRINK RAT POISON MYSELT IF NIGERIA GIVES THEM RESOURCE CONTROL IN MY LIFETIME. THEIR RESOURCES IS THE REAL REASON NIGERIA STILL EXIST>>>>these people will wait tire....look at what the north did to the PIB bill Jonathan proposed. |

Niger delta avengers was a big disappointment. What happened to their fight to liberate their people from exploitation?? Where are they now This is why people respect and obey IPOB because they refuse to compromise their integrity. This Niger delta group might turn out to be false and join a long list of fake groups that exists only in computer hard drives. |

Most importantly state police Everybody has their own definition of what true federalism entails. I subscribe to the one presented by ohaneze ndigbo back in 2010. Anything outside of that is a joke. |

emmasege: Isn't this why the country should be restructured such that each region can have some level of autonomy? As you can see a lot of people have given up on that. Secession is the best thing at this point. Restructure is just a political appeasement buzz word. Remember Nigeria rejected Aburi accord that would have restructured Nigeria back in the 60s. |

ngeneukwuewuGOAT: That in the event of a breakup and the Biafrans, the Omoluabis, Middle Beltans, etc have their separate countries, we will be willing to enter into economic partnerships to help each other grow their economies and societies to achieve the Millennium Developed Goals.
. Every group now avoiding leprous northern Fulani islamist like a plague People don't realize how backward Nigeria has been dragged back because of the north. So many African countries achieved their millennium development goals even before the deadline while Nigeria couldn't even achieve 10% of it. |

I hope this group will not exist only on the pages of newspapers. I may not agree with all of IPOB strategy but I respect them a LOT because unlike so many groups in Nigeria that sit behind computers and write long speeches, IPOB makes moves for their struggle.
This is the real reason IPOB earned my respect. They do what they say they will do even in front of live bullets. They have even scarified their lives for it.
SO this group has to back up their long speech with actions. |

Yorubas have a consistent habit of doing this. It's has been called out so many times on this forum.
The way they jubilate when negative things happens to igbos, you will think their lives depends on it.
There was a thread that gave multiple examples of this phenomenon and they avioded that thread like leprosy.
That's why I don't take them seriously when they start their fake victim cries that's igbos are attacking them. |

Anyway, they don't know outside of Aba and onitsha, the next largest ipob Members is delta north, after us is rivers igbo. That's, why I always laugh during the "we SS and biafra would be just the 5 SE state" ranting. My brother you make me so proud for real. you are the general air-raid of our generation. My joy is the involvement of the brains that will really add the much needed flavor at this point in time. Yes I am from Oshimili north LGA, oko obi-okpo is my village. little known fact is that IPOB protest happened in Asaba first before Onitsha when Mazi nnamdi kanu was arrested. |

The northern youths have come under heavy criticisms from governors and senators in the Northern part of Nigeria.
Yet our counterparts in the east have not uttered a word regarding their position on IPOB.
I would like to know does the south-east support IPOB or not. Are they scared of airing their positions on this issue. Are easterners scared of IPOB or in support of IPOB Abeg go drink some water before you choke on your hatred of Igbos. |

Ikechu10: It is how the first xenophobia attacks from South Africans targeted igbos and these lots celebrated it. Infact I was here when they applauded it.
Fast forward it to the last one the SA did few months ago where it was their people getting attacked and killed the most, igbo retaliated to their earlier behavior and immediately they started shouting "we are all nigerians. We should condemn when foreigners attack us" and "hateful, ipob, Nnamdi has taught igbo hate blah blah" completely forgetting wtf they did first and started playing victims as usual.
The thread created to call out their hypocrisy was deleted immediately. Watch soon enough, they'll delete this one as well. There is a famous thread about their hypocrisy where every evil celebrations that they had in the past was laid bare. I strongly remember that thread because I waited for hours to see their response and believe me when I say that not a single Yoruba showed up defend what they did. I am sure you remember that thread. |

Earlier this year a Yoruba poster opened a thread where he said that he missed the once peaceful and loving Igbos and blamed Nnamdi kanu for it.
In his mind, peace loving is when they abuse and insult you without you responding back. Those days are forever gone. We know better now. |
Politics › Re: Trip To Memory, Nnamdi Kanu Started The Hate Speech. by Fremancipation: 9:35pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
pazienza: Of course.
I always pity Igbos who go around saying that IPOB and Nnamdi brought hatred on Ndiigbo, the ignorance and stupidity of such Igbos is pathetic.
I have been on this board under different monikers to know that the hate Nigerians have for Ndiigbo is endemic and terminal.
I was here when the likes of Dayokanu now Ramdueter, Bluetooth, Ileke and the rest of the Yoruba haters rejoiced over the predicaments of MASSOB and Uwazuruike.
First they mocked their non violent methods, called them clowns, then they started calling for their deaths, rejoicing whenever Nigerian police arrests or kills any of them. The hate was as strong as it is today, only that NL wasn't that popular then and only few people here were around then.
OP. Great job. The haters would keep hating, but one thing we have promised them is that unlike our forerunners, we will not leave their hatred unattended to, we will so concentrate their hate and magnify them into million Times before pouring them raw on them.
No iota of their hate will go unattended to. Retaliation must be used and used effectively, they can cry all they want, but we won't stop, because we know that hatred is a terminal disease, there is no curing it. well said. |
