IPOB has said to the Niger Delta people let circulates this wealth within 300km radius and use the surplus to give grants and aids to Nigeria they refused.

2 symbolic things Buhari did after winning the election in 2015.

A. He traveled to the middle east to be presented a jihadist flag with Arabic inscription

B. He went straight to his cattles and gave them a conquering assurance of salutation.

That's the agenda not economy or security for Nigeria.

The fulani herdsmen kills in yoruba land, the yorubas instead of attacking the fulanis will start bickering with the igbos, the fulani man kills in the east instead of the yorubas condemning the atrocities committed by the fulanis against the igbos will rather mock the igbos and vice versa.

These are supposedly 2 most educated tribes in the country allowing illiterates herdsmen push the narrative and define their fate.

As long as this ugly bickering between the yorubas and igbos continues, fulanis will overrun the southern Nigeria.

The south might be educated, the north are street smarter.

In fact the North deserves Sardauna Day too, a day to remember the killing of Ahmadu Bello by the Igbos

You started a war that you stood no chance of winning.

Some mumu Igbos are even saying "Nigeria government starved 100,000 Igbos to death."

I just laughed in Ijesa

Just imagine, the Igbos wanted to fight the Northern led Nigerian government, they were really expecting the food they needed to sustain them during the war to come from the North, the North whose leaders they plotted a coup against and killed, Ojukwu didn't make provision for food for those he sent to battle field but instead, "They had to rely on the food supply from the North so as to win the war against the North."

Oh my, I'm short of words, that stupidity was inherited along with the hate
That's how war are fought. You allow humanitarian aids to flow both ways while continuing your fight with your real opponent.

Check out Israel and other well developed countries when the want to go offensive, they make sure civilians populace is evacuated before bombing.

You don't commit genocide and claim you won a war. That's despicable and inhuman position.

To answer your question.

The political elite of the south east, do not want to leave Nigeria, but ipob terrorist group want to leave Nigeria with Nigeria's oil.

Most igbo will lose out if they leave Nigeria, the igbo business men and traders know that, they are the ones scattered all over Nigeria doing business.
Why are you so much bothered of them concerning what they'll lose or what the will gain? It's going to be their loss. Post civil war they lost everything and started afresh so let it be their cross to undergo the experience twice.

The political igbo elite out of fear and subjugation may be cowed into not speaking up or rather they don't understand the feelings of the ordinary igbo man on the street. Most of the igbo people agitating for a Biafran state only grew up noticing the marginalization and hatred going on.

How do you convince a young man whose 11 years old kid scored 250 in a common entrance examination but can't gain admission in a unity school but some kids are admitted from Sokoto with 10 score? How do you convince the father of that child who lives in enugu to travel to lagos or kano before he could board a flight out of Nigeria?

You think the igbo man will be happy with the skewed system?

BDCs are productive sis.

If u are a banker as claimed answer the the question on why BDCs was reinstated when Bank failed. BDCs were suspended for 8 months and we saw hell in getting dollars from banks. Inflation rented the country. Then they had no other option to reintroduce BDCs.
Suspending BDCs won't solve anything as that option has been explored before but it was a massive failure and you are here still saying ban BDC.
You are not a good economist. Write down the list of possible solution and analyse the positive and negative effects in the economy, then choose the best options. Stop shouting ban bdc up and down.
I wish i had time to explain better to you but i have to go a pub and watch champions league final.

DryMouth:
You are not a banker....
Banks don't sell dollars to BDCs. CBN does through a third parties called CFS and Travelex.
CFS distributes to SW and North, while Travelex distributes from SS and SE.
When Buhari came into administration, he suspended BDCs and gave right to banks to handle forex activities but the banks failed hoefully, hence a call for the reintroduction of BDCs.

Suspending BDCs won't the problem of Naira it would only increase the unemployment index in the country(you shuld knw this as an economist).

If dollars is pumped in the forex market, that rate would go down. If u are following you shuld knw that before the COVID lockdown, CBN was funding to BDC 4 times a with at;
Mon - Tue = $20,000
Wed - NIL
Thur- $15,000
Fri- $20,000.

If u are aware when they were pumping USD like that in the market, BDCs were making jst N1/$ max and everything was going fine. Now the corrupt Emefiele used that COVID as an excuse that CBN doesn't have enough dollars to issue out again so he started making dollars scares in the country by giving BDCs jst $10,000 on tuesdays and thursdays making dollars extremely scares and expensive.

You shuld be calling for the sack of Emefiele not suspension of BDCs.

Dnt call for banning instead call for CBN intervention.
Hope you understand me.
Maybe because i started reply by calling you mugu, you thought I was the normal NL small boy.
Dnt lett me introduce myself wink
Emefiele is a lackey and being controlled by the present government. Give him free hand like Sanusi had or Soludo had he'll steer the economy proficiently.

In the absence of Buhari, Emefiele under Osinbajo was making that artificial intervention. Like I said if you create disparity in the function of forex values, all other variables free falls. Don't take this government excuse for anything, they don't have any economic blueprint to cushion the effect of disequilibrium arising from balance of trade and comparative advantage in oil.

He used this old archaic method of forex economics in the 80s it failed and he still reintroduced it in this age and guess what inflation!

Don't blame Emefiele, blame Buhari. If the government could close productive borders why can't they do away with BCDs?

Mugu!
You lack basic financial economic knowledge hence you are dull.
Why do other sane countries uses BDCs. mumu!
You can't even think beyond banning BDCs.
You want banks to have monopoly of power.

Why don't bank sell dollar inflows at normal price too? Abi is BDC the cause inflow hike too?
Nigerians lack financial intelligence.

You are a cow with no brain
Your fraudulent government approves BDC even though they're inconsequential.

I am an economist and a banker. CBN has authorized list of items they give dollars to and those are processed through the bank at the legitimate market rate leaving other Nigerians who need this dollars at the mercy of the "fraudulent " parallel market. That's disequilibrium and inequality in the market force of demand and supply.

The banks simply obeys the CBN directives to
pamper BDCs and says since the BDC can pay a little above normal average they hoard and sell to the BDCs too.

Now let me explain...CBN approves and mandates bank to sell to BDCs for says 395 naira and then set the exchange rate for 480 for ordinary Nigerians. The banks see the profit margins, hoards it and prefer to give the BDCs at the price of say 450 to maximize profit. Someone in need of dollar goes to the bank and the bank rather than release to him at the banking rate with little or no profit will simply tell him there's no dollar just to leave him at the mercy of the BDCs.

If CBN can give a uniform exchange rate to all forex exchange markets all the BDCs will go home.

They sell at 495.. go to a bank and tell them you want to buy usd, they will you they dnt have. They prefer to sell in the black market. So shut up! That is nt the solution to the problem.

Think of something else and be creative abt it.
Aturu!!!

Because the middlemen exist banks take advantage of that to do shady deals. Disband BDC acting as fronts for Banks and everything return to status quo.

I usually don't reply stupid people bereft of modicum of intelligence but let me condescend for the interest of educating the ignoramus.
Business › Re: Naira devaluation: BDCs get dollars at ₦393, sell for N494 by freshvine(f): 2:57pm On May 29, 2021
omohayek:
You are mistaking a side-effect for the cause. The reason the Naira slides in market-value isn't because the BDCs exist, but because the Federal Government, with the active connivance of the CBN, is irresponsibly printing money to cover the hole in its finances. This then turns into ever more paper chasing after a stagnant pool of goods and services, leading to high inflation.

The relative inflation rate is the main determinant of the exchange-rate between any two currencies, not whatever "official" rate a government decides it to be, and certainly not because a central bank is foolish enough to sell forex to middlemen at that official rate, leaving the middlemen to generate riskless profits by selling that forex at its true market value. If you were in business and your supplier decided to sell to you at below market cost, wouldn't you take full advantage?

It's useless to blame the BDCs for seizing an opportunity thrown into their laps - blame Emefiele's stupidity for creating the opportunity in the first place (as well as his spinelessness in acting as a money-printing machine for Buhari's government). If he abolished the "official" rate and simply allowed the Naira to float, all the BDCs would be broke overnight, and billions of USD in precious forex could be used for more important things. Unfortunately most Nigerians are financial illiterates who can't distinguish between causes and effects, so the scam goes on with the blame directed at the wrong parties.
You want the naira to "float" into 1000N for a dollar? grin

Disband these BDC and allow commercial banks to do the job of banking....forex exchange. Their operations are illegal.

1. Ikwerre local government area
2. Oyibo local government area
3. Omuma LGA
4. Etche LGA.
5. Ogba Egbema Ndoni

The following LGAs are the igboid groups.

1. Obio Akpor
2. Emuoha
3. Eleme( 60%)
4. Port Harcourt
5. Ahoada West ( 80%) the engeni people are few before the river bordering Bayelsa and across the River
6. Okirika ( less than 10%)
7. Ahoada East

The riverine people of Rivers state regards all those listed above as Ibos but the igboids denounces it based on acceptability.

I hope this clears all assumptions concerning Rivers state.
