afam4eva: I thought as much too. There's no way they would have gotten email addresses except they hacked into Nairaland database. I will start off with this wonderful yoruba adage "ti ogiri ko ba la nu,alangba ko Le wo nu re". English version"if the wall doesn't open up,the lizard wouldn't enter" meaning if you didn't post your email address in the first place the so called spammer wouldn't send u such or get your email. But this also do not dispel the possibility of some MODs doing likewise (spamming) NLers or even the possibility of the database been compromised(hacked). However, majority of the blame comes from NLers. This particular post said it all and this is just one thread out of several... https://www.nairaland.com/563015/shl-soft-copy Its was created December 6th 2010 and people are still asking to be sent a copy as at July 12th 2012. Most time in our desperation for knowledge, freebies, more information ecetera e sè to ra post our sensitive email on open thread so such information. People are even lucky that the so called spammers didn't go far to extract email address on their contact list cloning and sending malicious mails that you are in dare Need of financial support. A rule of thumb, never use the email you use as legitimate business contacts, online account reference contact mail or even official office email to receive information from either affiliate programs or freebies. Rather have a separate free mail that have no connection with your regular email whatsoever. Funny enough I used one of my funky email to request for the shl info. Politics / Re: Tension In Ogun As Muslims, Traditionalists Clash by frikuenci(m): 5:03pm On Jul 29, 2012 |
BetaThings: In case u don't know, the curfew is part of the custom and tradition of the oro festival. As such a non indegene sud stay clear of the open same applies to the women. Such traditions have been there for ages and like someone wrote earlier why can't they have just one day to observe their spiritual cleasing of their town based on their believe. For any other religion to have criticize them is an act of gross intolerance. Moreover wud the muslims there prefered not to have been informed before hand and put the restricted individual In danger(females etc). Give onto Caesar what is caesar's. Its their tradition. So its not part of Islam or Christianity to restrict movement as part of their own spiritual cleansing otherwise such wud be as crossing boundary for other religious beliefs. The curfew is no big deal. |

Politics / Re: Bakare's 'Election Before 2015' Sermon Full Text by frikuenci(m): 8:00pm On Jul 23, 2012 |
To all those that are still waiting for a summary, here u have it. Pastor Tunde Bakare, haven being a one time practicing lawyer knew the old and present state of our political system and offered a biblical truth in form of this piece and yet u still ask for a summary? Common, seriously u need to take GCE or A levels. To those who saw nothing wrong about GeJ tenure and yet castigate someone who is bold enough to table the truth before all. Which would u prefer, sit do nothing while government in the raw use of power bend the constitution to enrich there generation even the ones yet unborn. Nigeria has turned to a haven where practicing corruption in the open is the order of the day. If we are not observant enough let me point out this to u,THEY set up committee to look into the outcome of another committee report that another committee handled which was taken from another committee. This is a delay tactics to adjourn verdict. Also, do we notice as well that same government will put up a issue to distract the masses from a lot of major issues.eg. Subsidy removal,Unilag renaming to Maulag, Lawan vs Otedola drama, NEPA tariff increase. No one is saying anything about prosecuting the petroleum minister and all involved in the subsidy mess. No one is saying anything about the outcome of the findings of the committee set up to look into the killings of serving corpers during the election even the crisis that took peace temporarily from jos and most part of the north.and yet they buy off the bereaved families as if life could be compensated for in cash. PTB has gave his message and its left for all to filter the content and make do of the useful tips. The personality of the messenger shouldn't really interfere with the content of the message. I want us to ponder on this "God will not come down from heaven to change our nation, it is we humans that he will use".PTB is just one of such people. 1 Like |

This should be a summary of the thread title. It also depends on our own perception of the picture. Simply put, He's got a praying wife to watch his back while he protects his family against the world. That's a Real Man.

Kyke27: had 199 in jamb, 50 in postjamb, n b3,c4,c5,c6,c6. wat ar my chances in comp sci At this stage if u had 40> u av a high chance. Another condition is that you stand a high chance provided the genius in the department you are Applying to are few then ur composite should speak for u. |

Bashimi: I heard that those people dat score 40 and above are the one consider for admission how true is dat pls student of funaab in the house Get this once and straight. The statistics has it that about 37000 candidates pulled in for this years' Post-UME as against around 25000 that registered last year of which less than or equal to 3500 will finally make the admission list. Everyone is good and the competition for admissions gets more fierce.hence only candidates whose post-UMTE score is 40 and above I believe are being considered at the moment. To me the authorities are being fair enough. At this stage if u had 40> u av a high chance. Another condition is that you stand a high chance provided the genius in the department you are APpling to are few then ur composite should speak for u. But trust me when FUNAAB says there is a 2nd, 3rd or even 4th list, then there is gonna be those list.how they will do it,is none of anyone's business.so there is nothing prayers can't do at this stage. There is a list I Call 5th list. This is the favour list. Most time candidates in this list don't merit it but somehow God sees their faith and pure heart together with their genuine stewardship towards him.Admissions may even have started by the time it might be released. If u r sincere with ur self and grade and u av that level of faith this year will definitely be ur admission year. Said enuf already. Wish you guys the best.Never Lose Hope. Shallom. 1 Like |

English was the usual boring GMAT type passages after which you are to answer one or two questions based on the passage. Read up on the history of CBN, how many governors they have had, etc.Not feeling good about this one. You left out networking/protocols. And for the maths, its not like the profit and loss algebra. The test isn't numbered. you only see the time counts downwards till its over. All da best sha.just be urself. Never think the test will be postponed for heavy rain. Na lie.it surely will hold.
