You actually kept some one's daughter in your house without any formal marriage rights

Now you are not even capable of doing anything for the proper marriage to hold so that you can have her as a wife and son

this stranger in Ghana is not even an igede person, we don't know his identity, we are all confused right now because the person is not helping at all, he's even asking for money and he has threatened to bury Deborah's dead body if the family refuse to send him money from Nigeria in four days

The worst part now is that we don't know where he stays in Ghana, we don't have any information about the hospital and mortuary Deborah was taken to, we don't have anyone in Ghana that will assist us to track the phone number of this stranger and get him arrested.

This is a very complicated issue right now, Deborah's family don't even have any of her picture or passport both past and recent because I asked them yesterday.

They should go to Ghana High commission, make the report and plead with them to act along with the idiot that wants to collect money from them

Then he can send his account details and the Ghana authority can contact the bank and the money will be sent but when he tries to withdraw the money with ATM it will be displaying erro card

So he will be forced to go to bank to withdraw and correct his atm card issues

Meanwhile the whole bank branches will be informed about it and an alert for watch list will be placed on him

That's a sure way to get him yet the money is still safe and will be returned to the family

I only demand an explanation on why you changed my contact from "my world" to my name, the apologies can come later but she kept on begging that it was a mistake so I ignored her. Later on, she finally accepted that she changed it intentionally but could not recall why she did. I simply told her to think and get back to me then I ignored her chats while she kept begging and went to bed. Now I couldn't sleep, I kept thinking why my fiance could pull such stunt and I've concluded that I might put our trads coming up this December on hold if I don't get an explanation on why she did such but another thought came to my mind that I should post here to see if I can get a better suggestion from experienced nairalanders. So assuming you were working in Abuja and got your car then and registered it there, does it mean that if you are transfered to another state you can't use the plate number, no it doesn't work that way

Now the agent said that he will never give me the key to the apartment unless I balance him the 10k.

I called the officer in charge at the ministry of women affairs and social inclusions, IBADAN and she asked me to come this morning, so I set out for the journey around 8:30am.

It's quasi 1:00pm when I got to the ministry which Is located beside the NDLEA office. Immediately I introduced myself, the woman (officer in charge) called the MIL that she should make herself, wife and children available at her office (the phone was on speaker) and I was asked to go and stay outside while she's attending to other people with similar issues. They demanded for #4k i.e. 1k for the letter and 3k for the delivery of the letter at BARIKA

When it's half past 3:00pm, they didn't show up as promised and the woman had to call the mother in-law again and this time around her phone number was switched off, my babies Mama's phone number was not available too.

The officer in charge then told me that there's nothing they could do, she then advised to visit the office of the NSCDC office around Mokola roundabout or SANGO police station. I opted for SANGO police station and she directed me to a policewoman.


I got to the police station and explained my predicament to the policewoman, who demanded for a mobilization fee, I left the police station with the promise to come back. Initially the policewoman was reluctant, saying they don't normally meddle in a matter being handled by the Social Welfare office but she later agreed to assist

My instinct told me to quickly rushed down to their family house at BARIKA, UI second gate, just to check if the MIL was at home or not. The MIL, babies mama and the kids were no where to be found, the door was under lock and key.

Somebody directed me to other family members who are mainly women (the husbands are dead). I explained everything to them with anger and frustration written all over my face. The eldest of the 3 women told that they would see to it. I told them my request that all I wanted is the enrollment of the children in schools and I took my leave

The cost of transportation within Ibadan (town service) is very high plus other expenses at the welfare office, all these gulped my money. I got to the bus terminal at OJOO and I was told that the transport fare to ILORIN is #6,500. I only had 4k left left in my pocket and this was y I was asking for a financial help on NAIRALAND but nobody came to my aid

I opted for ONE CHANCE (4k with AC) and while on the transit, a man bought 3 sachet water and gave me 1, when we alighted and had no means of getting home, I approached the man again and he gave me #500.. The man is working with a research institute in IBADAN but he's from Ilorin, his younger brother married my ex ( the girl is hails Agbaluku -Arigidi, Ikare -Akoko Ondo state). She's also a resident of IBADAN.


UPDATE

I just received a call from NSCDC office at Agodi, Ibadan. They asked me to come but I told them the complainant should give them to bring the letter of invitation to me in ILORIN. I want her feel what I'm feeling, I have to Ibadan 5 times and now they want me to come again. The NSCDC official was telling me that I shouldn't do that.

I told her I was stranded yesterday when I came.

Who's to blame for the communication gap

I called the officer in charge in Sunday to confirm, affirm and reaffirm before embarking on the journey on Monday morning (5th May,2025). She asked to come and I obliged

My wife gave a copy of the letter to NSCDC Agodi and I was called yesterday. The date on the letter as confirmed by the NSCDC is 6th May, 2025 ( Tuesday ) and not 5th May, 2025 (Monday)

While at the welfare office, they asked for money both for the letter and the delivery of the letter ( 1k for the letter and 3k for the delivery at BARIKA). I paid for the letter and promised to send the 3k to the UBA account provided. But when I heard that date is 6th and not 5th I decided not pay the 3k for the delivery.

The officer in charge have been disturbing me with calls to pay the money.

They want me to pay for the service poorly rendered, they are asking me to pay for a job not well done.

I was supposed to travel to IBADAN on Tuesday and not Monday 5th

I think you have suffered enough and it's a deliberate act so before they will push you to depression

Just forget about her and thr children for now, start a new life and move on with your life before you die if getting a life for those children

I started a backyard poultry last christmas. I made some money not even to the breakeven point cos I lost some birds to hot temperature. early this year I purchased 10 chicks. I raised them in cage. unfortunately I lost 4 to ants. the cage was mounted by soldier ant (yoruba's call them Erun)

after waking up that morning I quickly went to check them because it rained over night. those ant move in squad. I have to kill them with petrol.

please how can i avoid this in future. because I'm planning to start in large quantity. we moving to our farm land soon and its surrounded with bushes

I have such experience in my cage though the birds were for family consumption

In the cage, the first layer was for Agric bird,

the second layer was for native fowl that had her new chicks, they are smarter and can fight any threat to their chicks

and the third layer was for turkeys

So why i added local fowl is because they are smart and can escalate any danger by making noise to alert you

So when those ants came and was biting them, it was the noise of the local fowl that attracted us and it's always at mid night

Even when snake entered the cage, it was the local fowl that drew our attention

The Agric was just there doing nothing as they are not smart by nature

The turkey was also making noise as it was responding to the noise from the native fowl noise

But I discovered that, the bush next to me was where they came from, so for me to survive, I have to clear that bush which I was not ready for

I have so much vegetables in my backyard from my sack and buckets that women in the compound are now enjoying it more than me, but I am happy seeing them harvesting from my Ugu and spinach leaves and making soups for their families.
I mixed my soil with animal dung compost I bought from people growing flowers before planting and it produces lush green vegetables.

I bought one bunch of Ugu seed in Kogi state pictured below as I was passing through the state for N1,500 and it contained 98 seedlings, something they sell N200 per seedling in my area.

My wife used to complain that vegetables has become too costly in the market, so I decided to try this sack and buckets farming, now we have plenty of it and she complains that she no longer like the smell of Ugu and I have to beg her to put some vegetables in our food, its hard to please that gender
