What if he sold normal price to oduah,or a middle man oduah used in the transaction who might have inflated the price to raise eyes in oduah case,this man clearly state that , government later use middle men so as to inflate same price but to him,he sold normal to such middle men with been involved with the corruption..a consultant company can procure and increase there price as a fee which inflate it and u can do nothing about it

What blew up the Odua scandal was the cost of the two BMW cars.

The cars were grossly overinflated and paid for by NCAA directly to Coscharis motors.


The National Assembly set up a committee to investigate the costing of the vehicle and had already contacted the original suppliers abroad to furnish how much they supplied the cars to Coscharis motors.

Coscharis motors had also used a govt approved waiver for another procurement on behalf of Lagos state who had applied for such to bring in the two BMW cars.

This is important because with that misused waiver, Coscharis did not have to declare the original cost of the vehicle to customs .


This is why the NASS committee had to contact the original supplier on the cost paid for the vehicles from where it was established that the vehicles were grossly overinflated during billing.

When confronted on why Coscharis was billing the NCAA at a ridiculously over inflated price, that was when Maduka opened up and said it was requested by NCAA officials involved in the procurement process.

So why is Maduka now forming a saint with the case of Plateau state ?

Was it after the scandal broke concerning Stella Odua and the bullet proof BMW cars that he realized he can get into hot soup with the law ?

And why did he not reference this Stella Odua case which he was central to?

Why leave it out when we knew of Stella Odua's case and not this Plateau state incidence.?

Cosmas Maduka was a central figure in the Stella Odua BMW scandal


He testified that he had inflated the cost of two customized bulletproof BMW SUVs on the request of officials in the NCAA who were acting as proxies to the then minister, Stella Odua.

The Senate committee later questioned Maduka on how and why the two vehicles got an import waiver from the FG.

He claimed the vehicles were originally intended for the Lagos state govt who had placed an order on the vehicles to be used for officials for a Sports festival games Lagos state was hosting.

Lagos state govt will later deny that they had ordered the particular vehicle .

So from what I understand so far, Maduka had swiped an import waiver for another set of cars to bring in the two BMW cars into the country without paying a dime and had marked up the price of the car significantly which he billed the NCAA.


Note that the Senate committee members scrutinized the cost of the car from the said suppliers abroad and could not reconcile the cost Maduka had billed the NCAA.

Maduka had as his only defense that the NCAA officials had asked him to inflate it to which he obliged them.

Now he comes out 12ys later to tell us how he refused to inflate the cost of another set of cars being ordered by officials linked to the Plateau state govt.

Why did he not recollect his own role in inflating the cost of two BMW cars that arrived Nigeria with a faked import duty waiver ?

Well, the ammended law which the Supreme Court relied on says only an aggrieved party member can challenge the emergence of the party's candidate based on this provision.

As per Obi, he was the only candidate for NDC who got their ticket unopposed.

I am not sure if a nominal complaint can be made by the ADC excos since Obi was included in their register which they submitted to INEC.

ADC can argue that Obi defecting to NDC after his name had been included in their register and submitted to INEC should not be allowed to contest on the platform of the NDC as this goes against the very core of what the relevent section of the ammended electoral act seeks to address which is serial party hopping when a ticket from one party is not gotten by a party member.

ADC can argue that they remain an aggrieved party following Obi's defection and securing of a presidential ticket on the NDC platform as it will affect their chances at the polls .

Maduka forgot that there are people with long memories who recalled that scandal before coming out to give us another account (which nobody asked him) involving what he claims was a Plateau govt official requesting for the vehicles they wanted to purchase to be marked up.

Why is he claiming saint when no one asked him to when it involved Plateau state (which we are yet to even confirm with his vague assertions) but was ok in proceeding to increase the cost price of vehicles involving Stella Odua?

Let him be bold enough to mention the particular state governor of Plateau who made this request .

The OP has made a very strong case of duality and double standards on the part of Coscharis motors involving Stella Odua's inflated invoice and that of the Plateau governor's case.
