The ammended law used to convict Kanu did not set aside the original law that Kanu was arraigned for.

The law states clearly that the new amended law will not halt any ongoing proceedings or set aside any convictions of the previous law which the amended terrorism and incitement law had come to replace.

The ammended law only broadened the net and explicitly stated that it upholds the previous tenets of the old law.

The amended terrorism and incitement law did not abrogate the previous law but only expanded it's definition.

Kanu was earlier arraigned on the old ruling which had been replaced by the new law.

The prosecution did not seek to amend the charges before the court because the new law explicitly stated that ongoing cases before a court can proceed on the old law and all previous convictions stand.

My friend , criminal appeals are heard on a first come, first serve basis.

Nnamdi Kanu must wait his turn.

He is now a convict at the mercy of the Justice system and no longer a free man with full conditional constitutional rights when he was standing trial before Justice Omotosho.

The Appeal court is even most likely going to even impose the recommended capital sentence sef.

If Kanu is smart, he will drop his appeal and focus on getting a presidential pardon from Tinubu .

As long as he is in court appealing his sentence, the President can not grant him a pardon.

A debt driven inflation will see to lending rates in the US domestic market spike. Majority of Americans can't do without their credit cards , so that means they will be paying more to service their debt which will eventually affect everyday cost pricing . High prices and dollar devaluation sees to lower purchasing power which leads to lower consumption . A lowered consumption in a highly consumption service based economy will see to massive job cuts .all these wol affect profit margins which will send a signal to the gamblers in Wall Street that all is not good leading to a major crash of the markets.

So in a nutshell, Japan liquidating all it's US debt is sure to see to IS treasury bills spiking well above it's current 5% margin recall.


But following Bessent's threat to Japanese officials that the US won't allow the Japanese to liquidate their debt holdings , a Japanese officials has responded to Bessent's claim of the US being the casino that can't be broken by saying Japan will do a massive rug pull on the IS treasury bills and nothing the Americans can do about it.
