Nigeria needs to revisit the one way extradition agreement it has with Western countries and the United States in particular. For the most part, the United States has refused to recognise the jurisdiction of the justice system of other countries over its citizens. It is baffling why Nigeria accepts a one sided arrangement where Nigerian citizens can be transferred to the US for crimes against American citizens but American citizens do not have to answer for their crimes here in Nigeria.

The Chinese and the North Koreans certainly will never give up their citizens to be tried in the US. And these countries are where most of the cybercrime in the US comes from.

If the Americans don't allow their citizens be subject to the justice system of other countries then it is only fair that the favour is returned.

The US does extradites it's citizens but only with countries it has signed an extradition agreement with.
