Innoson has also continued expanding its industrial capability. In 2021, the company commissioned additional production facilities for small/mini buses and sedan vehicles, alongside the automated robotic paint-spraying system. The company stated that these facilities had a combined production capacity of 32,000 vehicles annually.

There is an important distinction, however: not every component inside an Innoson vehicle is necessarily manufactured in Nigeria. Like virtually every modern automobile manufacturer, IVM uses components and technology sourced from suppliers, including foreign suppliers. There's no single production going on in Innosun auto shed .

For one to have an indigenous car company at least there should be a chassis fabrication unit, metal shaping section, engine and transmission section, painting, upholstery unit, electronic wiring , painting and corrosion , etc .
