Note that the teachers were clamouring for Obi to pay Yaradua's #18,000 minimum wage which had already been overtaken by GEj's #30,000 increase. Anambra state civil servants were still collecting #8,000 minimum wage set by Obasanjo.

The medical practitioners were demanding that Anambra state adopt the recent minimum salary and allowances that had been passed for all medical practitioners that their national body had successfully gotten from the Minister of Health.

Another thing to note is that students in tertiary institutions had to drop out owing to the protracted strike and also the sharp increase in tuition fees Obi introduced

He increased tuition fees for all levels of state owned institutions but refused to pay the staff the basic minimum wage and used to pay them their existing salaries while they were on strike to force them to return to work.

The very poor could not afford his new increased tuition fees and had to withdraw their wards and send them out of state to states like Delta, Rivers and Lagos to enroll in free public schools there which also included payment by the state for WAEC and JAMB fees.

The Obi of Onitsha even lamented at the growing number of drop out school children who had to work in bars and dishonorable establishments following Obi's total disregard for the welfare of the very poor citizens of Anambra.

And what did Obi do with all that Federal allocations that weren't to both the state and Local govts in Anambra? He diverted it to his personal portfolio in the name of investment which the people of Anambra never saw a dime from it ever again.

The man even refused to conduct lga elections so as to corner the funds meant for them thereby denying LGA autonomy and diverting said funds from being used for the people.

This Obi deserves to be in prison serving a long sentence for corruption, theft and embezzlement and not to be a leading Presidential candidate.

But I don't blame him because if Anambra people had held him to account for all the funds he stole as governor and still being the ones pushing him to run as President, we won't have this vapid idiotes and hypocrite disturbing our collective senses with his duplicity and gross ignorance.

There must a federal government policy on road construction around the country. Such policies must be approved by the national assembly, and must encompass both roads done by the federal government, the state ls and even the local governments.
This is very important.
The policy must be enshrined as law and must come with decisive punishments for offenders.
Monitoring must be from the federal level..

We see state governors awarding billions of naira worth of road contracts to dubious foreign and local companies. Most of these roads have been done in recent pass, but have all gone bad recently. Government ms on different levels keep awarding contracts right left and center for same roads that have been done few years ago.. Most of the contractual sums are obviously over invoiced and highly inflated. We are even seeing situations where senators and ministers are allowed to award what they call "constituency projects".., mainly roads. No one audits the contractual sums. No one supervises quality stipulations.

A rejigged federal policy on roads must as a matter of urgency look at the reason why the country has spent so much on roads , while having the worst road network in Africa. It must create a section at the EFCC that should audit every single road awarded across the country. Such policy must classify roads based on standards, and must stipulate to specifics the quality of roads that must be built based on the different standardisation.

Most importantly, there must be a body of professionals that should be entrusted with the job of monitoring these roads periodically, both during construction and afterwards, to make sure that contractual specifications are met. There should also be hefty fines and punishment for administrators/politicians/contractors etc, who dubiously 8nflate contractual sums or do bad works for pecuniary reasons.

That's how you fix the road problem in Nigeria

The Zamfara State Government has awarded the reconstruction of the 108-kilometer Gusau-Magami-Dansadau road to Dantata and Sawoe Construction Company Limited at the cost of ₦81.2 billion.

That means Zamfara govt is paying ₦751.85 million for every 1 kilometer of road.

But according to the Nigerian road construction regulatory benchmark, the price is more than double what a road of that category should cost.

The official estimate for road construction in Nigeria puts the cost as follows:

- Standard Asphalt Roads (Single Carriageway): ₦350 million – ₦600 million per kilometer
- Dual Carriageway Asphalt Roads: ₦600 million – ₦1.2 billion per kilometer
- Rural Laterite Roads: ₦250 million – ₦400 million per kilometer

The Gusau-Magami-Dansadau road falls under the category of a Rural Laterite Road.

Using the highest regulatory benchmark of ₦400 million per km, the entire 108km project should cost ₦43.2 billion maximum.

Using the lowest benchmark of ₦250 million per km, it should cost ₦27 billion.

Instead, the Zamfara State Government signed the contract at ₦81.2 billion.

Breakdown: ₦81,200,000,000 ÷ 108km = ₦751,851,851 per kilometer

That is:
1. Almost 2x the highest standard for a rural laterite road
2. ₦351.85 million more per km than the regulatory upper limit
3. ₦38 billion more than what 108km should cost at ₦400m/km

In simple terms, Zamfara is paying the price of a dual carriageway asphalt road, for a rural laterite road.

The questions here is:

At a time when Zamfara is grappling with insecurity, hunger, poverty and decaying schools and hospitals, this award has triggered outrage.

1. Why is a rural road costing more than a dual carriageway?
2. What is the justification for the extra ₦38 billion above the standard rate?
3. Were due process and value-for-money assessments followed?

This is a clear case of resources being looted in the name of road construction.

We really need this road. But not at the cost of mortgaging our future. ₦751m per km for laterite? That is robbery."

Roads are critical for connecting communities and fighting insecurity in Zamfara. But development cannot happen when public funds are inflated and mismanaged.

With the regulatory benchmark already public, the burden is now on the Zamfara State Government and Dantata & Sawoe to explain to citizens why Zamfara people must pay double for less.

Zamfara people deserve that truth. And they deserve accountability.

China has even banned it's citizens from trading in paper gold instruments that is controlled by Western fiat institutions and instead directing them to invest in Chinese gold vaults.

And they are doing this by liquidating US treasury bills and other debt instruments issued by the US Treasury and most importantly they are not hiding it.

Normally, if a country wants to liquidate their debt holdings of another country , they usually do it subtly so as not to see to their investment crash over night as this will send a wrong signal to the market and cause a stampede towards the gates.

But China is liquidating US Treasury bills and bonds brazenly and they are buying gold with it from same western financial markets.

In 2012, China held up to $1.2 Trillion dollars in US bonds.

Today it holds just $625bn and has since stopped keying into US debt instruments.

China is now selling off US bonds and using the money to buy gold from the London Gold Bullion market.

They chose the LGBM because it's the only market that will accept USD and is fully part of the Western SWIFT banking system.

This last June , China bought 40 Tonnes of physical gold from the London Bullion exchange.

Note that China is now investing heavily in gold and most of that gold comes from the BRICS market with Russia and South Africa being the highest traders of gold for China.

Normally , countries holding sovereign debt of others liquidate their holdings gradually and through brokers in order not to cause undue panic on the instrument .

But China is not hiding the fact that it is selling US Treasury bills and heading out .

To me this is economic warfare being waged by China on the USD and it's debt market.

So the question to ask is: if China is dumping US bonds and the USD, what does this portend for the US bond market and what wider implications this will have on the overall US economy?

President Trump does not have to use the US military to prop up the dollar because the dollar is an important facility already for international trade which traders need as if no dollar, trading will be more cumbersome, more costly and etc. If the US move to stop them then they will move to another currency that is equally stable.

USD was foisted on the planet following Bretron-Woods agreement in 1945 after WW2 to make the USD the global reserve currency.

Europe was bankrupted by the war and the only country that came out stronger was the US because it's war time industry saw the US become the sole industrial power and the US was owed heavily war debt in supplying both Britain and Soviet union armaments and food during the war.

The US also insisted that all debt will be collected in gold and that all debtors must not only pay in gold but to maintain a reserve of gold with the US Treasury as guarantee for future US loans for rebuilding Europe.

Germany is not allowed to maintain its own gold reserves on German soil and when the Germans recently even asked to see their reserves held in Fort Knox , the Americans dismissed them from the facility.

The Soviets paid off their war debt in the lend-lease agreement signed with the US during WW2 in record time from the gold mined from the gulags.

Britain didn't pay off their debt to the US until the early 2,000s.

Britain was still doing WW2 rationing up til the 70s in order to pay off their debt to the US.

The period 1945 up till the late 50s and early 60s was the peak of USD in true value as it was backed by gold.

But with wars in Vietnam and Korea , the gold was running out and so that's when Nixon removed the US from the gold standard and tied it to oil sales. The US had entered an agreement with the gulf states to sell their oil in USD only and to invest same USD into the US stock market. This is the origin of the Petrol Dollar and the liquidity based economic model you know of today.

But the Americans got too greedy and kept pumping more USD into their economy than what was coming in from oil sales . And most of that fiat money went into buoying the stock markets.

Individual A borrows from a bank $1m and invests it in Company A in hopes that individual B will buy said shares from company A in future at a profit.

Add fractional reserve banking and you had an economy that relied on future earnings aka debt.

The system has gone so bad and brazen in it's manipulation that the US stock market is the only thing created by both God and nature here on this green earth that has continued to grow year in year out.

Nothing in nature and that created by man continues to grow .


For example take the NASDAQ Composite in 1999, the NASDAQ Composite closed 1999 at 4,069.31 on December 31, 1999 — up about 84% for the year, driven by the dot-com boom.

It is now 12X it's total value standing at over 25,000 and this is driven mostly by AI and other fictitious companies like Tesla .

This isn't a working economy but a gamblers den .

Now consider also that China just bought 40 Tonnes of gold from the London bullion market this past June.

Normally countries do not disclose their gold reserves for apparent reasons that it will only make them attractive for invasion and pillaging by others and we usually use proxies to purchase gold from the international market.

But China is now openly buying gold from the international gold market and they are doing it for two major reasons.

1. Because London golf bullion markets take USD and the transactions are done on western SWIFT exchange after china has successfully dumped US treasuries .

2. China is making it glaringly obvious that they are ditching the dollar for gold by making their transactions very plain for all to see.

Note that China buys most of its gold from Russia and from South Africa but those transactions involve BRICS nations and are outside the USD and western financial system.

China now announcing it is buying gold directly from western markets using USD liquidated from US Treasury bills and bonds is a signal they are dumping the USD and US market.

This guy has graduated and left school probably running deals because he looked so fresh when he came for his clearance about a year after. By the time he could run around the hall where I was so he could escape to the security post, he somehow tripped and fell. The moment he tripped, he shouted and in a split second, those three guys rounded him, dragged him by his shirt and tore it immediately, they now brought out guns, omor. I immediately ducked from my position to avoid being seen. One. Of them brought the gun to his chest and fired. I was waiting to see him bleed and die, it did not happen. That is when I realized he was cooked up in charms. They now dragged him to the back of that hall where I was and many other of the hit squad members immediately surfaced from nowhere and they literally killed the guy like an animal. They were my eyes and ears, telling me the positions of those waiting for me. It's graduation period and those days we celebrate it flying our colors and displaying from the campus to town and ended it in partying all night long. My Alora friend was graduating. I had my daughters come get me through the back of the auditorium. They were very many as they came with their friends while I knew eyes would be on me I took of my shirt, gave my smally, collected a scarf and wrapped my head i blended in with the girls and found my way to the middle of my Buccaneers friends. They understood the mission. Gyrating their way through the campus I was quickly placed in one of the cars. Na so I take leave campus safely.

I knew it wasn't safe no more so... I gats move but on getting home while chilling in my safe zone and planning my exit news came of a friend who was not so lucky. He was shot down while he was leaving his girlfriends house, In fact she was escorting him off when they rolled on him and emptied bullets on his body. Like how can you be that careless in times of war? I cried cos he was a good guy. I knew it was time to leave so I called my ears and eyes on the street to get a bus ready for me. I didn't even get home from where I was seated cos I knew they were watching. Another smally got my emergency small bag. While another navigated with me through a hidden bush path to where I would bust out and enter the bus straight to Benin. I got there and waited for the call that the bus is outside cos he boarded the bus to keep my space and when he got to the spot he would alight while I entered. That was how I was able to leave that town. And carry over baptized me that I couldn't contain on time which eventually led to a spill-over.

Funny enough who try set me up still died eventually but not that war. And I later got the ID of the monkey who pointed out my brother, this is someone even under my protection in Benin. One small rat. He never returned to school again and graduated himself early to avoid my wrath because I made it public what I would do to him. Last I heard his family took him abroad and he has never returned ever since.

As for this guy in the story he would have been better off in his original school than somewhere that close with his records while pretending he would never be spotted. That was a wrong move. He killed himself.

And we are asking ourselves why this country bend the way e bend.

What happened afterwards?

Anambra emerged as the best performing state in the South East in immunisation/polio eradication, earning a $1 million award from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The state had also remained polio-free for five years.

Peter Obi then added additional govt funding and channelled the award into building 10 maternal and child healthcare centres, mostly in Anambra villages.

What was the reason they went on strike ?

Was it not because Obi refused to implement minimum wage while increasing tuition fees ?

What did Obi use the school fees to do?

He refused to pay the teachers and only got them to stop their strike after being the first governor to implement the no work, no pay strategy to get them to return back to their duties.

This is the same policy GEJ used on striking lecturers and I am sure it was Obi that gave him that advise.

So here you have an obi who increased tuition in public schools, refused to pay teachers and staff the #18,000 minimum wage, never used the money from increased tuition to renovate or build any school and you are here asking about subsidy savings from Tinubu .
