There is a contextual truth to this assertion. Illiterates and Semi-literate folks across all the major ethnic groups in Nigeria are just as 'tribalistic' as the others (although Igbos and Hausas on this level tend to be more 'accommodating' on a social level than Yorubas, for real).
No wonder Jos and Kano are better places for Ibos to do their business than Lagos and Ibadan.

Thanks for the analysis. Very insightful, yet very detribalized post.

I think we also need to arrange a burial for bkbabe, just like it was done for Ojukwu, or better still burn the a$$hole in effigy. grin
Really?

To me, I really dont know who is greater, Bkbabe or Ojukwu.

Prolly Bkbabe, he seems more coherent and thoughtful than Ojukwu.

Well, she grew up poor, and, unlike you and other middle class Nigerians, she never had the privilege of eating the kind of meat Becomrichn is talking about. The only meat she was exposed to were the ones you cant swallow. She had to kneel down to have access to them. And, even at that, she was only allowed to munch on them, and occasionally, very rarely, she gets some, between 4-5 inches long,  she could gag on, producing copious saliva in the process.

Yeah, she led a rough childhood. Poor Tpiah!

PS: When Tpiah said 1.5 inches is too small, trust her, she knows what she is talking about.
PoliticsRe: Buhari/ Bakare 2011 Ekiti State Volunteers And Supporters Forum by fstranger3(m): 7:25am On Feb 25, 2011
There are only 750000 registered voters from Ekiti State, most of whom are poor, the elites are ensconced in cuckooland overseas, and the rest, at least those who show some interest in Ekiti affairs, are largely misinformed; hence, on election day, turn out from Ekiti would be very low, prolly in the 300-500 range, as usual. grin

This is highly unnecessary. In the grand scheme of things, Ekiti, being the laggard state of the SW, is not that important. Actually, not important at all.

He could have handled himself better, like Dimeji did.

For an Hausa man, I have no qualms.

What is Jonathan's Yoruba name? So far this is what we have:

Slave Name - Jonathan Goodluck
Ibo Name - Azikiwe
ND Name - Ebele
Hausa Name - Babangida Jnr

To complete the WaZoBia tripod, we need to know his Yoruba name.

Thanks

They are NOT viewing the use of those names as a proclamation of ethnic identity. If I adopt a 100% Hausa first and last name, how does that make me ethnically Hausa? How does that mean that my children will be ethnically Hausa?[/quote]But why would you do that if you are arent one or do not view yourself as one. Why would you do that day in, day out, generations after generations if there isnt some sort of linkage, either through direct or partial descent?

Yeah, troublesome? Yes. Scammer/dishonest? Hellz NO

I'd rather wash toilet for White people than scam some one. Someone just told me about this Theseeker guy, pathetic.

In my books, any work is good work, ole/laziness/scamming lo b'omo je.

I dont even know where all of this is coming from.

Tpiah, are you this hateful in real life that you have to compare me with a scammer just to get back at me? I take my integrity seriously you know.

I'd appreciate it if you could. henceforth, ignore my post and I do same for you. All these, very hateful, attempts at soiling  and maligning my reputation and character, I do not appreciate it at all. Me, I am just having fun, but it seems you are taking it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously.

70% of people living in Lagos and Portharcourt are Ibos. It's a clear fact and we are going to take over the administration of these states(cities) in the nearest future.
I like your optimism

But why not now?

And isnt 70% too conservative, I'd hazard Ibos make 99% of Lagos,No?

Thats not the only school in the state and they cant be ever where

Admit it or not, there are more schools in Lagos than any other state, and the allocations you are talking about is not just enough to go round
