thedsl: Guys! I posted about being denied an emergency request this morning. I just randomly said let me try and log into my CGI profile and lo and behold, December 18 was available. I’ve scheduled.
If you were denied, hurry and schedule too! When was that? No 2020 date available. It's still April 2021 |

GeoOla25: They just denied the second attempt, was told no reason , sometimes you might qualify and still not granted, that I should stay more in the scheduling page to reschedule for December dates that will be out soon . Did you attach sevis receipt and I20? What was your unique reason? Have you submitted your Ds160 form? |

Lete: Hellos bro, I hope u are a guy....anyways, I have the same issue. I booked April and then requested for an emergency date. I was denied today, so I called them, the lady that picked said emergency appointment chances are only once, if u are denied u can’t reapply. And secondly the MRV can be used twice, so don’t bother about the warning.
Then she said nothing can be done now, the only thing now is for me to keep checking for earliest available dates as some will be announced soon.
So as e be now Na God hand person Dey. Except u want to pay another $160 and start ur reapplication.
Na prayer I Dey like this. But I believe God will finish what He has started.
Cheers Can you still find the emergency request icon of the left said? |

Kateyy: VO ; Good morning Me: Good morning
v.o where are you going to? me I am going to ... uni located at .... to pursue grad studies in .....
v.o why did you choose this school me:Apartfrom being a nationally ranked uni, I contacted the office of the international student council to learn about the school and I got a warm reception, there’s a good blend of cultural diversity n d wheather condition is quite conducive. I reached out to 2 professors and the work of .... fascinated me and alights with my career aspirations
v.o who’s funding ur education? me: my parents
v.o Wat does ur father do: me: he’s a civil servant and runs his own buisness
v.o : tell me things bout your course me: I fumbled a bit n continued
v. o sorry u r not qualified for this visa Next time you will get it in Jesus name. But when asked why the school, your starting shows a desire for "living" in a loving country with a loving environment, and not going for study. You don't put the first thing last!!! tHe time you should have spent in describing the alignment of a faculty research area with your interest was used 'dilly-dally'. |

Please who do I say is my sponsor because it's a different name entirely that is on my DS 160 form. Thank you
Bowling Green State University no funding. Why can't your sister be your sponsor, instead? |

Peacock1234: Hello. Please could you post the email address?
Secondly, what are your thoughts around booking an emergency appointment in Abuja when you have already sent a mail to Lagos with no response yet. If Lagos calls and theirs is faster, would you be able to cancel the Abuja application considering they are 2 different locations and Abuja will be shown on the dashboard? Pls assist if you have any information around this Why don't you want to book Lagos? |

Buksss: Public service internships do not come with post employment opportunities because state governments agencies cannot file for you . But I like how you replied the person in question . Maybe! I'm just of the opinion that internship somehow screams "you will work". Most of this VO are not familiar with all the about 1,500 universities in USA. They are familiar with common trends like GA, stated amount of fund (NOT as some stated on his I20- 50% funding...I think you remember the post: It confused even the VO himself...). You should familiarize with common and acceptable things rather than ambiguous terms!!! The VO might not have time to think through for you... It's my prayer that the person will make it next time, in Jesus' name. Amen. |

Peacock1234: I’m not sure there is anything to learn from it cos you probably wouldn’t even know the reason for the denial Which is why the procedure in getting the expedited appointment is more important to me at the moment. But there you go
Visa Denied.
VO: Hi Pls pass your documents the way it was arranged for you Me: Hi. Good morning. (Passes them) VO: where are you going to? Me: University of Illinois VO: what are you studying: Me: Masters in finance VO: finance you say? Me: yes please VO: why did you pick this school Me: it has a graduate public service internship programme. (Then I went ahead to explain how the programme benefits me) VO: okay where do you work presently Me: I told him VO: how long have you been there Me: About XYZ years; precisely X years and Y months. VO: who is sponsoring you Me: My dad Have you travelled before Me: No VO: Married? ME: No VO: any kids? Me: No.
VO: okay I won’t be issuing your Visa. I wish you best of luck. The place you were asked: Why did you pick the school is the major question. Your starting doesn't really look perfect. Other things you Said might be good in your own hearing but might not be perfect too. Maybe you should do mock interviews with people next time. You will sureply get it by the grace of God. Lest I forget! You should have avoided saying internship. Internship means you are working and most internships come with possibility of post study employment. Even though, they have, you should have avoided it for the sake of a "NON IMMIGRANT VISA". So, that you don't make them to suspect you. But at latter end, you shall have it, by the grace of God. |
