See bros, doing Uber in obodo oyibo is a full time job. There people do ride share and cover distances that make them go on just one trip and net an equivalent of N100k in a day and go home to rest. Their land is vast and road networks is superb. Google map or wayze is their paddi as all roads are mapped accordingly.

Last year Wen I first joined this hustle...even if Jesus himself came down to tell me not to do it, I for tell m say no Wahala, Wen e don go, I go carry my Moto enter road...I was that focused! I made money! a little bit above average for my age. But the main reason I had to stop was I saw myself being comfortable doing it which is against my rule on every menial job I've ever done. YES! it's a menial job, but a VERY profitable one. I've been a cleaner, a security guy, but I was never comfortable or lost focus until I did Uber. The thrill of not knowing what to expect from the next rider, the daily income and most importantly my love for driving ALMOST made me forget what I wanted for myself. I finally stopped with a bad car, Overconfidence higher than the sum in my account and my little business idea.

After plenty mentorship, I started my Shortlet leasing sumtime in January ending I guess, had my first client in March after many taughts and regrets over leaving uber but the joy and fulfilment I had doing this was something I couldn't describe.... Soon had my first client in march I guess..It was just a 3day booking with 10k markup making 30k, the client then introduced me to one of these skit guys on IG the next week, another 3day booking anoda 30k ..all the calls and payments were from my house that very day..there and then the taught of Uber vanished and I remember posting my account for sale and unfollowing the thread that same day this 3day-max 14day booking sequence continued till May. On one of my networking afternoons (I Neva joke with networking) after church..one of our church leaders told me his firm needs my service for their expat coming in. Chinese dude came in late may, to stay in our UAR for 10months while I marked up just 7k (I no go do ogboju for church member na ) So here I am, earning 7k as soon as the clock hits 11:59 while still aggressively sourcing for other clients and leasing for return clients as well. Lets not even talk about my female counterparts in this line of business with deals like this in 5's and above.


So to my Undergrad bro, Lagos, as small as it is, is a land of many opportunities. Uber is one of them, jobs(and I mean GOOD JOBS) , Comission based services, Businesses, e.t.c I'll advice you buy the car, but don't buy it with the intentions of driving for Uber Full Time. There's more out there for young guys like us! I may hv found mine, but can you find yours?

That's the issue boss...I can net that 200k in a month without doing basically anything. The Uber stuff is profitable, lets not deceive ourselves with plenty long talks.

I wanted to do a feasibility study for one week..which is more profitable btw Uber n my usual hustle. But for the stress Uber is offering to my car and myself while offering the same net figure I usually get on a not so bad month, I would rather stick to my hustle which takes nothing but little effort, right connect, and God's grace but keeps my car n human body in good shape.

I resign again on Sunday 11pm, To work only Friday Night, Saturday & Sunday from Next month - December.

Personally, I noticed that most riders think that there are entitled to your car (service) simply because they're paying. So they feel that they can make stops whenever, wherever and however (some times without pre-informing the driver) they deem fit. Or that they can carry the entire Oshodi/Gwagwalada as luggage or cargo and expect you to fit it in your car trunk or boot. There are some that feel that it's their right- you must wait for them for 30mins to 1hr. Maybe Bolt need to do rider's orientation too. They need to remember that while the money is theirs, the car belongs to the driver.

This happened to me today...I picked up one lady and her grandma from Yaba heading to ikoyi..I don already set destination to my house...so at least I'll hv company Wen crossing 3MLB.

So I was sitting at KFC in Lekki Phase one this morning, just about one hour I saw almost 10 of these Moove Match box cars drive by. And I taught it was just Suzuki until I saw IVM logo in some of them..I wonder why our Nigerian car makers copy designs of other companies, even the IVM that looks exactly like the G-wagon annoys me

But personally, I think this is the best Marketing strategy than spending millions on BBN whereby the winner isn't even proud of driving the car after the show.

But in terms of hustle, I see the car suffering the same fate their 2017 corrolas suffered and maybe even worse cus that thing looks like what will summersault if u go beyond 80km which is considered slows for some drivers.
