Many of you do not know how these things work. Politicians pa for these interviews. Atiku must have paid extra to get the crew to his house. if it's not that, then it is on health ground which is mor money too. Buhari goes to their studios or is Atiku bigger than him. |
Bvlgari:PDP propaganda. APC is not dumb to give Garri. They did it in Oyo state against Adelabu when they went to Bodija market to distribute Garri and Kulikuli. Unfortunately for them, this is a biot late. |
Professor Jibril Aminu, former education minister and cerebral alumnus of the University of Ibadan medical school, once stated, without apology, that he is first a Fulani, then a northerner, then a Nigerian, and finally a medical doctor. I also affirm that I am foremost a Yoruba man, then a Nigerian, and finally a Christian. In the current situation, I would have preferred a Muslim-Christian ticket, but only if my religion comes before being a Yoruba man. To be honest, choosing Shettima as Tinubu's VP reeks of insensitivity and anti-Christian sentiment, especially given that Muslims hold most important positions from the North, particularly the Fulanis, but sentiments do not win elections. Furthermore, the only way to alleviate this marginalization is for another tribe to gain power, which he will not achieve if his political calculations are incorrect. To make political calculations, let's go back a few weeks and review the APC convention and how Tinubu became the party's presidential candidate despite the fact that his Yoruba brothers and mentees sent him under the bus. The Norther APC governors' unanimous agreement to cede the presidency to the South, and thus to Yorubas and Tinubu, was obviously a game changer. Tinubu's presidency would have died long ago without that support. Isn't it reasonable to expect these northern governors to have a significant say in who becomes Vice President, and, to be honest, do we expect them to choose a Christian when they are all Muslims and their region is predominantly Muslim? Some wonder if the North is devoid of capable Christians. Yes, but do they have the political clout to win elections? And in this game, winning is everything, but what you do with your victory is another story. El-Rufai changed the template. Even though many have reservations about what Rufai has done with the victories in Kaduna, the results of the elections there have not been affected. It's all a numbers game. Obasanjo and Jonathan, both Christians, ruled for approximately 14 years. What impact did this have on the economy and the average Nigerian? Osinbajo has been Vice President for eight years; what impact has he had on the country's religious crises? He only went to Owo to commiserate with Christians because he wanted to run for president. This is about who the person is, not where he worships. By the way, when did religion become a factor in Yoruba electoral victories? According to the most recent count, there are four Christian-Christian tickets in the southwest, and the Muslims did not bring the walls down. If Tinubu had chosen a Christian as his running mate, there would have been more outbursts of abuse and vulgar language than there are now. Many Northern Muslims would have resigned, as have some disgruntled Christians. I don't envy Tinubu in this, because even with Shettima, some Northern APC governors are unhappy, but a choice must be made, and we can't have two vice presidents. Whatever decision he makes, he will make enemies, and the truth is that many of those abusing him are doing so to dispel religious sentiments against him, knowing he has made the politically correct decision. The decision has been made; now let us see what the future holds. But I have a message for the Yorubas. According to a friend, Baba Olu Falae once told him that the worst Yoruba man will serve Yoruba interests better than the best from anywhere else. Yorubas will have to decide whether they want the ticket or the presidency. They will decide whether an Atiku or Obi is better suited to their needs than Tinubu. You can delude yourselves by claiming political sophistication while abandoning your own. We are not going to beg anyone. . Bowo omode o ba te eku ida, ko le bere iku to pa baba e. m00r1759:Thanks. What is Cgi? Will i be able to keep my interview date? |
sholatech:Thanks. I forgot to attach this portion of the appointment confirmation letter. See the marked portion. They asked me to bring photo and still said they won't entertain those with unloaded photo. i thought they should not have accepted the application if they would not entertain applications without photo. What is the experience of those with this issue who were in the embassy recently?
|
My daughter completed my Visa application for me and could not get the passport photo uploaded. Embassy had retrieved the application and no way to upload the right passport which I have gotten now. Now, I heard, they will turn those with unloaded passports back, but on the confirmation they asked me to bring 5cm X 5cm passport to the interview. Those knowledgeable in this, please advise. |
many of you do not know what is on ground in Ekiti. You are not even giving pdp a chance. you will be shocked. |

I wrote this in April. With the conclusion of the APC primary today, it appears the grasshopper has broken the second hind-leg. I am reposting it for readers who missed the first article. Happy reading. The Grasshopper Has Broken His Hind leg. In the world of winged animals, there was usually a dancing competition to choose who would head them. . There was a hawk on the throne, assisted by one grasshopper nominated by his senior brother, another hawk. Time was for the hawk on the throne to leave for another winged animal to take over, as the headship was by rotation. They asked the assisting grasshopper not to compete on the stage with his senior brother, the hawk, who was also interested in heading the colony. At first, he was going to be a good winged animal, but some little flies goaded him on just because they also have wings. One of them was a little grasshopper, which is actually a jumping bug (Alamutoto) by name Odujo. This bug and other flies like houseflies and mosquitoes, spurred the grasshopper on against commonsense and morality. Morality and good upbringing (omoluabi) capitulated to greed, treachery, ingratitude, and perfidy. The grasshopper entered the dancing floor. On his first attempt to dance, he made a long tue-tue (microphone testing), as Fuji musicians are wont to do when they want to start a show. In this frantic effort to impress the spectators that he could dance better than his senior brother, Hawk, he broke his hind leg. Gush, the senior winged animal, winked and wondered with what will the grasshopper dance again. Eni a wi fun, baba je o gbo. Jide Omiyale (SME Expert and Amateur political analyst)
