Your agent is right. Mimiebrown: Greetings to all the veterans and every contributor to this thread. Please, I need some suggestions to my case. I am a pharmacist, seeking to apply for masters in AUSTRALIA, I would need a few suggestions as to masters programs that I can look into, to increase my chances for PR. I got masters in public health, I was advised against it by my agent, as it would not enhance my PR chances. |

Lol...2-4 weeks for student visa ? ?? Well, you can easily check for the processing times on their page and it'll show you how long take. Keep praying too, God can intervene and make it faster. Gbaos: Why is AHC Pretoria taking so much time to process Australia Student visa for Nigerians.
Initially I heard it takes just 2 to 4wks to get student Visa but now it is not so again
I am currently at the 5th week yet no single response from them.
Is anyone having similar experience?
My lectures started yesterday, my school has given us grace till 5th August after which we should defer.
I am really worried |

Griffith almost did me strong thing too. Submitted statement of account and GTE docs and the wait game began. It was when it wasn't forthcoming I sought for another alternative and I'm now in Australia. Please don't put your eggs in one basket with Griffith. Don't know why they are like that. Oviebright: Good morning. Please how long does it take Griffith to give go ahead for payment, of tution fees, after submitting bank statement to them. Please if anyone has gone through that process let me know, because my agent told me at most 2 months, the program commencement: July but he's already deferred, and I'm yet to get a updated LOA. |

You have the right to make your decision and choices. Defer it. Jemiimaa99: Like I’m so confused. I on the other hand thinks it’s going to slow my visa application. Like that will be the more reason why they can insist I can do the course online and then won’t hasten my application.
But the agent is suggesting I start just one subject.
Has anyone else experienced this |

Thank you. Pass did you do covid test? I heard they don't require pcr test before tou enter Australia. Were you asked for your test at the Nigerian airport? Thank you Razgas: I didn't pack food. My covid certificate was ready and in pdf form when I filled the DPD |
Travel › Re: Living In Australia/life As An Australian Immigrant by Fumpat: 3:54am On Jul 03, 2022 |
Please did you do coved 19 test before departure? Also, how did you pack foodstuffs? Did you have any problem with it at the border? Thank you. DrCollins218: My Australian landing gist and experience so far.
I arrived Australia on a PR visa through Qatar airways. It was a smooth scale at the border control apart from filling the long covid forms and entries.
I was picked up at the airport by a Senior Brother whom I have been living with and his family since my arrival.
Settling down in Australia as a new immigrant isn't easy especially getting used to a new system.
In terms of jobs, there are many jobs here that can fetch one good money both in the blue and white collar industry.
I got my first job in May and I have been enjoying the experience. Over here, people don't joke with time. If someone living in Australia spares sometime to respond to your questions, you should appreciate it because everyone is busy and on the move constantly.
I didn't understand this till I arrived.
Disability support worker jobs are everywhere in Sydney and they are heavily short staffed. In fact na dem dey beg you to come and work.
Disability support worker jobs can fetch one a good 3k dollars per forth night if you pick good shifts.
In terms of getting a professional job, it's very difficult because most companies won't employ someone without Australian local experience. For instance, if you a construction engineer, breaking into the construction industry is very difficult without local experience.
In terms of mobility, you will need a car, in fact most jobs will ask if you can drive, drivers license, car insurance etc.
Besides, having a car in Australia is a necessity not luxury. You can't get around without a car because everywhere is far from each other. I have spent 8 weeks here and I thank God for bringing me to the beautiful country despite the challenges of settling in.
If you have any questions please do ask me and I will be happy to respond.
Thank you so much and happy weekend. |

Please for those who recently travelled to Australia, how did you fill the DPD? Trying to fill it on my phone but I've not been able to scan my covid certificate. The app keeps saying invalid certificate. How did you do it please? And for those that packed foods, how did you do it and was anything seized? Razgas and Co, please kindly answer. |

I didn't submit statement to the immigration but I submitted to the school. It's compulsory for all schools. You can present 15M and above. 15M is the least amount you can present. Oviebright: Did you submit statement of account? And if you did. What was the closing balance. I know it's confidential information. |

Biometrics 22nd April S56 27th June Grant 28th June I applied for the visa myself (I used an agent for the school admission). After I got my COE, I applied myself and God crowned my efforts with success. I only submitted the documents that were asked on the checklist and handed over everything to God. You can do your own research further but normally, you are supposed to provide proof of fund for your dependents and also school fee for one year for your child(ren). So yes, I think it should be in your husband's account already. You can google the amount you're supposed to have for your dependents online. All the best. flakyyy4: Good morning all..i intend going to Australia with my family... Presently awaiting offer letter from Griffith Uni. My dad is my sponsor with the proof of funds already in his account(school fee & expenses) What's not clear now is whether there will be a separate proof of funds in my husband's account for himself and our kids. I anticipate your quick response, Thanks. |

That shouldn't be an issue. If it's getting the COE will be long, you can always defer to another semester. Oviebright: My admission Letter for Griffith. Program commencement is July 18th but they didn't specify deadline for tution payment. I've read through the admission Letter severally no deadline. I'd like to know if anyone can shade any light on it. Because I'd have to make payment to get my CoE for visa processing. Please any response. |

There's no way you won't submit bank statement when trying to apply for visa in Australia. Either the school asks or the embassy asks. The schools are now strict with who they give COE to so they now scrutinise. It's just that their own scrutinisation may not be as difficult and thorough as the immigration own. As for your other question, you can get the answers if you make the research on the internet. If Griffith has given you admission, you should know how much you're to pay for your school fee as it's always written on the offer letter. All the best. |
Travel › Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Fumpat: 3:08pm On May 25, 2022 |
Haha. What kind of agent is that?? You pass your GTE first BEFORE you can even proceed with anything. It should be written on your offer letter that you should not proceed with payment until you're cleared for GTE. Please ask further and be sure please.
I stand to be corrected tho.

From what I've heard from people who recently travelled, just make sure everything you're taking there is commercially packaged with expiry date and all. Sealed and with label....so they can track the country it was made from. With this, you can bring in anything. Also, check their border control website for more information. candycush: Please my people going to Adelaide, kindly share your border experience so people like us can know what foodstuff to bring and not waste money abeg..
Good day guys.. |

Fumpat: Leave it alone and don't stress yourself. It's written on their website that there are glitches. Also, if you hadn't provided it within the stipulated 14 days, your visa would have probably been denied by now. So again, leave it alone.
