repulse:
If Nigeria was a country were merit is regarded, there is no way Amaechi would have become Speaker not to mention Governor of Rivers State. I am one of those who will continue to blame the former governor of Rivers State for bringing Amaechi to the forays of Rivers politics. What we are seeing is the behaviour of a young man who was not able to manage the enormous wealth and power that he suddenly found at his disposal. Rivers State under Amaechi was heavily looted and mismanaged. This led to the financial collapse of the state. He owe Rivers people a duty to explain why those assets were hurriedly sold and monies diverted. We must forget politics and ask were and how did Amaechi get all the monies he used in sponsoring APC. What is his background outside politics. This petition as presented is detailed and the earlier President Buhari takes decisive action by allowing the EFCC do their job, the better it will be for his administration. Amaechi should be bold to come and clear his name as celebrating and hosting achievement parties are mere gimmicks to run away from the subject matter. Cunning men must not be allowed to pass as leaders if nation must move forward.
Okay

I bet this thread would have made FP it were to be a former governor telling us that he fasted and prayed for GEJ to lose the 2015 elections.

Or if some governors were wearing some native attire and accompanying PMB to Washington to meet Obama

The Integrity Group, has sent a well detailed petition of corruption against former governor of Rivers state, Chibuike Amaechi to President Buhari and the EFCC.

The allegations are so strong and detailed that you could say the Author is an accountant-lawyer.

This is what I can summarise from the petition:
1. Fraudulent sale of Rivers state power plants amount to over #60,000,000,000.00

2. Payment of over #1.5Billion to Collect Solution Nig Ltd for collecting taxes.

3. Non-remittance of funds recovered from sales of government assets to government accounts but rather to private accounts.

4. Breach of trust

5. Etc...

See the Group's sworn court affidavit in Port Harcourt High court as well as the petition below:

They are busy shuttling between Lagos, Abuja, USA and others with public money and yet owing their workers
PoliticsCan A Governor Really Do This? by fun4(op):
It is stale news already that so many state governors are owing public servants salaries ranging between 4months - 9months. www.ngrguardiannews.com/2015/06/23-states-owing-workers-says-labour/

So The Question Is This;

CAN ANY STATE GOVERNOR OWING SALARIES RUN HIS STATE WITHOUT BEEN PAID HIS MONTHLY ALLOCATION BY THE FG?

Imo state public servants just embarked on a warning strike yesterday and hear what the governor has to say;

“I want to appeal to workers in Imo State, especially
those concerned, to shun the strike at this time we
are trying to rebuild the entire State for the good of
our people,” he said.

“We did enter an agreement. I want them to respect
that agreement.”
www.post-nigeria.com/rochas-under-pressure-as-imo-workers-embark-on-strike/

On Silverbird Tv 10pm news yesterday, he even asked the workers to show understanding and I ask;

"Can he or any governor for that matter show similar. understanding with the FG when it refuses to pay them. monthly allocations?"

HEAR AREGBESOLA'S OWN REASON for owing 9months salary in Osun state;

"I have found it hard to pay the wage bills owing to the
declining federal allocation to the state. Federal
allocation to the state has reduced by 40 per cent since
2013, thereby making it difficult for my government to
meet its responsibilities,"www.lindaikeji..com/2015/07/why-i-cant-pay-workers-salaries-rauf.html

And I ask, "what ever happened to the remaining 60% for some 9months now?"

GOVERNORS REFUSED TO LISTEN TO CREDIBLE ADVICE FROM FG
Some of our governors are just incompetent and lazy to the extent that they anybody for their poor managerial skills as regards public financing.

FG gave them this advice LONG LONG AGO through the ministry of finance:

“Regarding difficulties in salary payments, certain
governors are trying to blame the Federal Government for their predicament. This is wrong. They had been told through the FAAC to prioritise salaries but they chose not to do so, hence the backlog that some states are experiencing."

“The 50 per cent drop in revenues simply means that
salaries should be prioritised. The Federal Government should not be blamed for avoidable mistakes made at the state level.”
www.punchng.com/news/govs-should-be-blamed-for-unpaid-salaries-okonjo-iweala/

CONCLUSION
Since a public servant has basic responsibilities to himself, family,ad others such as Health, Education, Security, Economic, Social, etc JUST AS the states; THEN HE WHO deprives them(owing state governors) of such should also be deprived.

PoliticsAPC: Saraki, Dogara Are Pro-pdp Leaders - We Can't Sit With Them by fun4(op): 2:21pm On Jun 11, 2015
The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives
Congress (APC), Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has described
the present composition of the leadership of the
National Assembly, the Senate headed by Senator Bukola
Saraki and the House of Representatives led by Yakubu
Dogara, as pro-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Mohammed, while speaking on Sunrise Daily on
Channels Television and monitored by PM News on
Wednesday, stated that the action of some of its
members over what happened last Tuesday during the
inauguration of the eighth National Assembly deserves
punishment.

“What we have in the Senate now is a pro-PDP Senate
which is not in the interest of our party. How do you
expect us to sit with Senators Ike Ekweremadu and
David Mark and discuss matters of national importance?

“These are part of the old PDP order we struggled to
defeat at the centre. So how can we (APC) then sit down
with them to discuss issues of national importance with
these people?” He queried.

When reminded that the APC
still controls majority at the National Assembly,
Mohammed stated that the National Assembly
leadership as currently constituted is an ally of the PDP,
“because it got its mandate through the block votes of
the PDP.

Remember there were only eight APC senators
who voted for Saraki.
“The balance which is 49 are from PDP. In the House of
Representatives, only 30 APC members voted for
Dogara. So you can see that the National Assembly is
pro-PDP.

“They even overreached themselves by naming David
Mark as the Senate Leader before they realised the
illegality of their action and reversed themselves.”
Mohammed stated further that in as much as the party
would not want to lose its members, those involved will
still be sanctioned because “the indiscipline should not
be allowed to go just like that.

If this is allowed to go,
then it means any member can perpetrate bigger
indiscipline and hope to get away with it.”

They own us. I'll give up on the government if they regard the report at all. Wtf is with the west? Using Boko haram yo terrorize us and using Amnesty intl to or vent us from fighting back?/( that's my own theory anyway, might be wrong). I'm forced yo remember George Carlin. Below is a statement from him.

Forget the politicians. They are irrelevant. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice! You have OWNERS! They OWN YOU. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought—and paid for—the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls.
They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want:
They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests.
That’s right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting bleeped by a system that threw them overboard 30 bleeping years ago. They don’t want that!
You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shitty jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street—and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you sooner or later ‘cause they own this bleeping place! It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it! You, and I, are not in the big club.
By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table has tilted, folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care! Good honest hard-working people; white collar, blue collar it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue—these are people of modest means—continue to elect these rich rooster suckers who don’t give a Bleep about you….they don’t give a Bleep about you… they don’t give a Bleep about you.
They don’t care about you at all… at all… AT ALL. And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that’s being jammed up their assholes everyday
Hmmm my fellow I just tire ooh!

This is the indictment Amnesty International put on the shoulders of serving and former service chiefs:

"Amnesty International has called on the Federal
Government to commence a “prompt, independent and effective investigation” of former and serving service chiefs for their responsibility in war crimes during the fight against Boko Haram in the North-East."

The organisation said that these crimes included the
killing of 8,000 persons, who were “murdered, starved, suffocated and tortured to death.”
......................................................................

And these are the reactions that Amnesty International, AI got from Nigerians.

• @Chidi
Amnesty international are bunch of fools. How many
boko haram elements did they identify for committing war crimes. Well, if that is the case,
Gowon, Ty danjuma, IBB , obasanjo and the nigerian
army should be held for genocide against the ibos.
