TonyeBarcanista: O boy you are so brainwashed by only God know who.
1. Rivers state agitation for its own province started in 1940 but the silly British would lump us together with the Igbos in East just as the Midwest were lumped. Same period Cross river started that. In fact, our agitation started almost same period with that of the Midwest.
2. The Igbo lead eastern region REFUSED to offer us referendum to determine our own destiny even when the agitation was high and when Midwest got theirs.
3. When Rivers was created in 1967(May), it was a dream come true for 99.999999% of our people. Ojukwu, his greed for power and quest for oyel and sea would not take it and declared his illegal republic on our soil. The talk of 'balkanisation' by Gowon is shallow, false and hypocritical.
4. Biafra Igbos should mind their business. If they can't get Biafra without the SS, they should FORGET it altogether. you and I are literally saying the same thing, it was during the war that division started, but I'm trying to refute the claim that cross rivers and rivers state was never part of southeast, at least before the war. And I like what you said Biafra igbos and not Igbos |
Politics › Re: Glaring Difference Between Igbo And Biafra by funkyibodude(m): 8:18am On Dec 29, 2015 |
nduchucks: Oga, TonyeBarcanista is very correct in saying that when Ojukwu declared is Biafra, he was Governor of Eastern state that excluded Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross river. Old Rivers and Old Cross river were already created by Gowon.
In February 1966, when Isaac Boro, Sam Owonaro and Nottingham Dick alongside their supporters proclaimed a "Delta Peoples Republic", biafra was not included in the said republic. On 27 May 1967, under the administration of General Yakubu Gowon, decree No. 14 was issued, allowing the creation of Rivers State. Ojukwu's Eastern region at the time of "secession" did not include Ijawland or modern day SS area.
The good people of Niger Delta fought alongside gallant Nigerian soldiers to defeat the secessionists. My Gull, there is no need to try to revise history, though we have come to expect that from you.
If you and the likes of Kanu want to lead Igbo youths on another suicide mission, be rest assured that the people of the Niger Delta will fight you once again. don't let your dislike for Igbos becloud your sense of history, when Ojukwu was the governor of the eastern region Akwa ibom (formerly part of cross rivers state before its creation in 1987) and rivers state were inclusive in the southeastern region, before the war the chief cities were porthacourt , Calabar, Bakassi Enugu umuahia and Ojukwu was the Governor of these cities, have you forgotten that Cheif Obafemi awolowo was jailed in calabar prison and it was Ojukwu that released him as the governor of the eastern region then. The creation of 12 states was a tactical move by Gowon government to land lock the southeast so that the won't have access to territorial waters And more so oil which was the main reason for the Nigerian offensive against Biafra.... As a pure Igbo dude I'm not in support of this current Biafra agitation but I believe strongly in Igbo independent movement, and that is regional control |

Christianity Etc › Re: Primate Ayodele And His Failed 2015 Prophecies by funkyibodude(m): 7:41am On Dec 29, 2015 |
blackfase: As is tradition, this is the season of prophesies and true to type, they have starting pouring in. Earlier today, one hit FP a la Primate Ayodele on what to expect for the New Year....>>>≥>> www.nairaland.com/2828312/primate-ayodele-unveils-prediction-201 .....but funnily, most of the ones made last year by the same Primate fell short in almost all ramifications as here presented...
*Jonathan would continue to rule till 2019.
In January 2013, he predicted that God showed him Jonathan would continue to rule till 2019. “The 2015 elections will hold but will be peaceful in some areas and not in other areas. As it is, from what I see at the moment, PDP will win, amidst serious criticism,” he said. Primate as he’s commonly called by some of his followers, foretold ahead of the 2015 election: “Kaduna is going to be very bloody. PDP may take Kaduna, but it’s going to be by narrow margin. Yobe, Gombe, Benue, Delta, Akwa Ibom, all those states will be won by PDP.”
RESULT: After the election, Kaduna was calm and not bloody. APC’s candidate, Nasiru el-Rufai, won the governorship election, beating PDP’s Ramalan Yero. Also, the PDP missed clinching Yobe and Benue governorship seats as the primate had predicted, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was defeated and he also made a phone call to congratulate President Buhari even before the final results were announced.
*2015 Presidential Elections
On the presidential election, the man of God had this to say about Jonathan: “This election is a lesson for him and there are still lessons for him to learn if he now gets it back. He still needs a lot of prayers. But in the midst of all the ups and downs, he may still have a very slim chance of winning the election. I don’t see any landslide victory at all between him and Buhari. At the end of the day, PDP will win the federal, but the party will crash after the election.”
RESULT: After the election, PDP, however, was estimated to have lost with about 2.5 million votes at the federal level.
*Jega will let Nigerians down
According to the prophet he also made a prophecy about former INEC chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega 'I predicted that (former Independent National Electoral Commission chairman, Prof Maurice) Iwu will be removed and it came to pass. Let me tell you categorically that (Prof Attahiru) Jega does not have a solution to election rigging in Nigeria. Jega will disappoint Nigerians' “Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega will be confused during the polls. There will be several gimmicks to cajole the INEC to rig the election. Prayers must be offered so that the commission will not lose some of its staff to accident or attack before and during the election. E-voting will not work. There will be ballot box snatching and stuffing during the election.”
RESULT: The direct opposite happened, Prof. Attahiru Jega performed exceptionally well and conducted one of the most credible election in the history of the country. Even when attempt were made to make Jega fail, he remained totally calm while Godsday Orubebe, a former minister of Niger Delta, disrupted the announcement of the election. Jega ended his tenure as INEC chairman a couple of weeks later.
*Glory of Lagos APC fading
“The glory of Lagos APC is fading except the party hierarchy makes hasty restitution otherwise time is not on their side as regards the governorship election. They have committed a blunder with the choice of Akinwunmi Ambode as governorship candidate. Only prayer can change the tide. PDP will spring surprises and shock APC. If PDP works hard, the party will win Lagos governorship; however, the party’s candidate, Jimi Agbaje, needs prayers.
RESULT: The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode was declared the winner of the April 11 election. Mr Ambode polled 811,994 votes, with the runner-up and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Jimi Agbaje, polling 659,788 votes. After the election results were announced, Mr Agbaje congratulated Mr Ambode in a telephone call. In a tweet on his twitter handle, Mr Agbaje said: “I wish him well and pray he will be successful in guiding this state”.
*Ebola will come back
The prophet asked Nigerians to pray against recurrence of Ebola in Nigeria in the year, saying there will be fresh cases of Ebola in the year while calling on those in the health sector to double their efforts.
RESULT: Since the WHO's representative in Nigeria officially declared Nigeria to be Ebola free on 20 October 2014, Nigeria remained free from the epidemic. However in October 2015, there were rumours of an Ebola outbreak in Calabar, Cross River State, the Federal Ministry of Health through Linus Awute, the permanent secretary of the ministry, said there was no basis for rumours of yet another outbreak of the virus. The 15 people – one doctor, nine nurses, four health workers, and one patient who were quarantined were discharged and certified ebola free. As at today, December 27, 2015 Nigeria is still a World Health Organization-certified Ebola free country
*Boko Haram will bomb South-west
“I see flames from bombings in several parts of the country, including the South-West and more abduction of school pupils. Efforts should be intensified by security operatives to forestall that. Boko Haram will come up with different strategies to attack the nation.
RESULT: The Islamist sect is yet to carryout any attack in South-west, Nigeria
*Anti-corruption war will backfire
Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele said that Nigerians should not expect President Muhammadu Buhari to achieve much in the anti-corruption war, stressing that the whole effort would actually backfire as several notable people, who are close to him would be indicted and thereby tie his hands such that he would not make progress. His words: “In probing Jonathan, Buhari will end up shooting himself in the leg. What I mean by that is that as he tries to trouble Jonathan, it will cause problems. He will only be able to hit corruption, but will not make much impact. In the process of the corruption battle, some people who are close to Buhari will be indicted. That is why I said that he would shoot himself in the leg. Buhari will make efforts to make Nigeria better, but his efforts will be frustrated by a cabal in his administration. He will step on many toes, but that would frustrate his administration the more.”
RESULT: The anti-corruption body EFCC have been more active under Buhari's administration, with with many prominent Nigerians and leaders currently investigated for collecting huge sums of money from the Office of the ex-National Security Adviser , Sambo Dasuki. So God is a Liar then? SMH |

excellencyabia1: IPOB Youths will soon arrive on this thread to tell us how they used to have 28 hours of electricity a day under Jonathan and how it has now reduced to 2 hours a day
The internet is now infested with jobless IPOB youths who have nothing better to do than create false stories and lies against His Excellency, General Buhari, the best Leader Nigeria has ever had.
There was a dip in electricity provision for some weeks but from my research, it has improved tremendously in the lead up to Christmas. The sector is still experiencing major challenges but what do we expect? When Jonathan and his bunch of IPOB advisers stole billions of dollars meant for infrastructure provision.
In my area, we have at least 17-21 hours of electricity a day. God bless Buhari
IPOB youths will die of frustration very soon ;
is this not an indirect abuse. How will you wish someone or group of people dead. guy get a life okay. You think everyone has time for this rubbish propaganda being posted here, many are thinking about 2016 and the challenges that lie ahead, you guys are busy creating nonsense thread and promoting your so called agents of change.. |

Here's my prediction for 2016 I foresee future terror attacks in Europe, America and Asia Boko haram would adopt new method of attacks especially in southern Nigeria. Fulani herdsmen will form alliance with boko haram I see president buhari sacking his media adviser Femi Adesina Our president needs serious prayers concerning his health I foresee a hostage taking in Nigeria, likely airport, shopping mall or hotel Ex president GEJ will face serious charges. But nothing will happen. APC would be in real disarray and alot of key members would likely decamp Wike will win in supreme court by votes (don't ask me how) Senator Godswill akpabio would fallout with his supporters An Important APC chieftain would be assassinated Crude oil price will rise contrary to reports that it will fall. Nigeria's economy will bounce back in 2016 An APC governor would be impeached in 2016 and disgraced out of office. Dasuki friends should pray for him Nnamdi kanu would strike a deal with the federal government, that will guarantee his release An important monarch would rest in peace. Donald trump would win the US presidential elections. Four Arab nations will form alliance with Russia to fight ISIS. ( Turkey will likely be amongst them) This is no prophecy, just a prediction due to current events that are happening |

The plan will be updated to include massive contact with tchadian forces as Chad could take advantage of a face off with Cameroun to attack Nigeria from the yansh. This development follows recent repeated invasions of Nigerian territory by Cameroun and Chad. the latest invasion resulted in the killing of 70 villagers in the border town of Mafe. Chad had earlier invaded Baga and raised the town to the round killing thousands of Nigerians. General Burantashi along with many officers like Agabusta and DanSultaan had called for the immediate invasion of Chad. This is now their chances and we are solidly behind them. I thought his name is Burutai |
