Nigerians have been known as people who can do practically anything to get away from being prosecuted and Onwuasonya Augustine proved that notion right. He was charged to court on Tuesday by the EFCC for allegedly swallowing $115,000 to avoid declaring it to officials of the Nigeria Customs Service at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. He was arraigned along with five other alleged accomplices, Christian Okoli, Kingsley Nwokenta, aka Buchito, Nwokenta Emmanuel, Ezenwa Ikenna and Ezenwa Uzoma for the offence of money launderin.

The six were charged with four counts before Justice C.J. Aneke of a Federal High Court in Lagos. The agency alleged that Onwuasonya and the 5 others committed the offence on August 25, 2015, and were apprehended at Room 303 of a five-star hotel in Lagos. The sixth accused, Uzoma, was singularly charged with the offence of obstructing an NDLEA official, Bello Tsanya, in the discharge of his duty.

However, when the charges were read to the six accused in court, they all pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor said:

“In view of the plea of the accused, I respectfully pray the honourable court for a trial date to enable us bring our witnesses. However, I will also be praying that the accused persons be remanded in prison pending trial.”

But the counsel for the 1st to 5th accused, Mr. Victor Opara, told the court that he had filed bail applications on their behalf stating that the 2nd defendant had health challenges, which were being treated while he was in the custody of the EFCC.

One beautiful Sunday morning, I boarded a flight from Lagos to New York, as the plane taxied down the runway, i kept having this awkward feeling that something terrible would happen, owing to the fact that the weather was bad, but i was still confident that nothing would happen. As we took off and ascended into skies, i was a bit calm we experienced a few turbulence, then mid way into the flight we had a lightening strike, it was so violent that i could see some smoke coming outta the engine. Then the Pilot made an announcement over the PA system, " Ladies and gentlemen this is your captain speaking, I'm afraid to inform you that we have lost all four engines due to a lightening strike we just experienced now, and we are loosing altitude fast. our flight engineers are battling to see whether we can restore some of the engines, in the mean i expect all passengers to remain calm and follow the safety procedure im about to demonstrate incase our situation turns hopeless, underneath your seats you would see a life vest and a parachute, since you are going to need both i expect you put on your life vest, and parachute, remember not to inflate your life vest inside the aircraft, then make sure you walk towards the emergency door in a single file and take your turn to jump outta the aircraft, remember to open your parachute somewhere between 3000-2000ft,. If you look out the window now you would see how I AM DOING IT, MAKE SURE YOU DO IT THE SAME WAY, AND YOU WILL BE JUST FINE....... NA SO I SHOUT SEE GOBE OOO.

However, if your party headed by Jonathan didn't loot the treasury while he was the president, things wouldn't have been so bad like this.

Secondly, if jonathan had won second term, it would have been a disaster For Nigerians and this wailing you are wailing now would have been doubled!

The 2.1Billion that was paid to Dokpesi and the 10Billion Naira jonathan asked dasuki to change into dollars and paid pdp delegates, don't you think these monies would have gone a long way in fixing our Economy?
