FunnyDude:
Remember to always show empathy to your prospects business. And follow up at least 7 times.

It works like magic.

There was this client I onboarded last week from CA, during our live call, she said one thing that struck my attention.

I quote below:

"I made this decision to work with you because you showed you really cared about my business, and your followed up as well."

Remember this client I talked about?

She's into e-commerce.

I closed her after our discovery call.

Generated 6 figure$ for her brand during the Black Friday sales.

I'm happy.

You can only make money when you provide value to people. This theory has been in existence for centuries.

Alot of people are looking for shortcut (ponzi, mmm, naijabet, etc).

Truth is, those shortcuts are not sustainable for long.

Learn a high income skill and get paid continuously.

You don't know that earning dollars online and living in Nigeria is one of the greatest gift God can do for you as a Nigerian.

If you're among those earning online. Thank your God. You're ahead of 80% of Nigerians struggling.

You won't understand this until you try and look for a job in Nigeria.

This is exactly what am going
through. A family man with 2 boys, thank God I married a good wife who keeps reassuring me that everything will be well.
By this time last year, I had 3 cars to myself, I was doing very well until a business partner whom I trusted so much made away with my money and the rest was history.
Most times I cry and weep like a baby, being the breadwinner of my family and watching my parents suffer is what breaks me down the most.

Just today my mum sent me 3k from the village, just to show you guys how bad my condition is.
A guy of 32 who once owns cars now jumping bike to drop his children at school.
Let me save this here, I hope and pray nature smiles at me soon.
I read a comment were one guy was talking about saving for the rainy days, bro pray problem doesn't come.
Ps note-Am a graduate of History and international studies with 2:1, I base in Warri, incase you have any job or hustling please notify me. Thanks

Really learning alot here. Sorry

If you're earning remotely, please SAVE.

You'll not understand what it means to have a skill and earn with it until you listen to stories of others.

Save your income.

Diversify into offline business.

Remote opportunities won't last forever .

Remember.

24Months Road Map to $20,000 for Anyone starting from $0 in Nigeria

========
1. Get a job if you don't have money (you need to feed & live)

2. While at the job, Learn a high income skill (you will need this to hit your first $1000)

3. One high income skill is Copywriting

4. Now you have learnt a high income skill, create & grow an LinkedIn, Instagram or TikTok page then make videos plus pictures showing people how to use your copywriting skill to grow their business.

Offer to create Copy for $200 (very cheap). As your audience grows you will get clients

5. If you sell this service for $200, 5 clients will give you $1000. Save every dollar. Live off your job. This money is for your future.

6. Once you have saved up $1000, still keep the job...also keep selling the skill.

7.Now put the $1000 in a business or side-hustle. Choose one with low-risk, high upside e.g info products, Ecom, dropshipping, offline biz, coaching/consultancy, etc.

8. Sell the products you have bought, then reinvest....rinse and repeat. At this point life is getting easier. Money is coming in from work, your skill and business - if you don't drastically increase lifestyle you will be able to handle loads of bills now.

9. Use the 50/30/20 rule. Pay yourself a salary and save the rest OR spend 50% on your needs (rent, food, etc). Spend 30% on wants (charity, dates, cold stone) save 20%. Note you can flip this and do 30% for saving and 20% for needs.

If you keep reinvesting in your business & saving right you will hit $10,000 saving target real fast.

Once you have $10,000, it is time to throw it into a business you set up once that pay you passive income with someone to manage

Eg: a gym, Keke, car wash,

The game is daily income, no matter how small...if a business makes ₦5000 a day profit, you will have ₦150,000 in a month. If you have 10 cashflow business that do this monthly, you will make ₦1.5M a month.

This is 18M a year. This is $20k

Now...you are at a point where you can start looking to make one move that will make you rich, cash is not a problem so you can be more aggressive saving in crypto and you will have cash to chase opportunities.

You're not another copywriter, designer, web developer, or media buyer.

You're a problem solver.

Think like a Doctor Who diagnose patient ailment. Do this for business owners too.

You need to position yourself as a PROBLEM SOLVER.

Identify their problem and pitch the solution to them.

You'll get client in your outreach.

I get my clients on 3 major platforms.

High paying clients are on social media than Upwork.

Upwork is just full of hot leads that are ready to pay asap (with $ connects). But other channels you need to build relationships first (free)

I discovered this last year, when a client paid me $4k USD for a one-off project.

I wrote copy for his funnel (Ads, Email, and Sales Page)

Then we stopped working.

Since then, I don't rely or get too comfortable on any client, because it's a contract, anything can happen.

At times, some clients will last 6 months, others one-off project and some over a year.

But while at it, I make sure I keep looking for more clients.

At least ONE hour daily to do that.

That way, I'm not short of clients.

Please try and implement what I'm showing you on client prospecting.

It will change your life.

On Saturday, at exact 2:52PM, I got an offer from a UK recruiter on LinkedIn.

I was tasked to work for an E-commerce brands in preparation for BFCM (Black-Friday Cyber-Monday) promo coming.

Will be signing the NDA soon.

I do get such Inmail request at least twice weekly like this... Some messages are true while some are false.

But I do get them CONSISTENTLY.

Sincerely, one can actually get freelance clients anywhere.

Just position yourself well, be consistent with contents and engagements.

Then your profile will be rich to attract the algorithm.

Offers will come your way.

Happy new week.

Based on my personal experience, the two type of clients you don't joke with:

- High tickets clients pay higher for your project.
- Low paying clients but with lots of referrals (I like this alot).

On the other hand, the two type of clients to run away from:

- Those looking for freebies (free trial)
- Unsatisfied clients (no matter what you do they won't be satisfied).

Consistently landing incredible clients as a freelancer or copywriter isn't about who is highly skilled.

It's about who knows how to sell their skills better.

You can be highly skilled and still be broke.

So, how can you stand out?

A simple shift in your outreach approach that I'm going to share in my membership can be the missing piece.

I'm going to spill the techniques that have worked for me to consistently win satisfying, well-paid work.

I'll show you how you can tailor it to your services and tap into your unique way.

Send a message.

ajog1:

Copywriting secrets by John Carlton is an ebook, it ain't as detailed as the RMBC course.
Besides, do you know the RMBC course?

First, have you took RMBC? The creator of RMBC is Stefan Georgi - a new school Copywriter.

All these new school copywriters got their inspiration from old schools legends like John Carlton, David Ogilvy, Gary Herbert, etc.

In fact, Stefan Georgi started Copywriting less than 10 years ago. His wife inspired his journey. He said it himself in one of his interview.

BTW, John Carlton Book - Kick Ass of A Marketing Rebel is one of the greatest marketing material on planet earth, ever.

100%.
