Run from anything Telegram. They'll first gain your trust then strike. I could remembered how I was scammed in 2021 by a guy I followed on FB, about #110,000 to fake crypto investment.
I'd bought the coin and sent to their central wallet.
I will never be part of anything Telegram or crypto.
I prefer my freelancing on Upwork jejely

I agree with you that to some extent I may not be doing everything right as they should. Like this very job is requiring the services of an expert copywriter and someone like you can actually tip me on certain things to do to secure this job. In copywriting, nobody knows it all.

Sell yourself on freelance site like Upwork, Fiverr.

When I say money is in copywriting, here's what I mean:

In the job post below the client need 5 Emails for $250.

Let's do rough calculation:

To bid this project it requires 6 connects.
Cost per connect is $0.15 cent.

$0.15 * 6 = $0.90 cent( less than $1)

So you use 0.90 cent to land a $250 job.

Upwork %charges, 10% of $250 =$225

Total: $250 - $0.90 - $25 = $225

You'll be getting $225 profit.

$225 x 755 Naira = 170,000 Naira.

Just one job.

This is why I said Upwork is a gold mine

I warned you guys and as someone on ground. If you are not coding forget anything IT just go and learn handwork.

Not true.

All digital marketing skills pays alot as there is demand for it globally.

He should just niched down to a particular skill and implement all his knowledge ruthlessly.

No digital skill is useless.

Me, I'm a Copywriter and no regret

This is a cry of a jobless Nigerian youth.

Not to rely on the normal 9-5 job which I have been seeking, I have learnt soft digital skills like Copywriting, Digital Marketing, Domain Flipping. But these are not generating revenue for me because I hardly have jobs to apply them. In the case of domain flipping, to make sale is not a child's play. I have used my little money to have a portfolio of 6 domains but sales are not coming even with aggressive outbounding.

May be coding would have been different but I can't afford a laptop.

I'm afraid of my future! I'm just afraid!!

Op your problem is that you trying to be everywhere. From my experience, if you want to earn online and build authority, you have to pick ONE skill and focus on it alone.

I focused on Copywriting and I've made $30,000+ with it on Upwork since 2020.

I didn't say digital marketing, email marketing or other noise.

Just ONE skill.

Build reputation.

Get More testimonial.

So, niche down to a particular skill and go in.

Don't give up pls

Went into UI and ux because I am good at designing and creativity, only for me to see it's already saturated, I tried to branch into software development to augument it and realized it's also saturated, I'm just stuck in limbo now, unable to move forward.

Truth is, no skills that's not saturated already. Amidst the saturation, you can still attract your own raving clients and make a bank with it.
I'm telling you from personal experience.

I got on Upwork during the peak of Covid, when alot of people are seriously embrassing remote work and flooded freelance platforms.
Yet, I caved a path for myself.
You can as well.

Just pick one niche, one type of client, and one solution you will achieve for them.

(Be an expert in ONE field, don't be a generalist)

Focus on that, and you should make it.

All skills are saturated online.

Lol. Typical Nigerian mentality. Bring out one person I have ever scammed or die in silence forever. You failed and didn't succeed at Upwork doesn't mean others not making it.

Karikapapaya:
Please 🥺 I need advice. Since I graduated from University of Benin in 2011, I have not had a good job. I also have a Masters degree from same Uni. I reside in Warri in Delta State. I also own a diploma in theology, that means have been to bible school. Have been teaching in different private schools since 2011. Am 34 now will be 35 in few months time. Lots of people are putting pressure on me to get married but I am scared I can't sustain a family with my meagre private school teacher's salary. Am considering relocating to Abuja to see if I could get a better life with my credentials. I don't know how life really is over there? If I could get a better job? even if it's a good private school that pays well. What's the cost of accommodation? Am just trying to take a leap of faith. Though it seems late, but better late than never. I just feel a change in environment would be better because help is not forth coming from anywhere. I could also work as a pastor in a church if I can get accommodation. Someone please help me I need counsel. Thank you in anticipation 🙏. I have been thinking 🤔 too much lately. Seems like am running out of time cos most of my mates are already married and settled. Help a brother. Am Esan by tribe but born and brought up in Warri. Am like a burden to my aged parents right now because I still live with them and feed from them. I have savings of up to 150k. Keep the advice coming please. Should I just rent a small house in Warri and be managing things or I should relocate to Abuja ? Or even Lagos? I know I am brilliant because I graduated with a second class upper grade with a 4. Point CGPA in biochemistry. I can speak fluently and can defend my certificate but have not been really lucky with jobs. Have spent t fare attending different interviews in Lagos in the past I had to give up and stop coupled with he fact that the age factor isn't on my side anymore.

I do tell people that your destiny is in your hand and brain. Internet has made the world a global village.

Though destiny ain't the same I know, but we need to still try.
With current exchange rate and level of inflation in Nigeria, I don't think anyone should settle for less anymore. I mean you earn $1000 and that equals 750,000 Naira in our local currency.

Bro...

Wake up, don't sleep...you can use your phone and internet use to watch TikTok to learn freelancing and make such income every month.

I'm a testimony. In 2018, I went to search Lagos for job and attended interviews till fustration became my other name.

Today, Internet saved me from lack and poverty.

Not my certificate.

Please learn a skill with that your internet. You will smile.

No one is coming to save YOU. Wake up please!

Who salary epp? Earning in foreign currencies online is one of the best decision I ever took in Nigeria. I started Upwork in 2020.

I'm leveraging on the stability of US economy to stay afloat here in Nigeria. That's the best way to live right now.

So this month, I decided to start sharing my Upwork earnings from the month of March 2022.

Imagine earning $1467 in one month without buying or shipping a product. Here's the breakdown of the orders:

$400
$130
$130
$260
$155
$152
$65
$175

Excluding Upwork charges I was able to take home 675k in March.
