hostine316:For this particular scholarship, the applicants would know the outcomes before the second week of March. |
ja2ken:You could still have chosen Germany University if you so desired. It's the PTDF flexisaf application that is necessary for this selection. The DAAD portal application is of no significance, at least for now. |

But this "tetra" guy hammer some people better uppercut shaa. Seems many people share his opinion as reflected by the 'likes'. ![]() Anyway, I hope all this God this, God that we are chanting here would be reflected in the work when people eventually become successful. Those in environmental, remember your 'God' when you go for inspection in gas plants or flowstations and the company is flaring more gas than is permissible. When they give your team that $10,000 envelope, and you mellow down your reports, remember that God we call every time here. Engineering, safety, etc . . . when you land on that rig and the company man hands you that fat envelope after you have gone round and done your inspection. While looking the other way and ticking everything as 'very good', remember that 'God' you were shouting for everybody here. That time when independent petroleum marketers pay a courtesy visit to office and all of a sudden money is being shared 'cash', remember how you flooded everywhere with God, God, God. Just remember, that's all we beg thee. #ChangeBeginsWithMe. |
babagy82:The truth is that NNPC and DPR have always given over 60% on merit in their recruitment history. Full time, early career recruitment I mean. |
Onyiridike:You always have stories . . . one time it was how you did internship in brewery, as others laughed at you that you wouldn't get it; the other time it was bible story of someone (whether David or so) who was to stop praying when the son died; some other stories, then this. After all these, successful people should gather and give you some chieftency title. Although getting together would be difficult since some would be resuming in Zamfara, some Yola, Kaduna, Minna, Lokoja, etc etc. |
Onyiridike go don get PM tire. Guys finding wife/girlfriend working at DPR like there's no tomorrow. Coupled with the fact that she is from Enugu, the "good wife" place. madam dejee o! |
It is rainy season in Enugu State by August. However, there are usually some sunlight, not severe as October or November. Irrespective of the so called August break, you would experience heavy rain some times if you're staying the whole of August. |
habakukjss3:I did not at any time say my answers guaranteed me the job. Till tomorrow, I will repeat that I was more knowledgeable than “my” panelists in my area. Most often, those in the private sector are more grounded than those at govt regulators. Just like someone discussing Mercedes V-boot and talking about front-wheel drive (I didn't go to tell them that though). However, correct your impression, I didn’t go to tell them I know more. In fact I said what my questions were, they are not anything technical. It is the interviewers work to ask technical questions not mine. The first question I asked was how a typical career projection would be for someone of my qualifications and experience. They somehow dodged it. The second question was about how DPR would have personnel in almost every state capital yet petrol is hoarded and sold above pump price. I twisted it and made it look like some of their top officials take compensation from marketers and look the other side (that’s the one that made the FCC person laugh, and it is true). Leave all this God talk all the time, human beings make final selection not God. OmaniPadmeHum:You are free to talk your own. I just made an elaborate post of how my interview went, anything you make out of it is your own cup of tea. My interview session was very friendly and everybody (myself inclusive) had a good dosage of laughter. I do not think anyone picked offense in the room. If you are on Nairaland picking offence for them, goodluck! In a matter of weeks, I believe we shall know. I had been out of job for over a year and DPR is not more than some other opportunities I had lost. So my life doesn't and wouldn't depend on a bribe-infested, money-calculating, salary-speculating, largely-idle government department. |
Achilles17:I am a partial EH. Thanks but I normally should be worried why my profile wouldn't come up for them. We're too few that got that to be a trend. There are some sure candidates here and some insiders that will tell when "celebration" time comes. Pls some are sending me PM. I wouldn't be responding. I've not made any comments on this recruitment thread before. I was just monkeying around when I applied, and never thought it'll be anything serious up to this stage. My interview was just normal, I think I got all my questions correctly and surely I knew some more than the panel but was a bit proud (current affairs have been my strong point since primary school). I was comfortable with the technical aspects and mentioned a few names in DPR that we had correspondences with in my previous work place before I was dropped mid last year. I was into drilling and well planning, they knew the place I worked and I named wells for them (usually, DPR gets well plans, anti-collision analysis and other things before approving new wells to be drilled). At the end, I hammered them 2 questions that they couldn't answer. first was on career development at DPR while the second was a direct attack question and indictment on them, that was motivated by the fuel scarcity which had started building up at the time of my interview. The 2nd question got the FCC man laugh out loudly. So, that's all. I don't think there's anything special. I didn't go to please them. in fact, the 2nd question could get them rank me low or disqualify me outright. Their business. That's all. Happy New Year in advance to you all. You have my best wishes always. |
Ferguson0709:It is not scam. it's about updating into a DPR portal that many of us log into everyday. They didn't demand I send anything to any e-mail address, neither did he request payments or favour. |
I also got the call talking about my profile update not reflecting at their end. I told him that at the interview they seemed to have every info on me, so why another silly update (didn't exactly use "silly" on phone). He just said I should endeavour to do so as soon as possible. I said ok, but also told him that after the interview I got a message to update portal profile (with: ignore if you've been interviewed or something like that). I made it clear to him that it appears their info/data management is somehow lousy. He jokingly responded, implying maybe if I become hired we could come to change things. I have done that anyway. By Tuesday I'll call back so they can check if it reflected. |
mezebel:Does it mean she wanted to abandon the program and enrol in tailoring? |
Pillyportions:Yes, it is. Forward it as sealed, don't open. You can enclose it in another bigger envelope. |
pstfrancis:Yes, PhD is inclusive. |
danielarivas:Senorita . . . are you still here? |
chaiks:Check from the school. |
Guys, MFAT has started contacting candidates. Good luck! |
daudakarimou4:I also wondered why no mention of the IELTS was made during the interview. Me I'm not ready for the English test wahala, they had better forget it. |
Tigernew:Nothing from my end. |
Based on what the interviewer said, I think there should be some form of outcome before 10th October. |
Tigernew:You were given opportunity to ask questions during your interview. I wonder why you didn't ask them. Whatever they pay can sustain a student in their cities. Besides, if you get the award and wish not to take it, you can always reject the offer. |
danielarivas:I see. You're welcome to Nigeria (online). I guess you region doesn't take online psychometric testing. Our online testing and large number of applications shifted the timeline to a lag. But I believe all the results should be out in a few weeks. |
danielarivas:Yes. that they would ask once the final list is up. Seems you're not a Nigerian candidate. Interview by July? NZDS? |
