Stevecovey: Yes. Many fraudulent estate agents. We almost fell for one. Our lawyer told us to check with planning office before payment, and we found out the agent had not even gotten CofO for the land cos it was under contention wt the state government. Another seller had duped him, and he wanted to quickly chop up and resell the land to unsuspecting buyers. If u see the brochure ehn, you would never believe the land had k-leg. That is what they do. We just uncovered one recently despite my warnings to. Them. That we have surveyor general that handled investigations for us. They said no problem... Only for our investigators to reveal the land is under acquisition. |

successful35: Please tell me what you learnt. I'm about to buy land there before you buy, do your due diligence before you pay them. They will tell you that no problem on the land because they want your money. I am part of a team working for a client to acquire some acres of land, about 1 and half hectares of land actually.... They told us no problem on the land, I told them we would investigate it and they said no problem. They probably said it to make us believe it's genuine. Eventually our team of investigators found out that the land is under government acquisition. So you see? Someone advised that before you buy land at Ibeju Lekki, you should confirm from. Alausa. For our own we have surveyor general that handles stuff like that for us. If he says we should go ahead, we would. If he says no, we don't. Just do ur due diligence before u buy.. Don't even trust ur own brother in this case. Nigerians are hungry lions looking for whom to devour |

ChristineC: better go and invest for your children's future and drop hearsay I am involved in a 100 acres purchase, after they said it is not under acquisition, even though I warned them that we have a surveyor general in charge of investigations. They said no problem.. One of them kept bugging us to come and pay... Well, it turned out the land is under government acquisition from our investigators. Your eyes go clear las las P. S The land talked about here is not Lagos. |

Kuginzi: It has reduced drastically. When last did u hear bomb blast in Church, Mosque or market place? During GEJ administration, Northeast Christians stopped Christmas celebration due to Insurgency likewise Muslims stopped Eid celebration. So Insurgency became d major reason Northerners voted him out reduced and we learned from international sources about shallow graves where our soldiers are being buried, community under control of Bokoharam and I personally watched a video of our soldier using faulty and malfunction guns, a more reason why we have had more deaths of soldiers than ever recorded. Some were seen fleeing the war zones. U expect already gagged Nigerian media to tell you the truth about what is happening? Joker |

Kuginzi: Good write-up! But thinking Atiku, Saraki, Dino etc made Buhari defeated Goodluck is a big lie. Remember, the entire North were fed up with Jonathan's administration due to high level of Insurgency. If Atiku, Saraki, Dino, Kwankwaso made Buhari won during 2015 election, then why didn't they use their personality/influence to win 2019 election for themselves. Has the Boko haram now ended? |

victorava: Hello Nairalanders
Two weeks back, my friend was apprehended by DSS officers from his residence in Lagos state and we have not heard from him.
I was driving out with him, immediately they saw us, they surrounded us and started asking questions. We now discovered that it was my friend that they were looking for. They collected his phones and followed him to his room to change his clothes. When I asked them what his offense was, they told me that they would like to ask him one or two questions.
They told me to meet them at their office and when I got there, I was not allowed access to their office. The officer at the gate told me that there was no such arrest. It was on Friday. I went there on Monday together with his wife and brother which was the following week, we were still denied access. They officer at the gate told us that if he's truly here that nothing will happen to him. He told us that anyone who is apprehended is not allowed to see anybody until after investigation.
We paid a Lawyer to go there the following day and the Lawyer eventually gained access, he was told that my friend was taken to Abuja the following day they arrested him.
We contacted a Lawyer in Abuja to go there and he was not allowed to see my friend. They told him to submit an application that they would get back to him. After few days, they did not contact him. He decided to go there this week and was denied access.
My friend has a wife and two kids, the wife has not been herself since this incident happened. She's been traumatized. She just wants to be sure if her husband is truly there.
Please Nairalander, I need your advice on the necessary steps I should take to be able to see my friend. Sorry for the long write up.
Admin please help me move this to front page, it is very urgent. Go to twitter, search for Segalink. He will take it up from there. Oracle is in Abuja and can do the leg work for you. |

the reality, many Nigerian women especially those ones living in big cities like lagos are not appreciative of efforts made by men in their lives, they always want more and feel entitled just because they gave you pussy.
i also noticed many men abroad, do not date Nigerian women, they are high maintenance especially those Nigerian women without job. Stay away from girls from poor homes without job or handwork who pay her own bills. |

Oshigun: Shut up you mindless bigot. Hatred of anything to do with APC and PMB has blinded your eyes and destroyed your senses. Same/similar laws are been enacted fast worldwide in recognition of the menace an unsupervised social media is causing with the obvious conclusion worse is to come if action is not taken.
Look , there is nada you can do. Shout from today till the new year if you want. The bill will be passed into law. If you are not a perverse purveyor of fake news like Reno, Kanu, FFK, Fayose et al then you have nothing to worry about. If you a a callous blogger making a living selling lies then they should fine you heavily or jail you. Whichever suits the damage you do when you lie deliberately just to profit from the misery of others. The above is quote from a supporter who support the social media bill because he is currently benefiting from the center, albeit crumbs. A man must survive, but not at the expense of future generation. Our parents' failed us and we currently failing the next generation. While the OP in the quote above was salivating over social media bill, he didn't know that the same senate rejected a bill to stop importation of generators and darkness will never depart from you even in 1000 years to come. There is also a report from these set of people you defend on here which stated that Nigeria, as big as she is, cannot get constant power supply even in 100 years. Google it! Who will suffer at the end? Few weeks back, a woman lost her son to death due to poor health systems. Some of you need to think about the future of your next lineage when taking stance, at least it what I do and I often speak from that angle, always. But as long as you are being fed crumbs to defend rubbishes for being paid 50-100k, you think you are succeeding... lol. Joke is on you people. seriously, it is! A lot of things have been designed to kill you even before your death finally comes... nothing is as worse as happy slave! |
