Duggedised12: exactly, i don't know why people are so worked up about it ,maybe its not the law but because its trump or something.
A US parent living outside the US has 18 years to complete the process of naturalisation, thats a long time. Then there is the group of people who feel all they have to do is get on the plane with their big tummies and deliver in the US, they played the system for long and now want to cry wolf. This is something they cant try anywhere else ,but hey, US is the land of the free cos this laws have been in Europe even the UK for long In the near future, it will become harder. Nigerians had better be ready to fight to liberate themselves back home. |

GrabHisBalls: Blame your brother. I thought most of you go by the mantra "Make money and you'll marry any woman of your choice?" the moral lesson in your story is that a lady could love your money and not love you. That was exactly what played out and crashed their marriage.
Secondly, his inability to invest. If he had invested part of his salary, he won't have had reasons to fight over 200k 'cause I am sure he was giving her more than that of which she never accounted for. She realized he wasn't doing so well, so her reason for the disrespect. lol...true. I always counter their claims on here and that that mentality is super dangerous. A friend burnt through 25M for similar reason back in 2013-2015. That is like 50M in today's Nigerian currency. The man who said money does not buy love was never stupid. |

Jerie: When this thread was opened, I read through it, didn't have a dime. I had been working in a place in Lagos for 5 years, earning 60k per month and never made a single million for myself. After reading, I decided to leave my job in December 2018 and launch out on my own. If I perish, so be it. I called up those who knew me and told them I was on my own.
The turnaround was phenomenal. I made my former annual salary in 2 months. Between January and July 1, I made over 4.5M. Fixed up lots of things with 1.5 and put 2.5 in various investments. Presently out of cash but I'm not broke. More business would definitely come. I can see you are following my old handle. Damn... U must be an old timer... Seun banned that handle for 10 years I think. Can I reach out to you? |

olahpet777: I support the part where you said he needs competition. Seriously! He thinks he has arrived na... one startup can just spring up and disrupt his space with the way Nigerians are building tech startups all over the place. Few years ago, we depended on just Wester Union or MoneyGram to receive money from abroad...Today we have Transferwise.com, Transfast.com, PaySend.com, WorldRemit.com which sends the money straight to your bank account, without you even leaving to bank. I mostly use Transferwise.com for most of my clients. Instead of being humble so that when tough times comes, people will stick with him, he is rather being arrogant and I have read a lot of people complain of this prior to my experience. May be he thinks he is dealing with a teenager or early 20s or Maybe cos I am not Oga T lol... importing and selling laptops and phones or whatever is not my thing as a business. Last I tried, it was nowhere near what I could accomplish should I use same money money to import some solution-based products from China and I would make over 100% percent of money invested. BUT one thing is sure, which he is still oblivious of, if a TECH company or another that can treat people right for same service, 90% of people on here will LEAVE... You can take that to bank. |

boxypane: The entire scenario surrounding this incident is fishy, a normal defence role is to arrest and hand over criminals to the appropriate authority. Most worrisome was that the unfortunate policemen did not return fire and were surrendered before jungle justice was carried out on them. This is fishy!!! The army captain owes us an explanation. LOL bros, I read people's comments on this issue and weep. Nigerian youth down south have no idea what is cooking in the North, sadly. Army attacking police and killing just free a kidnapper should tell you why bokoharam has been alive till today. The North will pay for their atrocities in appointed time |

No child can stop any shiit. When Nnamdi Kanu IPOB movement was at its peak, one of your brother stated here on nairaland that he is married to an Igbo woman. He was forced to ask that should Nigeria disintegrate, will she join biafra. And guess what she told me... A resounding yes. She said she will leave the kids with him since they are his. mikkyangel: 20TH AUG...2 days movement I did not even know you blocked me until today. You are funny bro.... what will happen if you block everyone you do business with? The only thing I told you was "did i tell you to pay the money into my bank account? return it to my cousin abi which kind stupid talk be this..." Bros, make you no worry, one day you go meet serious competition for this your business by then you go sit up and know what's up. You don chop belleful na why u dey raise shoulder, which is very typical and I am not surprise considering you are a Nigerian. I recommended you to my young cousin, he contacted you with a link, you told him to pay for the package only to start asking him why he didn't remind you after some days and I have never reminded you when I bought anything through which sounded strange to me. Okay, I understand you work very hard and still gave you time to go on with the purchase, you opted to refund the money and that was when they stole his phone cos he came for a visit. There was no phone aside mine to communicate with you. You asked him for his name and bank, he gave you but you still insisted that he contact you with his line... I told you over 3 times that he does not have a phone and that was when you said "if you like talk am 100 times" which sounded rude to me and I replied "did i tell you to pay the money into my bank account? return it to my cousin abi which kind stupid talk be this..." You had his name, phone number, you had his bank account and all you should have done is to check your chat and do the needful, you still insisted that he contact you himself with his own number when he didn't have a phone to do that abi touch light phone dey get whatsapp ni. When he returned to Benin, his friend, luckily bought a phone for him which was what he used to communicate with you and you refunded. I contacted you and thanked you, which means I did not hold any grudge against you cos that is me. We fit fight now now and I go still eat from same plate with you tomorrow but you carry the thing for mind and blocked me, even when you first spoke rudely to me. The laptop he currently uses, I bought that laptop for him through you about 3 years back. Good luck with your business... I am off you shiit for good! |

CotenantNIG: ill say this the whole southern nigeria put nigeria on the map, check the where innovation and development are taking place
it hurts me that yorubas and igbos hate themselves with what the two regions have done for nigeria as a whole
the igbos and yorubas have done a lot of good for this country but this unhealthy rivalry is what is killing the south
onitsha, aba, yaba and even ikeja ought to be a silicon valley with billions of investment moving in every month but nigeria policy has weakened all this Buhari is about to kill those too and some southerners in political positions are watching him... Those guys are not happy with what we do down south and are hell bent on making sure the South becomes as poor as the North but the sad reality is that who don pass u, don pass u... there is nothing you can do about it.. How do you explain the 5% charge on online purchases and 25M per annum for bike hailing companies... they are not creating jobs and the one that manage to create one are being killed. |

Whether you like it or not, as Nigerians, crime is in our DNA.
YAHOO is a culture in Nigeria, prolly not in the North. It is a cankerworm has eaten deep into our society, it would take a lot to end this sh*t.
The state of the country is not helping matters as well, the vast majority of Nigeria's staggering population are below 35, a country where there is a backdrop of opportunities. Deficit of jobs, how do man survive?
Survival instincts kick in, Charles Darwin theory, survival of the fittest.
Not everyone has the conscience to make clean money. Not everyone has the courage to invest in crypto, a lot of folks dont know the potentials of affiliate marketing. Many dont know the bountless opportunities awaiting them in the digital world.
They found their way, but then it comes with a price, and i guess they are paying it. My brother God go bless you. In a country where government is even trying to kill companies that manage to create jobs, like charging GOKADA 25M annual fees, 5% for every only purchases and all that... |
