IntellectualMum: Landing Gist #LongPostAlert
Drama at the Airport
Weather
It is cold (and getting colder by the day) but we just told ourselves to suck it up and get on with the program. That's what we signed up for. We just layer up. I guess I kinda now appreciate better the idea of four distinct seasons.
Still hunting.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread and left pointers to help others on this Journey. I had been a silent reader on this thread wayyyyy before I received PPR. It has been an amazing source of light. God bless. Excellent piece! Your partner was right about defending your rights in Nigeria it seems. I have been considering packing my diaries, Been keeping them since i was 14, now i know I will. Who needs clothes? Cannot wait to write my story. |

pejuhazel: Hello congrats on your PPR. Please I would like to ask about your UK pcc; how were you able to have it sent to a UK address since you have to present a proof of living in that address cos mine is also yet to get here. Thanks and congrats again. Sorry, I just saw this. You present your nigerian address as the proper address and all the accompaying proof; then input a UK address as delivery address (when filling the form) In my case i called them, and gave them the uk address. Best of luck |

NDkings Another post referring to fraudulent activities.. you will give other Nigerians problems soon . We all know it will happen .
Please stop posting these fraudulent , corner cutting measures on this forum or online .
Maybe it's my legal mind showing through, this is how people will commit crimes and broadcast it to lovedones making them unwitting accomplices.
Best of luck to everyone. |

happytbaby: It's Elfmanisback o, I have been saying it since, I find it difficult to believe that learning French can be that easy. Anyway, maybe I do not have an ear for languages. We all do,if you are surrounded by nothing but that language... I trust you'll be blowing grammar Tojued: You won't know till you write it . you just may surprise yourself. I am still on track to write it this Dec. Listening is a serious problem as I found when I was in Togo hearing nothing but West African accents I was struggling . Lol Claire40: it is doable oh, maybe not in 6 months but definitely in one year especially if it is intensive study...... After 1 year possibly . I agree |

AZeD1: Congrats on your job. My advice to everyone looking for a job is to never rule yourself out. That's the job of the HR manager not yours so do your part by applying and let the HR manager do theirs. She made it to the final interview with a VP who came from Toronto to Ottawa and is waiting feedback.
Never rule yourself out of a job role. Thanks for this post, I am lawyer who works in development in Nigeria and have no desire to practice in Canada either, I had started ruling myself out of jobs i have not even applied for. thanks for this. I will suggest that people check reddit for alternate careers for people who have studied something similar to theirs, I find that it is helping me identify which areas to target with a law degree |

I was there on a public holiday so luckily did not have this problem. I did notice she was a bit rude to me as well. |

It is clear many people are not reading and just asking questions. A simple topic search would reduce the questions. People want to help, however, the past few pages have been filled with 'newbies' who are lazy and also indignant. Please keep your aggression offline. We are a supportive and happy bunch on here. Now, how do i contact my school ? I want to order my transcripts |
