Aemmyjah: Pls sir Don't make any comments on any thread from these stupid fools Let them be the ones to be commenting Don't even try to defend the organization from their lies It's basically for Fxmasterz and other unreasonable folks to swallow Even if the thread is positive about us and these people are polluting it, we leave it for them
That's what they want So that when you keep commenting and they keep replying, the thread remains at the top so that anyone that visits the religion section in Nairaland will also be reading their lies. They have nothing reasonable to offer spiritually, we can continue sharing comments about spiritual matters and answering others
Fxmasterz says Bible has errors Oteneeran does not even believe in Jesus or the Bible Courz spread lies Acholardey does not want peace, he wants problems The other guy, Temple333 wants to leave alone in another planey and enjoy porn pass spiritual things. Why should we be allowing these guys draw comments from us? Let them be talking about God to one another and they'll be toxic learning nothing
©Janosky Maxindhouse Are these attached lingos also lies about your organization?

oteneaaron: Don't fall for this trick FxMasterz.
Tomorrow, he will claim that you were following him around and begging him for a debate.
He will also claim that he humiliated you by asking you to create a thread.
I'm speaking from experience.
If he really wants the debate, let him do the creating of the thread. Thanks very much. Noted. |

MaxInDHouse: Not on this thread! If you want to know start your own thread with title: "Did Jesus endorse any religion?"
Religionists of all kinds will flock in and i will be there to prove that Jesus endorced just one that we all need to identify today through the clues he (Jesus) gave as IDENTIFYING MARKS.
But if you're not interested it's OK we are cool with our RELIGION! Okay. I'll create a thread. |

MaxInDHouse: Dishonesty and insincerity!
Jesus never talked about any religion yet the same Jesus complained about the practices in Judaism (a religion) and establish his own group (Christianity) globally recognize as one of the religions.
Ọmọ you're just envious of the one and only true religion so take good care of yourself no JW is coming to this thread for your jealousy.
Call out members of the other two groups and question them if you're sure JWs aren't your only problem! Please tell us the religion Jesus created. Tell us how He instructed about a religion He endorses. |

So i am practicing religion for the sake of the only true religion Jesus said you and your faithless friends will hate! John 15:17-21 Jesus never talked about any religion please. Jesus instituted no religion. Does the attached lingo and rules confirm your said true religion?

DamnnNiggarr:
This one go pain those guys from the other side of the river reach bone marrow
most of the time when I see Some comments here, I'll be like, wtf,
Going by your disposition the figure allocated to the SW is below what it should be, Lagos State alone has more than 30 million population, and out of that population, it is clearly written that 3 people out of 10 are living in multidimensional poverty, do you know what that means? let's take Lagos' 30 million population (according to you) as a point of reference; Lagos with a population of 30 million and 3 people out of 10 live in multidimensional poverty means that Lagos has a population of over 9 million people living in multidimensional poverty. But the actual population of Lagos is 15 million. you guys should stop pulling up figures and unrealistic exaggerations. Please show me where the bolded is written. If 3 out of 10 people in Lagos are living in multidimensional poverty, does that not mean that 9 million poor people live in Lagos alone? True statistics should be based on percentages and not numbers. This records here are illogical. They do not express the true state of things. Even as at 1994 census, Lagos was more than. 20 million. Where did you get your 15 million from? |

Israelhamas: Thanks for this. My intention was only to drop this thread, not to drag with jesusjnr2020. I can't force anyone on what they choose to be. I was only compelled to call his attention to his heresies. Just as it has always been, it still continues to remain his choice to start preaching what the word of God says or to keep preaching his own heretic opinions. But now, he won't be able feign ignorance of his wrong deeds anymore. The bolded is very true. He can never ever claim he wasn't warned. |

Racoon: The real sufferers have again taken their rightful place. No matter the parameter, the SE always fare better. 11m out of how many people? Before south west Got 16m, do you know how many people that is? Lagos alone is more 30 million people. So do your calculations by percentage. |

MaxInDHouse: What is the name of your own church and where do they worship? I don't have a church I can call mine. I am simply a disciple of Jesus and belong to the body of Christ. Jesus owns His church. So, how can I own one? I've answered your question, so answer mine. Is this what Jesus taught that your organization is also teaching below:

MaxInDHouse: I have the one and only organization that's practicing what Jesus taught so if you want me to examine whatever you want to say the first thing you have to do is present a better performing group than JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES!
Once you do that you and i can reason together but in the absence of that ọmọ take good care of yourself! Was it Jesus who taught your organization the rules and lingos in the attached screenshot?

It is that your very line of thought that I actually want you to look deeply into. The questions I asked should force you to reexamine your line of thought. |

Israelhamas: You can also shove your confused religious stand into the mouth of wherever it fits into.
Perhaps, when you are no longer confused about the faith and god you follow, you would start sounding less of a confused person to those reading your posts. You've tried my brother but be rest assured that jesusjnr would not listen to you. He's proud and arrogant and may even attack your person for refuting him. I've had experiences with him on some of his threads. He needs deliverance. The fruits of the Spirit are not made manifest in him. He might even be possessed like kobojunkie. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Top 9 Parallels Between Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and Scientologists by FxMasterz: 10:36am On Jun 09, 2024 |
oteneaaron: I completely agree with you that they are all religious cults.
They fit into the BITE model of identifying Cults and High Control Organizations.
The BITE model, developed by cult expert Steven Hassan, is a tool used to assess whether a group exhibits characteristics of a cult or a high-control organization.
It stands for Behavior control, Information control, Thought control, and Emotional control.
Let's analyze how Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), and Scientologists fit into this model:
BEHAVIOR CONTROL:
1. Jehovah's Witnesses: They heavily regulate members' behavior through strict codes of conduct, including rules about dress, entertainment, association with non-members, and participation in holidays and celebrations. Deviation from these rules can result in social ostracism and disciplinary action.
2. Mormons: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also imposes behavioral regulations on its members, including dietary restrictions (such as abstaining from alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine), guidelines for dress and appearance, and expectations for church attendance and participation in rituals like temple ordinances.
3. Scientologists: Scientologists exercise control over members' behavior through policies and practices such as the use of ethics committees, enforced disconnection from dissenters or critics, and intense pressure to participate in costly courses and auditing sessions.
INFORMATION CONTROL:
1. Jehovah's Witnesses: Information control is evident in the strict regulation of literature and materials provided by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society. They discourage members from accessing outside sources of information, particularly those critical of the organization, and promote reliance on their own publications.
2. Mormons: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints controls information by providing official manuals, teachings, and approved sources of doctrine. They discourage members from reading material critical of the church and may restrict access to certain historical documents or teachings.
3. Scientologists: Scientology tightly controls information by restricting access to certain teachings and materials, particularly those related to advanced levels of auditing and spiritual progression. They discourage members from reading critical media or websites and may use legal threats to suppress dissenting information.
THOUGHT CONTROL:
1. Jehovah's Witnesses: Thought control is evident in the strict adherence to doctrinal beliefs and the suppression of dissenting viewpoints. They discourage independent critical thinking and promote reliance on authority figures and the organization's interpretations of scripture.
2. Mormons: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints exercises thought control through its emphasis on obedience to church leaders, adherence to doctrinal teachings, and discouragement of questioning or doubting official doctrine. They promote conformity to group norms and discourage independent thought.
3. Scientologists: Thought control is evident in Scientology's emphasis on the elimination of "counter-intentions" and the suppression of critical thoughts or doubts about the organization or its teachings. They use auditing and other techniques to identify and eradicate dissenting thoughts or beliefs.
EMOTIONAL CONTROL:
1. Jehovah's Witnesses: Emotional control is exercised through the use of fear, guilt, and shame to manipulate behavior and enforce compliance with organizational rules and teachings. Members are often made to feel guilty for questioning or doubting the organization's teachings.
2. Mormons: Emotional control is evident in the emphasis on loyalty to church leaders and the promotion of feelings of guilt or shame for deviating from church teachings or expectations. The promise of eternal salvation or exaltation is used to motivate adherence to church standards.
3. Scientologists: Emotional control is exercised through the use of intense pressure, coercion, and fear tactics to compel compliance with Scientology's teachings and practices. Members may be made to feel responsible for their own shortcomings or failures and pressured to spend significant time and resources on Scientology courses and auditing. Very detailed analysis. This is very informative. |

oteneaaron: Hahahahaha
That video you shared yesterday led me to do some research oo.
I honestly thought it was only the JWs who were banned in Russia.
That is when I asked myself, why would Putin ban these 3 religions?
What are their similarities?
That was what led to this thread.
Thank you for sharing that video yesterday. Honestly, when I was younger and used to read JW texts and that of the 7th Day Adventists, I usually wonder why they're called cults by other Christians. It wasn't hard for me to understand why the Mormons are a cult but I couldn't break the JW shell until I got to Nairaland. They keep a lot of secrets away from the general public.. There are some of their doctrines you would never know about until you join them. |
