we should not be talking about credibility of Aljazeera here, this is said to be through telephone interview,

If you think GEJ could lie, If you think SSS report could lie, what makes you think OKAR cannot be Bias and pitch tent with a political group of choice and as well make statements that will mess opponents up.

This statement might be one of such.
PoliticsRe: Gej Nailed Finally- Okah Spills The Bin! by fxmaxony(m): 3:04pm On Oct 05, 2010
What do you expect a man who is alleged to have collected $100 million to mastermind the stuff to say now he is being investigated?

Those who doubted SSS report will now believe this.

OKAR will not like to die alone, that is one thing we should Understand.

Aljaz, stuff of a channel has always been doing hatchet job for both Kitchen cabinet then and now master minders of the blast.

I am beginning to realize why Nigeria is not making progress,It is not just only bad leadership, the followers are mere sycophants,

As at now those who are shouting wolf on detention of a suspect cannot say whether he has made a committal statement.

Moreover I have not seen any thing that will lead to war when Dokpesi is detained, If any thing convincing points to IBB too, he will be quizzed and detained too

That he is a contestant to the Position of president means nothing to the law.

Did they shout at the foreign security report!

It is the same lame duck complaining that will blame Jonathan govt if he fails to take action towards the direction of security report pointer.

GEJ is not incharge of SSS

PoliticsCruelty: Nigerian Police Bathe Excited Youths With Paints On Independence Day by fxmaxony(op): 6:48am On Oct 02, 2010
A member of the Nigerian Police Force added
heartlessness to the tragedy that followed the country's
50th anniversary by splashing 8 excited citizens with a
bucket full of white paint.

One of the victims of the splash Tijani Joseph said the
ugly incident happened just after the first explosion
which killed several people near the Eagle Square
venue of the anniversary.

''We were standing outside trying to find our way into the
Square when this police man assisted by a youth corper
told us to move away. We were about leaving when
suddenly the police officer threatened to splash us with
paint.'' said Tijani.

Another victim, Saliu Usman said the police officer lifted
the bucket of white paint and splashed on the crowd
standing close to the barbed wires.

The victims said all their efforts to get first aid treatment
waere futile as no one was ready to help them.

'' They just keep sending us from one place to the other.
For over 3 hours we were there trying to get someone to
take us to the hospital but they only gave us water to
wash our faces.'' added Usman .

Speaking with african examiner, one of the coordinators
of series of ambulance buses at the venue who refused
to give her name said she would need approval from her
supervisor before any of the buses could take the
victims to the hospital .

She said her boss would be back and asked the victims
to hang around but for over an hour that our reporter
was at the scene, the supervisor never came.

Some of the victims who were obviously in pain vowed to
take their case to court in order to seek justice.

PoliticsPressure Mounts On Ibb To Dump Presidential Ambition by fxmaxony(op): 11:07am On Sep 28, 2010
Abuja 9/27/2010 www.africanexaminer.com

There are strong indications that former military president
Ibrahim Babangida may drop his presidential ambition following
pressure from the northern elders, his friends and loyalists.

African Examiner gathered that the pressure on IBB to step
down was to enable the north comes out with a consensus
candidate that will give President Jonathan a run for his money
during the PDP primaries.

IBB friends believe it is better that the former military president
to step down now, rather than allowing himself to be humiliated
at the polls. It was also gathered that those who wanted him to
quit are of the opinion that his candidacy will be hard to sell in
some part the country, especially in the South West.

One of the arguments of the canvassers is that the former
military president should step down to pave the way for younger
candidates like Ribadu, Saraki and president Jonathan to fight
it out at the polls.

African Examiner source noted that IBB will eventually dump his
ambition because political calculations are not helping him right
now as his past misdeeds have continued to overwhelmingly
haunt him. The source also pointed out that out of all the past
military head of state in Nigeria, it was only Babangida who has
continued to be struggling with his image, out of office.

African Examiner also gathered that with IBB in the race, the
much touted consensus candidates in the north would not be
successful as other candidates are not likely to accept his
choice because they see him as having too much political junk,
though this indication is coming despite previous parley by all
the candidates to abide by the decision of the committee set up
by the Northern elders to pick a consensus candidate among
IBB, Saraki, Atiku and Gusau.

All the four candidates thought they have the best credentials
to defeat President Jonathan in the PDP primaries. Babangida
on his own is claiming that he is the most experienced being the
only one who has been a president among the four, while
former vice president Atiku Abubakar claims that he has the
best democratic credentials among the candidates.

On his own part, Gen. Aliyu Gusau believes he is the only
candidate with clean credentials during a public life that span
over 35 years, while Governor Bukola Saraki of Kwara is of the
view that his age is the strongest point in his argument.

As a result of the complex nature of concluding the consensus
talks, pressure are being mounted on the former general to quit
the stage, adding that many escape routes could be used as
an excuse rather than allow himself to be ridiculed at the
primaries.
Our source pointed out that Babangida’s statement recently
that 2010 elections is not a “ do-or-die affairs” and that “life
goes on even he loses,” are indications of pressure on him.

“You can see that the statement is loaded with meaning, this will
let you know IBB has been made to realize that he will need to
drop his ambition to allow the North to produce a consensus
candidate, which is highly unlikely to be him due to many
controversial and unresolved issues dangling on his head” Our
source stated.

Lagos, posted 9/26/2010 www.africanexaminer.com

Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka has joined partisan politics,
emerging as the national chairman of the Democratic Front for a
Peoples Federation, DFPF.

Soyinka was elected unopposed during the party’s convention on
Saturday at Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

In his speech, Soyinka said that the DFPF was founded in order
to transform the political landscape of Nigeria, warning that the
party would not admit disgruntled members from other parties.

He clarified that only those who cross carpet from the other
parties based on principle would be admitted into the Democratic
Front Party.

According to Soyinka, “The DFPF for now is disinterested in the
overall national scene. But after taking control in one state, one
Council, one ward, would begin to reach out through example to
others, gradually evolving a civic rule that governs and performs
through mutual collaboration’’
