Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Problem With Serious Dating by Gabry(f): 4:18pm On Mar 29, 2009
Hey guys, I need to hear other people's view about my situation, I have been out of a relationship for like 5 years now ( By choice), the last one lasted just one month because i couldn't cope with her excessive "asking" spirit and the first one ended because she moved to Delta state from Lag.
There is a particular girl in my life, though i have not told her i want her to be my date (Partner, fiancee), but as things are, She's likely expecting me to pop up that question. The problem is that i really have a phobia with asking a girl to date me after the 2 incidence, I always fear i might end up being disappointed either by her moving away as the former one or by her showing some hidden characters i have yet to see in her while we stay as "friends" for now. Mind you, as at now, she's not the "SPOILT" type, At least, i have witnesses to that, she is even a "Virgin" but then i get bored sometimes when around her or when communicating with her. She hardly talks except i do the talking, and even when i ask her to say something, she ends up by saying "I don't know what to say" or "what do you want me to say". I am this blunt type that whenever she says stuffs like this, i end up telling her how i feel and how bad it would be having someone who can sustain a communication skill with me. (By the way, she's fluent in English language and can as well speak Yoruba too so that's out of the reasons).
Conclusively, I am this type that won't ask you to change, but won't shy away from telling you what i feel and how i feel whenever the need arising and i have been able to let her know my mind, but it seem this is just her way of life ( Quiet and boring sometimes) but beautiful and mild with a commendable character. so please guys, should i wait for her to change a bit before popping the question or should i give up and look elsewhere for someone with similar characteristics but outspoken and "lively"?
First of all, your first relationship, did you ever tell her that you dont really her to ask so many questions at a time because you kinda feel uncomfortable? If you did not well, thats a bad mistake cause in a relationship, whatever a person is doing or acting, the person is always unaware about his/her actions because throughout a person's life, no one has really exactly corrected the person. The best person to correct anothe person is from the person's spouse / partner / lover / family member / close friend so yeah, whatever you dont like in your partner, you should always comfront the person in a proper and respectable way and work things out from there.

Uhm. . . Usually if a person is destines to be with a person, the communication shouldnt be a barrier I guess? undecided

But anyways, if you think theres no spark going on, just levae it and move on. When the right person comes to you, it shall come to you. If not, than you're faited to be so.
RomanceRe: Yellow Love by Gabry(f): 4:06pm On Mar 29, 2009
Ok no beef me ooo BUT I have asked my housemates (just incase if you dont know, they are Naija boys) on why are they dating Oyinbo's instead of black ladies.

The Igbo's usually say this:- just to taste how they taste like but in the end of the day, I always go back to my African Queen. Of course Ill marry all this Oyinbos cause I want their money and also to have fun with them but I will surely go back to my roots. Nobody can beat the African gene! NOBODY!

The rest says that: OH SHAIT! African girls? Chinike! All they ever cares about this days is money money money. If you are not rich, forget about dating one cause they will treat you like shait! They are blinded by the money and thats all. Thats why I love Asian and White so much cause they show real love and they mostly are always by your side in good and rough times. Especially Asians.

And some commented that African girls all mostly have smelly toto shocked embarassed lipsrsealed (I dont know ooo) cause they are freakin lazy angry angry angry (maybe only the girls they met sha) undecided and too high maintenance especially on their hair!!! huh huh huh

Yeah. Thats what I got

But my bf says No comment! Different people have different characters. One mans food is another mans poison
FamilyRe: Should I Still Play The Foolish Woman? by Gabry(f): 3:43pm On Mar 29, 2009
Igbo and divorce ke? The thing is that yeah, they might not divorce but most of them really run away from their family. And whats common in the Oyinbo land for Igbos is that they marry a Oyinbo and have children with them but in the end of the day, they will still go back to their lovely country called Nigeria and marry their own kind. Thats what most of your brothers tell me here and thats what I heard and thats what I saw with my own eyes.

Keep doing it jor! Sooner or later everyone else will hate your guts you aunt fanny!!!!! angry angry angry

Hey Gabby,
I dont think your bf really wants you to quit your job,he only wants you to spend more time wit him. Create a lot more time wit him maybe on weekends i know its tight but try.you dont want him looking outside do you?
The situation in your job is interim make him understand that. Also its a good time to prove to your boss that you can handle challenges,i know you can. A promotion usually comes wit such challenge. Remember its just an interim job situation.
Be strong.
I always tells him and myself. I dont care if he looks outside cause If I find out, lets just say he is not meant for me, Finito! Im not bothered. . . angry

Just a little busy, lots of undone work around here,am trying to clear my desks. I heard you talk about crying all night whats that about? hope you ok now.
Cheers.
Yes. . . Ive been crying alot lately. My boss gave me the job of 5 people cause 4 of our managers had left the organization and Im not sure if I can make decisions and get held responsible for it at all times and I dont really know how to go about their jobs cause Im not from that line and la di da la di da. My bf hates me for doing this cause he said that Im still getting the same pay and I have work till night time most of the time and I dont spend much time with him lately and us trying to work out at our sexual activities is like me trying to avoid him. Im not trying to avoid him just that I don know. . . Maybe cause Im scared and also am tired. And we have been arguing most of the time over stupid small petty things. And he gets angry coz I dont go and watch him play football anymore so stuff like that. Its bugging me and I reallyfeel bad for him and now he wants me to quit my job and stuff like that. Its crazy and I dont think I want to be jobless no matter how small the pay is cause I love to work. sigh. . . . . Ben, what do you think I should do?

World switches off to save planet in "Earth Hour"

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Lights went out at tourism landmarks and homes across the globe on Saturday for Earth Hour 2009, a global event designed to highlight the threat from climate change.

From the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge to the Eiffel Tower in Paris and London's Houses of Parliament, lights were dimmed as part of a campaign to encourage people to cut energy use and curb greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels.

Organizers said the action showed millions of people wanted governments to work out a strong new U.N. deal to fight global warming by the end of 2009, even though the global economic crisis has raised worries about the costs.

"We have been dreaming of a new climate deal for a long time," Kim Carstensen, head of a global climate initiative at the conservation group WWF, said in a candle-lit bar in the German city of Bonn, which hosts U.N. climate talks between March 29 and April 8.

"Now we're no longer so alone with our dream. We're sharing it with all these people switching off their lights," he said as delegates and activists sipped bluish cocktails.

The U.N. Climate Panel says greenhouse gas emissions are warming the planet and will lead to more floods, droughts, heatwaves, rising sea levels and animal and plant extinctions.

World emissions have risen by about 70 percent since the 1970s. China has recently overtaken the United States as the top emitter, ahead of the European Union, Russia and India.

BILLION PEOPLE TAKE PART

The U.N. Climate Panel says rich nations will have to cut their emissions to a level between 25 and 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2020 to avoid the worst effects of warming. Developing nations will also have to slow the rise of their emissions by 2020, it says.

Australia first held Earth Hour in 2007 and it went global in 2008, attracting 50 million people, organizers say. WWF, which started the event, is hoping one billion people from nearly 90 countries will take part.

"The primary reason we do it is because we want people to think, even if it is for an hour, what they can do to lower their carbon footprint, and ideally take that beyond the hour," Earth Hour executive director Andy Ridley told reporters at Sydney's Bondi Beach.

In Asia, lights at landmarks in China, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines were dimmed as people celebrated with candle-lit picnics and concerts.

Buildings in Singapore's business district went dark along with major landmarks such as the Singapore Flyer, a giant observation wheel.

Other global landmarks that switched off their lights included the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, the Reserve Bank in Mumbai, the dome of St Peter's Basilica in Rome, Egypt's Great Pyramids and the Acropolis in Athens.
