2Radii: ahaa Bros pls clear me, €200 as savings in a week or in a month??
If its in a week then that is good, but in a month!! That is rubbish na.
I want to japa but with this u said now, €200 savings in a month, how wil i be happy? I make as much as that as a savings here in Nigeria, even as a man with a woman and a kid That's just the honest truth and reality my brother, and with the inflation at the moment, you'd even struggle to meet all your expenses not to talk of saving up... EU countries like Spain, Italy, Greece, and France are an advanced Africa in this regards and the Japarians need to be informed. The savings are monthly. It is advisable to acquire a professional skill and an in-demand one to beat this "hand-to-mouth" bracket. |

ibechris: A Nigerian man based in the United Kingdom (UK) has lamented on Twitter over the high cost of living in the country.
According to Jamal, he earns about €1550 (N660k), but spends €1300 (N554k) on monthly expenses after all deductions. He advised people planning to travel abroad to be cautious because they are ‘diving straight into a cost of living crisis’.
In his words: “Those who are planning to japa from Nigeria to UK this 4th quarter are literally diving straight into a cost of living crisis. Those who have lived here and are somewhat settled are struggling a lot. May God provide for us all.
My current salary pcm is around £1550 after deductions. My total monthly expenses are around £1300 excluding savings. I hope this helps.” At all at all na him be winch pikin. ogbonti: which Uner driver dey make $6k to $8k a month ? lie lie kee u there - i have uber drivers as church members and members of the nigerian community - some will have to literally live in their car to make $2,500 a month as profit after buying gas and maintaining their cars -
Factor in short grocery store rides which they can’t reject and those tipping $1 or $2 and those trips they have to drive like 3 to 4 miles to go pick up someone who is just going to the next 2 streets away - an Uber driver once lamented that he had to drive almost 5 miles to come pick me up because if he rejected the request he will be made inactive for 6 hours as punishment
only for him to discover i was going to a trip of less than a Mile away and to think he slept in his car overnight, I felt so sorry for him and tipped him $20 - he was almost in tears appreciating me
please don’t be fooled - Uber is crap even in the western world just that it’s worse in Nigeria And I'm supposed to get myself into a banter with an uncouth tripe like you? God forbid.... Keep cursing yourself, you'll meet your mates further down the lane. |

Sorry for all you've been through and thank God for breakthrough. Oh, ma. Thank you so much for the kind words and your willingness to do an exception by buying and reading my book. It means a whole lot to me. However, I regret to inform you that I currently do not have any hard copies as of now, having shared them to school and folks around me. The only avenue for a hard copy is through Amazon and I can understand if you are unable to order one from there depending on your current location. Please, if you can, try the e-copy on either okada books or Amazon. You are appreciated ma. 1 Like |

And they'll hardly ever add new features to help Driver-partners earn a decent living and be able to cover the cost of fuelling and maintaining their vehicles.
It is all always tilted to favour riders and attract new riders to their app at the detriment of the driver-partners.
The honest truth is, this ride-sharing business isn't ripe and beneficial to partners and won't be in the nearest future because if it were to be placed at par with how it is in the developed climes, riders here won't be able to afford the fares die to their income disparities which ultimately ends with the drivers labouring almost in vain.
An Uber driver in the developed world can easily make a good $6-8k in a month. But yeah, it is what it is.
Take advantage of the massive unemployment in the developing and third world countries just as they do in the hellish Indian and Lebanese factories because the citizens are desperate and would rather be seen to be leaving home on a daily in the guise of a hustle. |

Ilekokonit: Of course she will not want to come back to Nigeria. Which woman will want to leave a country that is the single parent capital of Europe (where Govt gives single mothers handsome amounts of cash ever month IF they are single mothers) and return to a country like Naija where the man is still the KING.
The wife na nurse sef. The guy will become a slave and/or end up in prison if he makes the fatal mistake of relocating to join her in the UK. As a Nurse, she will never be out of work but if the husband does not work in the health care field he will at first struggle to get a job and he will suffer periods of unemployment now and again as that's how economies work and his periods of unemployment especially the first long spell of him not having a job when he just lands in the UK is when his wife will ensure she fully enslaves him.
There is a reason a lot of UK men are happily single. Reason am. No be say we nor like to nack or live with woman but most Naija women in the UK are worse than demons and its suicidal living with them 'cos IF you decide to be a real man and you live with them, you will either end up in prison or unemployed or dead or all of the above.
Make bros nor try relocate to join his wife o as na suicide be dat o. Funny, but the honest and bitter truth.... @sokeril You are lucky to have this many mature and experienced posters on your thread, believe me. Go ahead and pass these comments from @Ilekokonit to your brother for a digestion. If I were your brother, hell to the no will I uproot myself and thriving career to head to the unknown because of a threatening and manipulative woman trying to get me where she wants me. This is a recipe for disaster on all fronts.. |
