Romance › Re: Would You Date Or Marry A Nigerian Girl If She Smokes And Drinks? by gaby(m): 2:11pm On Oct 18, 2006
Aha, Niaja people, i can see a whole lotta hypocrites here who wouldnt event practice what they preach,

Hell yeah almost everyone on the forum wouldnt date or marry a nigerian girl who drinks or smoke, you can tell that to my little cousin,

How many guys in here would say no to beyonce knowing she smokes and drinks and wants them for a soulmatehuh

And how many girls in here would say not to Jay-z knowing he smokes and drinks and wants them for a soulmatehuh

Answer these questions honestly first before reacting to this topic peeps and stop being ignorant,

Dating or marrying a girl to me solely depends on my happiness not about what someone else thinks about my babe or something even though i wouldnt stand and fold my hands and watch my babe go over board with either smoking/drinking, i sure would do my best to make her quit it because ofcourse it's obivous that it could be detrimental to one's health,

I wonder how many guys here who are outside the shores of our country who actually date or marry non-nigerian women who drink and smoke, what do we call that (double standards) i call it, if you can condone it with a non-nigerian why in heaven's name should it be different with a Nigerian babe,

Wake up peeps and stop looking at issue from just one perspective and blinding ourselves to the very obvious,

Thats my take on this and sure wiaitng for criticisms from any corners

Peace y'all

Sports › Re: Is The Referee Right For Giving John Obi Mikel That Red Card. by gaby(m): 6:36pm On Oct 17, 2006
John Obi Mikel is a talent no doubt about that but this boy needs some growing up to do because i've had opportunities to be around him especially since he started playing for chelsea he's just turning himself into something no one can really explain in terms of the way he carries himself i think all he needs at this point is to concentrate on his career and justify the long -saga that enshrined his transfer and also justify his buy,

Check out the offences that led to his bookings these were just uncalled for, for the second booking if he had brought the player down while trying to reach the ball i would have had my reservations about the red-carding but for Goodness sake you've been beaten why don't you queue up behind and try gaining the ball back instead of pulling your opponent on the neck while the ref. was just a few yards away, and what right has he to scream at the ref, is it because he is a chelsea player>??He had better grown up and not turn himself into the White pigly-toutly wayne rooney who lacks manners in all ramifications wonder how and where he learnt to kick a ball,

Mikel Obi,please find a better and more constructive way to want to be noticed on the pitch instead of resorting to those bs, i trust Murinho even though he would sure want to justify the amount spent on you he wont think twice before furnishing your bench to be well warmed up,

You got my prayers Boy Grow up and the sky is your limit because you are a star in the making,

One love bro

VOR:
Gaby

Sorry to hear about your problem. Must be really hard for you, I know I wouild go mad if I wasn't able to see my kids for whatever reason.

For the UK you can apply for a special visa on the rights of access grounds to a child in the UK.
However, this visa is not given lightly and there are a lot of conditions that you must be able to satisfy.

1. You have to be able to prove your parenthood of the child. So an original long birth certificate
with both parents named on it is the minimum requirement of proof. DNA evidence of your paternity
would be even better.
2. You will need a court order from a court in the UK giving you access rights. If you don't already have this
then it will be very hard if not impossible for you to get it from Nigeria. Family law is not my area of specialisation
so you may need to contact a lawyer in the UK to sort this out for you if necessary.
3. Proof that you intend to take an active role in your childs upbringing. Evidence of how you have supported your child to
date will be useful.e.g have you been sending him money, presents etc.
4. That the child's mother is resident in the UK. I have a fear that this will be a problem as from what you have said she is not
a legal resident. If she has however been granted refugee status as opposed to being an asylum applicant then that is different.
Which is she?
5. Finally, you must produce evidence of your ability to maintain and accommodate yourself without the need for welfare whilst in theUK.
And I should also point out that if you have an adverse immigration history in the UK then that may well go against you.By adverse I mean I hope you have not been deported from the UK or committed any immigration or even criminal offences while in the UK.

Hope this helps and good luck.

If it does help I will advise you where to post my cheque in due course. grin grin grin
Dear VOR many thanks for your advise i truly found your kind and wise words helpful, May God bless you immensely,

I'll be seeing him soon because i hold an european resident permit so i would try applying for a visa since i have my boy's Birth Certificate and all other relevant docs to enable me secure a visa,

With reference to your question about the status of my boy's mum she is still an applicant with no positive status yet,

Thanks once again and God bless bro

Hello Fellow Nlers, i am in a dilemma of some sort and i hope you guys can advice me on what to do about this,

Theres this white chick who's my friend's babe and i got to know her through this friend of mine, we do hang out together with my other friends but recently he had broken up with her and this babe is keen on dating one of my other friends whom is well known to the guy she just broke up with, I've tried talking the guy out of going ahead with her and he's assured me that he wouldnt because i do not know how the other friend of mine is gonna take it knowing that one of us is dating the babe he just broke up with,

Although the parties involved in this case are adults who are matured enough to make decisions,i just dont want to be seen as the architect of the whole saga, i might also end up been seen as the mastermind of the crack in their relationship in the first place which is obviously not true but other folks who do not know the real story might not see it that way,

Please fellow nlers i need your advise on how to go about this should i tell the guy of his ex's plans or just ignore them, im in a fix please need some help, tnks

Could anyone here please prescribe sthing for me that could help and still help me keep my normal skin tone,

Would appreciate your suggestions,

Wenger player development? Which player 2 b pricise.
Hoyte's d only player frm arsenal youth team,
was he d 1 that develop d lyks of kanu, henry, bergkamp, wiltord, viera, seaman, fabregas and even d 12m pounds lil'boy frm southampton? n mind u wenger has 'nt won d prem back 2 back.
Hey my friend why dont u just walk past this thread if u dont know nothing bout the topic, why would u say the BS on ur thread above, compare and contrast Arsene with the above named coaches and check records including champions league and premiership records to know what arsene wenger has been able to achieve with his youthful squad, what has player development got to do with the names you quoted above and if it might interest you of all the players above who left arsenal none left without shedding a tear but they knew they needed to move on with their career to make room for more younger players and thats one of arsenal's greatest points over all other pl clubs,

before arsenal where have u heard of fabregas, eboue, toure, senderos, hleb, clichy, cashley, just to mention a few,

How dare u say hoyte;s d only player from arsenal's youth team, why dont you pass if you are unsure of what u are saying,

But who am i to say all the best smiley
Well tnks for your comments, but im so sorry the only thing you can get with that amount 2,500 dollars are just 2 tires , the cheapest of my trucks cost at least 20,000 Euros, so you can do the calcualtion on your own

yeah baby!
i have serious beef with foreign investors who are imperalist in their outlook and refuse to promote a good nigerian image or try and make their business uniquely nigerian. i feel they are out here to make money at the expense of nigerian and nigerians which is altogether disgusting. i strongly feel that we should come up with our own stuff and export it to the west in addition to equally represented views in foreign investorship relations. i don't want another western world in nigeria i want a nigeria that is nigeria -- proud and magnificent, not knock off hollywood, malls and nonsense. scheww

look at MTN for God goodness sake lol, its as if south africa wants to take over, abeg wetin? even british american tobacco that is busy there doing proudly nigerian, they are just here because the nigerian government is taking their crap, their own is even worse than MTN or woolies. i wont even start on oil companies. we should make like chad and give them a real shake down

Gigitte,

you make me feel very bad when I read you. shocked shocked (although i have to accept your viewpoint)

Who says that open- air markets should close down? Of course, they are part of Naija but Naija has to move forward, too, like all the Asian, Arab and Latin American countries do. In Asia (I am not talking abot the highly adavnced countries such as Hong Kong, Japan, Korea or Taiwan but of new emerging markets like Malaysia, Thailand, India, Indonesia, countries on par wth Nigeria) cool and huge malls coexist next to Asian traditional markets and shops! MALLS CREATE EMPLOYMENT AND WEALTH IN A BROADER SENSE, TOO!
Why can´t it be the case for Nigeria, too? Why do you want that The Palms to close down, too? IS THAT A GENERALLY HELD VIEWhuh Have you heard anything about modern marketing methods about wealth creation, principles of modern day market economyhuh Are Europeans still shopping like they did in the 18 th century?
Maybe in US people are complaining about malls but they definitely don´t want to exchange them for our Naija markets,

I am sure you don´t want modern cinemas, spas, fitness clubs, theme parks, hotels, good universities, good health clinics, fast food (even if all of it had a Nigerian flavour), because all that is not originally Nigerian. AM I RIGHT??undecided tongue huh shocked

I am sure that this is the Nigeria you want to see
