I watched Channels weekend programme, Sunrise this morning where they had 2 FAAN union members speaking on the GAT terminal. What I found amusing was their insistence that if GAT was handed over to Bi-courtney, FAAN would be finished. Presently only Arik airlines uses that airport, are they saying that all FAANs operations rely on Arik airlines, what of all the other airports in the country that FAAN is managing? Or is Bi-courtney the one managing the international airports in Lagos, Abuja or Portharcourt. Why are they not talking of Ibadan, Akure or Benin airports.

Arik airlines are being smart by half, Obasanjo dashed them plenty of Nigerian Airways assets at ridiculous prices and gave them unusual concesions (such as Lagos -London route even before they had any physical structures on ground).When Port Harcourt Int airport was closed down they were allowed to build their own terminal at the airforce base and fly from there, I didn't hear FAAN complain then. Apart from them Aero and Virgin Nigeria, no other airline could fly into Portharcourt and they charged outlandish fares, ripping off Nigerians for more than two years. Their godfather is no longer in govt, and it should be pointed out to them that they are a private airline like Aero, Chachangi and the rest. This case has been taken to court and Bi- courtney won, thats why Virgin Nigeria, which is part owned by government moved their domestic operations to MMA2. Arik too went to court and lost, they should stop trying to confuse Nigerians.

Well, i remember one sunday, i was leaving school with my friends
and he had his laptop in the boot, after the policeman (somewhere around Ikeja)
had seen the particulars and all the car papers , he said he wanted to check the boot

My friend got out and opened it, they saw our bags and laptop, dude started to ask for
the papers. We were all shocked, but my friend started speaking to him in yoruba,
that we were students ooh, Another policeman, apparently the senior came to see what was wrong
my friend told him, and then after seeing our ID Cards they let us go.

My friend was like, instead of the dude to ask for sunday-sunday tonic, we would have given him
but he went ahead to stupidly harass us = empty stomach.

i think its just their frustration that leads to all this nonsense attacks, the 'yahoo yahoo' boys
they cannot catch because they are the same people that will hail them in their tinted 'big car'
while they hand out a measly N500
