No one stands out so much, It's really blergh.

The ones ahead the pack would be
Rebecca, Mary and Matt.

Treyc and John annoyed me, I think he is gonna go.
I wouldn't mind cause he looks like the twin brother of one stalker I had.

I can't believe how much this Gamu's story is on the internet.
A friend in the States, was busy asking me just what the story was.

Me sef, My dream last night was swamped with Gamu, not really but a darker version of her mum
there were lots of people speaking some Zimbabwean language
I'm pretty sure a girl was speaking to me and I had to keep saying,
I'm Nigerian! I'm Nigerian!!, I don't understand!

I hope they get sorted out, but this should be a lesson to lots of Immigrants doing shady things

That's really sad then.
They have done themselves in.
I guess they thought it would be a sure passport
to getting a higher status in the UK. undecided

There are so many illegals there, it's funny.
The government would find pleasure in flushing them out
while the X-factor would be smiling to the bank.

So Gamu and her family have to leave the UK,
I find it hard to believe they didn't meet the renewal criteria.
Plus, She should have some status of her own by now.
What a pity.
Religion / Re: Single Moms: Stop Abusing Your Kids And Saying You Love Them by Gamine(f): 2:17pm On Oct 05, 2010
anonymus:

No, I am not guilty about having sex before marriage. I'm happy that I did because I knew that my husband is a good man, before I was trapped and couldn't get out of it easily. I very plainly pointed out that a marriage license and a ring is not needed to prove that we are commited to each other. If you actually read what I'd written instead of automatically attacking me because you don't agree with what I've written, you might figure that out. Considering that the person who had written the article said that people who have intimacy before marriage are whores. I think that my activity or lack thereof is relevant because it proves that I don't sleep with every person who comes along, therefore, not everyone who has sex before marriage is a LovePeddler. My definition of a LovePeddler is a woman who is indiscriminate about who she sleeps with and many times it is for money. It is a fact that men can act one way and actually be another, that even when you think that you know him, and you get married, he can end up being the biggest mistake that you made in your life. The person who wrote this acts like men are immune to being complete jerks if they are good religious men. Good "religious" men are not immune to being bad guys just because they are religious. Just ask my mom, who was a virgin before she married, btw, She ended up with a good "religious" man who beat her and her kids, called all of us names, and despoiled her. Yes, it is despoil, when she doesn't agree to it. The bible says, "Protect your wife like Jesus protects the church." In other words, treat her with respect. despoiling her is not respect. The despoil that he performed was sodomy, which is not a good thing according to the bible. My mom told me about this when I was a teenager because she was too embarrassed to tell anyone else. She's protected my dad his entire life. He's never touched me, but it turns out that he's been accused of sexually abusing 2 six year old girls. My mom told my siblings and I that she saw him do it. Now she's changed her story because she's afraid that he might kill her. So, he might walk because my mom is afraid of him. And he still gets to call himself a good religious man because everyone has been too afraid to speak up about him, except me. I turned him in as soon as my mom told me about the abuse. Now there's physical evidence that it happened. My mom hates me. Which is better though? Saving kids or saving face? And it is a fact that many religious people are hypocrites. It's a fact that many religious people are not happy in their marriages. They get divorced, they have dreams about other people, or they cheat. In your bible, doesn't it say that even dreaming about someone else while you're married is adultry? Yet, many married christians do it. It says, in the bible, not to drink the "fruit of the vine", yet I see many "religious" people at the bars drinking alcohol. I also remember a very famous passage, "judge not lest ye be judged", yet, the person who wrote the article is judging women who've had sex before marriage, and so are you. Merriam-Webster Dictionary describes a hypocrite as being:

1: a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion
2: a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings

It's not name-calling when it's a fact. Who's the hypocrite? Not me for stating facts. It's you.

Very Very On point.

Religion / Re: Why Do Some Christians Hate To Pay Their Tithes? by Gamine(f): 2:31pm On Oct 04, 2010
Conditioning, It's very sad to see.

People need to go and study their Bibles instead of all this pay/don't pay tithes. As if Money or Tithing saves anybody.
Everything one does as a 'Christian' should be out of Love so there is no obligation there.

naijacutee: Because tithes are supposed to be paid to God, and not to finance luxury lifestyles. So the reluctance to pay tithes is aimed at paying to particular people, not God.

All the nonsense we do, dancing around the place because we want to put N5000 into the offering bag in front of the church, where everyone can see does not glorify God. We do it to glorify ourselves, and to show that we have arrived. What Jesus commanded is that our gifts to God should be paid to the homeless people, beggars on the street and people in the most desperate need. People we see around us everyday.  This is a hard saying, but it is true. What is the point of going to church on Sunday and donating towards someones 2011 Lexus Jeep (Trust me, that is what he is saving the money for), when you leave the church and there are little children selling groundnut everywhere?

Abi ooh. Churches would assemble committees to buy the Pastor a car or jet and what not.
LOL@dancing around the place, It's a pity Churches are now reduced to Show and Tell arenas.
Where else would you show off your new outfit or cars?

Reminds me of the silly Igbo neighbours I had that R.APED a young girl
on New Years Day, so called 'Lagos Big-Boys'
They need to find a hole to dump these kinds of people so they ROT to death.

VALIDATOR:

The report couldn't even tell us the ages of the rrapped girls. I really hope the STI is not HIV inclusive.

This often happens as a result of young girls accepting seemingly harmless gifts from grown boys and adult men. Some men's philosophy is "Nothing goes for nothing".
Whatever your socio-economic status, if you have a girl child, make sure you do everything to discourage her from asking grown boys for money. Teach her to develop a habit of always reporting any nice harmless gift given to her by anybody outside your nuclear family. By so doing, you can see the red flag before things get out of hand.

The ages are there, Six and Seven

@Gamine: madam, calm down. grin lol. i didnt exactly say shea butter is bad 4 her hair but if u read her post again, u wud see wia she said it makes her 'hair really hard' to quote her so i was just considering possible cause. plus her hair is natural wich means kinky or 'nappy' if u wanna be Behind. lol. but fact is, mine is relaxed so i can afford to apply shea butter. see? but since we aint callin our hair any names, then shea butter it is wink wink

It's a product review thread and it wouldn't be nice to mislead people.
But like I suggested there are other threads on natural hair and the products that work.
If you think we can't 'afford' to put shea butter on natural hair you should look them up too.

Because you don't see them doesn't mean they don't 'run' things.
Those in the background are usually the most powerful.

Besides, did you conduct any survey to ask the 'whites' and 'Asians' why?

@ Gamine
I found out shea butter actually makes my hair really hard
not sure if its because its the first growth of nappy hair
I read on one akata forum that the first nappy hair growth after transitioning is often resilient
and girl my hair gives me serious headache can you believe that?
and to think Ive always had really soft and manaegable natural hair before the perm.

so what mindset do you think I have about manageable nappy hair grin
I just realy want it to remain soft not oily and heavy you get what I mean.
I guess have some reading to do lemmi peruse this thread again
thanks doll!

Yeah you should look around this Fashion section, there are threads which focus mainly on hair.
I transitioned also and never had problems with shea butter. You should mix it with Oil,
Olive Oil like I mentioned for example.
The mindset is that somehow overnight your hair would become soft (like brazilian/indian hair.lol)
You have to cultivate a culture of using such things and also understand for yourself what these products
actually do for the hair.

AyoB:

@browncocos: hmmmn. i certainly can imagine your mindset cos your hair is definitly one of d first tins dt makes an impression. shocked,  i dnt tink u shud use shea butter 4 natural hair. at least, not if its already disvirgned or 2nd growth of natural hair. grin,  i dnt tink your hair will absorb it well. pele. am sure d akata forum was referring to dia own nappy hair wich defintly isnt same wit ours. our own na kinky. dia own na nappy. go figure! lol. mayb u shud try dia shampoos n leave-in conditioners 4 natural hair and am sure if u check hair products, u wud find somfin non-greasy, light n gud 4 your hair. wud let u knw if i find any. cheers gal wink :

I don't understand, you said Shea butter was good for your hair and you are telling her not to use it?
What is the difference between nappy and kinky?? Why is their hair different??
I don't call my hair any name though, It is just tightly coiled hair.

Omadays shocked

I'm not a Fashion Designer, atleast not yet grin
But I did get what I wanted then.

ikamefa:

u need a tailor or sponsor? undecided

dont you wanna be able to sew the clothes u design yourself? undecided

the sponsor part i kinda understand, funds these days are hard to come by

but the tailor part? hummmmmmm! undecided

I don't get your point. How many designers sew cloths themselves undecided

minute:

Why don't you find a job as an intern to get some

money and work your way up in the fashion industry?

That way, you can have examples of your designs and how

you make them. Make a portfolio with all your designs so

when you go to intern, they'll know your style, how you work etc.

Thanks but this was years ago and I don't intend to go this route.
