manover: Hello house, my cousin lives in Imo and he want to travel to lagos to get his university transcript certify, and other documents, Please what do the embassy normally required from applicant before they can get his documents certify at the Germany embassy in Lagos!

I heard they need application letter and international passport? and i don't have application letter, i dont know if they will certify my documents without admission letter! Please i need advice from the house.

Ur question sef. Wait. U mean u wanna go to German embassy to certify the documents on behalf of ur Cousin. ? Or U're are going to German embassy to certify ur own personal documents. ?
Anyways try download application form from the university website or uniassist and go along with it.

suckermaterial: finally, my school refused to extend my resumption date that I should wait for next year winter. embassy even mailed me to ask of extension which I still forwarded to them but they refused. embassy later mailed me yesterday for collection of my documents. maybe God want me to go to Germany for my PhD since my master's program here in Nigeria is only remaining just to defend.
but I have some questions.
1. if I get admission in another school preferably this summer, hope there will be no problem with embassy.
2. how is PhD programs in Germany because I my apply for my PhD since am almost through with my masters program here in Nigeria?
3. please I need schools in West that offers civil engineering or related courses in English both for PhD and masters. since the school I applied to before was in east( thuringria).

Your Cgpa on d German sys. Should be 2.8 that is satisfactory. But I think most schools always ask for < 2.5 (Good). Just do ur research well. U get.

I went for my visa last Friday, and i'm really glad that everyone here is having a good testimony to tell, and those that are waiting i believe that your visas will be issued.

Yap EMS is track able too. I sent my documents To your school via EMS and it cost 8190. But it took 5 days sha oo.

wonderbobs: I already have the admission, am just waiting for my visa interview which would be coming up on the 28th of this month, I did it the mormal way, download the form fill and printout.... Then sent it to my sister in germany who paid the 50 euro for me with the envelope and the stamp and sent to the school. Then waited till they mailed me that I got my course, I included all the short certificate courses I did, I think it went a long way to help and they where mainly hse courses related to the course I was doing. I didn't write any toefl, but you are lucky because we have wonderful people in this forum like tope, godson and angel(pls no head swelling oo) that can help you with the stamp, envelope and all(u gats send them the money ooo, no be for free).... Wish you luck as you do your application.

Angel Diamond: This is how a normal University should handle things..............You should have your transcript..........it is your right..........but some schools make you believe its an abomination.......lol.........

The reason Nigerian schools would wanna send it directly to uni-assist or any other school for admission processing is to eliminate the third party (the owner of the transcripts) so as to prevent u from editing it ( u know how dubious we nigerian students are) students fit Edit hin third class enter First Class and God sef go fear. LOOL.

UK and Nigeria are two very different places. With different system of operation.

Well, in Oau, every student is entitled to have a certified copy of his/her transcripts( *for personal record), so u can use it for admission if u want), they would even tell u during convocation. But when it comes to masters admission processing, that's when they'll tell u to put down the address of the school, and pay #2k( Mind u, na Nipost dem go use, and e go tey before e reach that school) So, u can tell them u wanna use courier,(just buy like #500 recharge card give them) that's all. Therefore there's no big deal in having ur transcripts afterall na the results of the exam wey u write. There's nothing jaga jaga about it.

Restricted Admission" means that there are far more applicants than available study places in the study programme and, thus, not
every applicant can get an admission. And mind you, some schools already have a fixed percentage of non EU students to be admitted.

emeka55: Well, that's ur opinion. Mine is different. I didn't tell him to do it, I just stated what I'd do if it were me and no one said anything about desperation to enter Germany! If one does proper research, one could see that the same course that requires Ielts and Toelf in one Uni may not require it in another Uni. Also people have gone for related courses simply because the course they were applying to required GMAT and they just couldn't start to write Gmat. Tope once stated also that he took International business not because he truly wanted it but most courses are restricted and he applied for a related course to enhance his admission chances.
The focal point is getting admitted to the University even if it is not ur desired course and when u get there u can make a better plan. Than sticking to just one course area and be praying till u get picked cos one may have Ielts, Gmat, Toefl etc and still be rejected in 15 Universities.
If travelling to Germany is also not part of ur excitement, why don't u apply to University of Ibadan or Uniport?

Seriously. I dig ur opinion. I made same mistake of sticking to a particular course (msc Economics) which has a restricted admission. I applied to like 3 schools and I was rejected by all. If I had know I'ld have mixed it with other courses rather than put all eggs in one basket. this time I ain't gon make same mistake.

for people planing to come to the south accomodation is a big issue here,try and get it before coming down.if u can learn language as well please do it helps alot.....

please bring alot of african food oh,jeans,winter jacket its expensive here.u can get a jean at 5o euro here.at the airprot tell them u are a student,dont give dem anything.
