@Gazzuzz an guys please I did a small experiment with my Honda Accord 1998 i4. My trip meter was on 132.4km when I refilled my tank with 17.2 liters.
Will I say the consumption level is ok considering the car has bad/no catalytic converter?

I drive a 2004 nissan xterra v6 engine

I drained the oil and changed the filter like 7weeks ago

Oil was replace with 10w40 oil grade

All was well until 2 saturdays ago when i had to travel to ibadan from lagos via ijebu-ode from ikorodu

I was in a hurry and so my foot was heavy on the pedal

Checked oil the following day and it wasnt guaging.it was extremely low...no visible leaks{cos i went under d car to inspect},no blue smoke(cos i looked in d rearview mirror often during the journey) and no blue smoke in d mornin.only steam

Now,here is the thing.tho i cant see any blue smoke,i am of the opinion that it is smoking.my kazeem insists it isnt smoking,but that its just shorting oil....this leaves me confused

Apart from smoking and visible leaks,how else does an engine shorts oil?

It might not be smoking, but just shorting oil.

BTW what oil brand did you use?

I have a problem with my RAV 4 2007 model, automatic steering. Just in morning when I started up, I noticed unusual lights on in the car dashboard. I went to see my tech to scan the problem with his MaxiCheck.
Results are below in the image attached. Can you help on this? Because the tech said he cannot do anything.

Please can somebody advise me; Honda Odyssey 2002 Model. I changed the ATF with Honda DW I which I bought in Enugu and I was on speed after two weeks and the gear missed and later picked up and continued. Some minutes later it stop picking gear. I used D3 and D1 to get to my destination. Although it stopped a lot of times. I got home and I packed it in the morning, I started the car moved it and it moved but later refuse to enter gear. So what I noticed is that once you start the car the gear will work, but immediately the gear heats up, the gear will not work again. I was advised to change the ATF again with Dextron III (because we suspected that the Honda DW I was a fake ATF) which I did and still the same problem. please what is the problem and what do I do. I need urgent advice.

Buy new gearbox and rest. Your valve body is now filled with dirt.

Yest it is something I can do. Unfortunately I will not be able to at the moment.

After this we check for more dents, fill and sand down then primer again. Hopefully there should be no or very few this time.
