Why put a v8 engine that is liquid cooled under your precious eggs?

And the engine was in storage for how long?

It is advice able you change the oil of a used engine, unless you know how old the oil is, and what was used (mineral,syinthetic semi,palmoil)

I changed my engine. A 98 Elantra (Avante) last month end. Now the Rev pic is erratic. Sometimes it goes up like it is revving itself, sometimes it stays normal. This causes some lurching movements at times.
Please what could be the cause
Nb: when I finished with the change and complained to the mechanic about the gear taking some time to enter reverse directly (unless I put it to drive first) he said it should not bother me. That I should take it to the express and the wahala will stop over time. the gear wahala stopped. And the uneven movement evened out too until last week when my alternator stopped working, and when I changed it, the engine will be going high at will, and there was this movement like the thing is changing gears on its own will while driving sometimes
Please your advice will be very welcome.

Blocked catalyst.

Check your catalyst (front side radiator) ensure its not blocked.

I don't intend to, besides I don't know the way that much, I only know to branch at ife road at the ibadan interchange, also I know kogi to kano is on straight line my problem will be navigating through osun and ondo to the okenne road but I intend to mak use of the almighty SYGIC, my intended speed will be around 120 and 150km, maybe 220km once just to prove am a Dare devil.

Lived in the north for 20years. I've made this kind of trip over a 100times. Drive slow. 120max. There used to be over 30check points from lagos to abuja, driving fast will not help you beat the checkpoints and bad roads. You also recently rebuilt that engine.

5years, how many miles have you covered?

If it is less than 100,000k it is not necessary.

Since it is not a life-threatening transmission oil change, I'll suggest you source the oils your self by importing.

Hello house,

There's this wheezing sound I hear when I cold start my honda accord DC (it sounds like it's coming from the fan belt side of d engine). D sound goes up & down when I turn the steering wheel & stops after about 5mins of running the engine. Any ideas cos it's driving me nuts.

Good day Gazzuzz, kudos to you for all jobs well done. Pls I need your professional advice as regard sienna 99 issues am encountering :- (1) it consume fuel excessively
(2) at times it drags on motion in which it won't shift while feet on accelerator pedal, after like 10 sec or there about, it will shift to high speed,worst scenario it won't move unless to OFF IGNITION and ON again also any time I ON the AC, this issue will surely occur
(3) leakage on the power steering pump hose, (3rd one just got damaged)

WHAT HAS BEEN DONE AS REGARD ITEM 1&2 (3 DIFF.REWIRE)
Knock sensor changed
Air flow meter replaced
Spark plugs replaced
Smoke sensor
Fuel pump ( only the pump)
Was told to replace the coils and also the air flow meter again

Results of scan done by my self
P1150-A/F sensor circuit range / performance Malfunction
P1155-A/F sensor heater circuit Malfunction
Pls, come to my rescue, tire of all this try n errors... abeg oooo

Please rescan vehicle.
