Good evening , I travel to part of oyo state with my Honda Accord 2008, I notice some unusual sounds , i managed to drive the car to my destination and look for a mechanic, the mechanic told me one of the piston have broken and the fuel pomp not good again, he said everything is 72k excluding workmanship, I need your advice sir

Good day, I’ve come again. Thanks for how you helped me the last time, I really appreciate the good work you are doing.

The Alarm of my car goes off on its own, I’m talking about the alarm that prevents people from stealing the car, the one that goes off when you press the red button on the car key. It goes off at weird times like in the middle of the night or in the afternoon. I don’t think anybody wants to steal the car because I park it close to my house inside a compound of only four people. What could cause this issue please, this is a recurring issue that disturbs the whole apartment especially at night.

The car is 2011 Toyota Camry.

In a related or unrelated event, I just changed one of the TPMS recently and this only started after the TPMS issue. I don’t know if it is connected to this or not, other than that the car has never had any major issues.

Good evening, update on the replacement of the four coils of corolla 2009.
After replacement of the coils (4). The problem still persist. It was later suggested that the cylinder gasket was the problem . Lol and behold , after removing the top part of engine , the gasket has cut. My mechanic change the gasket and the car is now working perfect. Thanks

I felt it maybe that my current mechanic was buying terrible replacement parts but I have made order for ignition coils from elizade hoping that it will last better but I am scared it maybe something from car that is ruining the car ignition coils.

Good evening all, I want to appreciate everyone on this thread for their wealth of experience shared and most especially GAZZUZZ for creating the thread and ensuring that all issues raised get response. The experience gotten from this thread and other threads on nairaland with the help of God helped me to get a super neat car from a fellow Nairalander (An Honda Accord DC Naija used). Its been joy since I bought it.
But something is giving a serious concern, I bought the car nine months ago during COVID-19 as at then Mobil 5w20 was not in the market and I needed to service it, so my mechanic sudgested I use Mobil 20w50 which I opted for as the car was very due for service. I had serviced it twice after that using same oil (20w50) though at lower milage put on it (first @ 500+ mile and second @ about 1000 mile ) because I service it at exactly 3 months interval. I bought it with 160,000miles on it and a had only put like 2500miles on it.
The issue now is that I want to go back to its recomended oil, is it safe to do that at this point owing to the fact that I have only used 20w50 for nine months.
Let me stress that the engine is still rock solid still drips water @ silencer and no issue at all.
pls I need your advice on this profs in the house so that I did not shoot myself on the foot. Thanks

I've only been lucky once and it was just 1 pieces I was able to buy.

That particular type of tire are very scarce to see as you... Gazzuzz says he has it one time I contacted him but its very expensive and we needed 4pcs then.

You even have to be good with tire types to even know or identify or different btw a winter and summer or 4seasons tires.

Winter tires are the most popular tires in Nigeria when it comes to tokunbo
